Nasuverse Thread. For discussing how Type-Moon's pet universe can be adapted to the Tabletop realm.

A continuation of >>54189244 with a few extra questions.

What are some swanky ideas for Mage families and their craft?

Fate/Zero showed that battles between Masters during a HGW can be interesting in their own right, and this kind of stuff would be vital for a campaign.

Also, what do you think the state of the Nasuverse would be in 2104?

>Fate/Zero showed that battles between Masters during a HGW can be interesting in their own right, and this kind of stuff would be vital for a campaign.
Fate/Apocrypha is a seven-on-seven team deathmatch. Wiki says that most of Team Red will abdicate the war and give their Servants to Shirou, but there's still all the Masters on the other side to get involved in the fighting.

>Also, what do you think the state of the Nasuverse would be in 2104?
IIRC, didn't Zelretch say that we're a hundred years too early to fight ORT in Fate/Strange Fake? I'm gonna go with "probably fighting ORT".

A Lagann is uncovered somewhere in the 41st millennium.

Who or what would make the most likely pilot? What manner of other vehicles and ships would it merge upon itself? How would the destiny of the galaxy be changed by this?

Hard mode: Orks aren't involved.

Bonus question: Same but in 31st millennium, during the Great Crusade.

Someone with a mission. Someone with enough determination to to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, no matter how crazy others may think it. ITT Obscure chapters you like
>Star Phantoms
The Star Phantoms display a peculiarly idiosyncratic Chapter Cult. The Chapter's rites and traditions focus on death and martyrdom, the fallen being revered over and above the living. Symbols of death and mourning are used as Chapter iconography, the Chapter symbol itself featuring a sand-timer surmounted by two death's heads. This trait extends to a generalised disregard for the living that has often manifested in excessive collateral damage amongst populations the Chapter has been tasked with purging of insurrectionist elements, and even amongst allied units. In battle, the Star Phantoms utilise overwhelming firepower in order to crush their enemy utterly. Unlike many other Chapters, they hold no particular method of war as inherently favourable or honourable. They make extensive use of Drop Pod assaults, supported by a greater than usual reliance of drop pod delivered ordnance such as the Deathstorm, and favoured personal weapons are always those able to deliver the most impressive and destructive firepower.

In nature, Battle-Brothers of the Star Phantoms are often solemn and invariably shun contact with those outside of their Chapter. Their Chapter Cult teaches that life is transient and only the manner of a warrior's death holds any meaning. While they may be somewhat cold, the Star Phantoms truly hold no compulsions about dying, so long as they know they will be grieved by their comrades according to their beliefs.

The Night Shift is a setting and resources for running a horror-game. It is the brainchild of a collaboration of some anons on /tg/. Players are employees working the night shift at a gas station on the lonely side of nowhere. >Additional Information
If some of you have seen me around in the recent past, you might have seen that I've been working on a Pokemon system in my free time. It's meant to be a possible solution to complaints about other systems by introducing a hopefully quicker, narrative system that still keeps the main strategies behind Pokemon. Before, my ideas were pretty silly and I was rightfully called out on them like trying to reduce Pokemon stats to just Strength and Agility. But now I believe I have managed to keep statlines while also managing to make Battles quick and easy to keep track of (each Battle should be a max of 30 minutes, and that's with full parties once the players get used to the rules). The big part of these rules is taking inspiration from games using dice pools and Infinity's unique combat system to make encounters dynamic and engaging rather than "we go and then they go". There is still much to add, but I would like to know if I'm on the right track.

There are still many aspects and details missing like contests/performances, item encumbrances, certain items, etc., but I want to try running a beta session for this. It would be a one-shot, and I would need at least 3 players to run pre-made characters. It would simply be used to make sure Battles are indeed quick, rules are not too confusing and that professions are somewhat balanced, and we won't worry too much about specific details like encumbrance.

I'm including the current rules for the game in this post, along with the current Pokedex/Moves/Abilities in the next post. If it looks like garbage, feel free to tell me why.

Here is the Pokedex that I have started recently. The beta session will likely just include a certain amount of Pokemon like the typical three starters, Pidgey, Rattata and Zubat and such. I will probably not worry too much about additional Move effects and Abilities but use this session to gauge how powerful Pokemon can be to correctly adjust/add effects.

Have any of you guys played it as a miniature wargame? I'm not big into RPGs but I heard Mekton Zeta can be played as a wargame. Is it easy to convert? I couldn't find much info on the subject. I'm aware that Mekton had an earlier incarnation that was actually a wargame, but I couldn't find a copy of it so I went with Zeta and I also ordered a couple 1/400 scale Gundam models to use.

I mean, sure? You'd be better off homebrewing your own system unless you want to deal with some horrific amount of cheese.

Also, assuming that you got figures that are 1.8" tall, then one hex constitutes 3.6" (which I'd just round to 10cm for ease of measurement). The MA rules are kind of odd regarding actual movement, insofar as you have a certain number of points you spend to move, and turning 180 degrees takes just as much effort and time as walking 50 meters, which doesn't really make sense if you're trying to make a system that emulates Mobile Suit combat.
>>
>>54253086
My plan was to use MZ as a base and then streamline it for wargaming purposes using cards for premade Mobile Suits. I'd heard MZ handles combat fairly simply and had heard good things about it as a wargaming system but I hadn't found any details as to how to do it. I guess I'll have to figure it out once it arrives.
And yes, the minis I got are about 2". I was thinking of maybe upping it to 1/300 (6mm) scale since it's more popular and it'd be easier to find terrain and stuff for it.

Okay, so a cheaper option you could take is to order a dickload of shitgrade chinese knock-offs that you get out of those gumball machines. You'll get Gundams, Zakus, Goufs, Gyans, Gelgoogs, and Doms. Like 150 of them for $8.50 from Rhode Island Novelty (It's called "Robot Assortment").

They're like two-ish inches tall and are roughly in scale with Battletech miniatures, so you could just use Battletech papercraft terrain.

I did this for my campaigns and it worked out pretty well. We had pretty decently sized cities and when I had to introduce kaijuu I was able to use some dollar store dinosaurs and old Trendmasters Godzilla toys.

You'd have to order bases, but you could also use small metal washers instead. It's cheaper, and a bit jankier, but not terrible.
