Second for the chronicles of fagness
How should gaming "eBooks" be priced?
>>54166294
Real answer, however the market will allow.
This is nothing new, every new media and medium technology promise a drop in price once large scale adoption is reached which never comes. Because people will pay whatever is asked, and producers want as much profit as possible.
>>54166369
>however the market will allow.
Pretty much. But a small caveat: government has to monitor and make sure companies don't collude on prices, as Amazon tried to do. They have to compete in the market.
>>54166294
As a personal preference I wouldn't pay more than 1/2 the price of a real hardcopy book. Around 1/3 to 1/4 the price makes me very keen to buy.

Subfaction rules for all armies? Or am I misreading this?

Tatakae!! tatakaundayo!! kate nakya....shinu......kate ba ikiru...tatakawanakereba katenai...
Any rumor anons have any word on what the other 6 before Christmas will be?
>SM in July
>after that is CSM
>based on some quick math, assuming regular spacing between the 10 codexes by Christmas, my CSM book could easily come out on my birthday
Thanks for being so thoughtful geedubs.
Good job buying indexes! It's sure been a fun two weeks, hasn't it?
FUCK YOU BUY CODEXES
HAVE FUN GETTING LEFT BEHIND LOSERS THAT AREN'T SPACE MARINES

>>rules for playing with Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Deathwatch or Grey Knights armies, so you’ll still need Index: Imperium 1 to play with those
MANLETS BTFO
funny....you think your not gonna need the indexes to use the codexes...reason they called them INDEXES!!
>>54166142
blood angel tac squad
refer to page 123 of the index imperium 1
So how the fuck will the Octarius War resolve itself now that the Prophet of Waagh himself has arrived? Because so far it's been Orks getting pounded
>>54165623
1-Dumbass. The Orks cleared the Tyranids out of the planet Ocatrius. They won.
2-Dumbass, The Hivemind sent two tendrils in response
BUT
The Hive Fleet these tendrils come from has been deleted by Chaos. Leaving these two tendrils among the surviving bits of the Hive Fleet. This means no more reinforcements for the Tyranids. They will have to work with what they have.
3-Dumbass, Ghaz is building a teleporter to transport himself from Octarius into Armageddon.
As for things go, Orks have the advantage.
>>54165661
I actually stopped at Ghaz's arrival
I thought he grew bored of Armageddon, why'd he want to go back?
>>54165661
1. Dumbass, nice way to blow things out of contexts. Tyranids whooped Orks asses as soon as they arrived. one tendril got BTFO by Orks in space while looking for more resources, but from what few Nids they sent planetside, were able to consume all the Orks there and build new ships. Orks were getting pounded on Octaria until the sudden arrival of Ghaz and his fuckhuge army sparked the Orks planetside into a frenzy that wiped out ONE WAVE of tyranids on one planet. The Orks won that battle, they didn't win the war, evident in that it's still going on
2. >no more reinforcements
Show where in the fluff it says this or stop making bullshit claims
3. >Orks have the advantage
Stop headcanoning
So how about one right now? For this week?
Hmmm, I know maybe we can have these topics for this thread?
>1. Elves serving in a modern day-style military, how'd they do with modern day tactics like combined arms, armor/tanks, guns they'd use, and what about mixing their magics with modern weaponry?
>2. If elves were to (for some magical trans-dimensional reasons) be able to travel or come here into our world. What'd ya think they might do? Political intrigue and kaikakus? Enlighten us with magic? And what countries and nations would try to suck up to them the most?
>3. And or what would a non-japanese-anime-style elf (western elves) feel about Japanese depiction of elves in anime?
How would the space pirates fair in the grim darkness of the far future?
>>54129683
They'd do rather well for themselves overall, though they'd likely not be anything more than a minor power.
They're already willing to throw their troops at things in living waves without a care, said troops are far stronger than the average human (look at how fast they tear you apart during the stealth sequence in Zero Mission for example), are more than willing to advance their tech by any means possible regardless of casualties or origin of the technology, and have all kinds of weird shit. They'd likely be minor-thorn-in-the-Imperium's-side level threat.
Their biggest problem is that they'd fall to Tzeentch almost immediately, honestly. Not that they'd care, they'd just start injecting warpstuff into themselves instead of phazon.
>>54130111
Funny enough they seem really simmilar to Rak'Gol.

>4 arms

I love the priorities, I'll take 7 of them
What's an interesting yet largely unpopular old (Iron Age – High Medieval timeframe, say) culture?
>>54164060
Tibetan
Irish
Orkney
Berber
Georgian
>>54164060
India would be cool. Mythic India would be cooler though.
>>54164060
All of Central Asia.
There were a ton of interesting and advanced cultures there before they got wiped out by the Mongols.
>claim to be the most loyal Primarch, putting his father's vision of Imperium before anything else
>shit on Edict of Nikea and found Librariums as key parts of chapter structure in Codex Astartes
>claim it is necessary to adhere to the Codex, so that marines are ready for anything, well regulated and nothing like Horus Heresy will happen again since "no single man should ever wield the power of a whole legion of Space Marines alone"
>first thing he does is gather ALL the Ultramarines second founding chapters together, forming a Legion in everything but a name, and descends upon Night Lords on Tsagualsa.
Meet Lord Hypocrite, new master of the Imperium.
Alpharius will return and finish the job.

Only Alpharius can save us now.

Im just about to hop into a campaign where I'm finally allowed to play a necromancer without being skewered instantly, I've just started working on the character and I've begun trying to make him Heroic.
What are some things i can be sure to do that will help my status as a good guy, so that even when i walk into town people won't run from or shun me.
first step, lose the skulls.
Make sure you're only resurrecting the dead bodies of people you've slain in battle, and only those of which who actively tried to kill you. It's only fair like that.
Keep all your zombies outside of cities. No one wants to make friends while a corpse is standing right next to them.
Make sure when you describe what your necromancer knight does, he is treating the bodies with care and respect. This guy needs to respect and venerate the dead in his own way, and not see what he's doing as messing with spare tools, like other necromancers do.
>>54163665
Hide your appearance. Mask your scent. Do not cast magic in town.
I always liked the idea of necromancy being a celebration of the life and death cycle. By resurrecting some people who might have fallen short in their life, you can help them achieve something greater than in their past life.
Idk some positive shit like that, only resurrecting those who want to be or deserve it?

What Went wrong?
/Tg/ hates everything.
What doesn't /tg/ like about 5e?
I'm curious to hear opinions other than the "it's awesome" echo chamber I have been hearing.
/tg/ isn't /v/, friend, we can like some things.but what don't YOU like about 5e?
I mean Monk and Ranger have a few trap options that can screw you in mid-high optimization, namely "Way Of The Four Elements" and "The Ranger". It also has a few broken combos involving some mix of Paladin, Sorcerer, and/or Warlock. Also Int is a bit garbage...
A lot of feats are traps.
It frustrates me because feats could be a really good way of subtly tying in a characters backstory to game play mechanics, but as it currently stands representing your characters experience in tavern brawling with the Tavern Brawler feat is an intrusive waste of an ability score upgrade.
However they did touch on this in Unearthed Arcana with some nice feats that add concrete benefits to things like cooks utensils and alchemist's supplies so I am not too mad though.
