Who would win between a modern fighter and a dragon?
I tried to make some comparison using D&D rule but it wasn't really convincing.

If it's a plain dragon, probably the fighter.
If it's one of those wizard dragons, probably the dragon.

Depends on so many factors and circumstances that your question is reduced to nothing more than a meaningless argument starter.

>Werewolfs need any kind of moonlight to turn, but become invincible to anything that isn't silver unless tricked into getting wolfbane in their system.
What can be some ways for them to game the system assuming that anything that emulates moonlight are considered ridiculously illegal, but gasmask where fine?

Well, people who see their lycanthropy as a curse and have the money for space travel might move to planets without moons rather than lock themselves in the cellar every night.

Ok then allow me to rephrase the question that went over your head. My fault sorry.
If a group of werewolfs wanted to rampage on a ship, like for example, for selling said ship afterwards, how can they maximize their chances of catching said ship without getting fucked when the ship gets drowned in Wolfbanegas.

D&D Campaign Advice

Hello lads, I'm a new DM, and I want to be successful, and I have some questions

I'm starting a campaign with a troublesome group of autists that all like to do different things in a campaign

How do I keep them all together without excluding anyone while ensuring they all stay engaged in the world I'm trying to keep together?

Examples:

(Not my campaign)
>Party gets to town
>Immediately two go off and try to become spies
>they refuse to let anyone else join their adventure
>They are having their adventure while everyone waits for their adventure to end

>Party is in town
>one player wants to be troublesome
>Refuses to leave town with group because he wants to marry woman in town
>literally the start of the campaign
35 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>54245831
The party gets cursed in an early session (a villain, cursed loot, whatever) and they can't go more than a certain distance away from each other without bad shit happening to them (choose how punitive you want it to be from, say, nausea, to dropping dead). The curse gets progressively more intense as time goes on, enforcing a time limit of sorts to limit dickery on their part.

It isn't ideal, but they sound like the kind of idiots who need to be handcuffed to the plot railroads.
>>
>>54245831
Just tell them that this isn't a videogame, this is a teamwork game.
Also, if a PC wants to do something not wanting yo involve the others, then present them a challenge that they cannot overcome alone and "force" them either to quit or to involve the other PCs

>INB4 hurr durr don't play Dee&Dee
>>
>>54246023

Ironically enough I was going to do something similar in my first campaign

>First adventure gets them cursed by big bad
>Then they have freedom to try and pursue the cure, the bad, or just say fuck it while they slowly lose their souls to eldritch horrors

Problem is, they weren't leaving the damn town to even go on the first adventure a few minutes away. I since learned from my mistakes since then- but it can be very difficult thinking on the fly without the others realizing you haven't prepared for them!

It got so bad that I was going to make the love interest of one of the players a psychotic cultist just to get him interested in the shit around him... problem is, once I started dropping signs of doing so he lost interest. In hindsight, I should have made her get captured. Fug

debatable

"Malal" isn't because GW doesn't have that copyright anymore.

"Malice" kinda exists through the Sons of Malice but he's never directly mentioned.

tinfoil hat: he's actually the hive mind
>>
>>54245424
The hivemind is just malice. Tyranids are Warp Demons from the void beyond the stars. They didn't actually 'come' from any other galaxy, they are spawned by the nothingness of Malice (who represents that complete absence of emotion and life beyond the reach of the galaxy)

I haven't made a tread on here in a very long time, post every so often and read a ton.
I have been playing Warhammer 40k for a few years now I started at the end of 6th edition. I played all through 7th and felt the power creep of wacky ass formations. When they said that 8th was coming i was excited because I was hoping it would help unfuck the game.
BUT I have always felt it was the codexes that fucked 7th not the core rules. Because 30k used the same core rules and its remains to be one of the best, balanced, fun, tactical, and well written war games I have ever played.
Anyways...
I was not excited when I heard that things were getting simplified but after reading all the stuff that GW has put out, and how the community helped write it I was very impressed. I played game after game and really loved it but the more the rules were clarified and laid out I became less satisfied.
Flamers auto hitting flyers, only a negative 1 to hit flyers from normal guns. Funny meme I thought... But then more apparent problems arose. A vehicle can be placed behind terain all but say the back track of a russ and fire all its guns from that tiny track... wtf.
And finally the other week, me and my friends went to a tournament and spoke with ATC players and of course played. I did not know it at the time but apparently you can just walk through walls because of the way terrain works now. Ive seen the darkness that Warmachine and hordes. When I was at gencon you could see across all 30 fucking warmachine tables flat since there was no terrain. That was more or less the final straw. For all the really awesome stuff they have written for rules that work like perfect little cogs in a large machine in this new edition, these more blatant things are really what is hurting it. BUT. It's not just that, the abuse of the new charts they we were given so that people can play fluffy armies is not ok. To be continued next post.

You think this because you started in 6E and 7E, the shittiest and worst rules in the history of the game.

"And I saw when the uniformed man opened one of the files, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four monitors saying "Come and see." I saw, and behold on the screen was a white horse: and he that sat on him had a rifle; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
And when he had opened the second file, I heard the second monitor say, Come and see.
And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great missile.
And when he had opened the third file, I heard the third monitor say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
And I heard a voice in the midst of the four screens say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of rice for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the coal.
And when he had opened the fourth file, I heard the voice of the fourth monitor say, Come and see. And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and nuclear fire followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with bullet, and with hunger, and with death, and with the infernal machines of man."

>NECROTIC COLOSSUS

>Towering hulks of reshaped and animated flesh are a common sight in the Northern Steppes. Once terrifying siege engines employed in the Horizon Upheavals, a prolonged spate of peace has seen them decommissioned and adapted to cultural rituals. This specific necrotic collossus is actually functioning as a nomadic funeral temple. A site of excarnation that can follow tribes in their caravans, the collossus, once directed by a whip cracking beast master, is now only directed by two weary oxen.

And some music to go with this one.

>NECROMANCER

>Madame Theodosia hearkens from the Aeolian islands and is part of a long lineage of necromancers. Growing up in a family with a long tradition of raising the dead, she was uncharacteristically shaken to learn of her barrenness, and in a rather emotional state vowed to give birth, if not to a new life, then to an already passed life. For this purpose she had found assistance in fashioning a steel, pressurized womb in which the souls of the freshly dead were to be trapped and condensed. This gestating entity came to be referred to in hushed tones as The Collect. The expectant mother now unnerves her followers with a detached resignation towards her eventual agonizing death; a necessity to feed her newborn babe in a self-sacrificial fashion akin to a mother spider.

Pizzas are summoned from a higher plane by priests of Za in a ritual that involves immolating offerings of dough, cheese, tomatoes, and other foodstuffs in an oven. They are believed to be fragments of the god Za himself, hence "pizza", from "piece of Za". The cult of Za is wildly popular, and its temples are a common fixture in most towns. Even fairly small villages often having several different temples of various Za sects competing for the devotion of the populace.

It's orcish food. Fairly common in orc communities in bigger cities and logging camps, but not so much in mining towns. It's usually grilled instead of baked and sold by the slice. Places that bake it are typically more fancy.
