A question to hopefully get the thread going: have you guys ever visited Malfeas in your games? How did you or your ST present the weirdness of that place?

There was one time a silent choir drahhed a screaming demon through the streets, skinned the demon alive, and the demons in hell thought we were odd for staring at it.
Bumping with the newest version of Broken Worlds; I'm sure someone who looks at OP's pic will want it.

How angry are you still thatmotherfucking greedy shitfuckingDisney decanonized Kyle Katarn?
>>54278151
False. The Empire criminalized slavery in all but Hutt Space, a measure not even the Republic took. Its closest own implementation of slavery was forced imprisonment of Wookiees, as they violently opposed the Empire's formation. However, not all were sent to camps and the majority lived normally albeit restricted from traveling off Kashyyyk. Slavery still existed under the Empire primarily via Hutt Space, just as it always had during and before the Republic, though it was far less widespread under the Empire and there were not "camps everywhere".
Neutral here, just correcting you on fluff inaccuracy.
In terms of EUcanon, of course.
>>54278179
>ugh why don't people opposed to my viewpoint agree with my viewpoint?
>>54278475
The Wookiees were hardly the Empire's only slaves in Legends (remember, Ackbar himself was a slave under Tarkin), and definitely weren't in canon either. And these were legitimately slaves under the Empire, not slaves that the Hutts used.
This idea that they somehow eliminated slavery in Imperial territories is straight up unsupported in either continuity.
>>54278456
>sometimes I like to think that the "tarkin did nothing wrong/was actually a good guy" posters are merely confused by peter cushing being such a sweetheart IRL
I'm just sad that TCW never gave us the "Tarkin and Dooku: Mortal Enemies" plot that they could and should have

First up, is anyone currently looking for some players for a game? If so, quote this post and use it as an anchor.
Obviously this only matters if you are playing a game online, but i'm sure some of you are.
>>54253020
And no, i'm not looking for a game myself. I'm just doing my part to help others that are.
>>54252958
I noticed that darkstalkers talents have a lot of synergy with Dark hunter A.
Like their wall walk and shadow breach. It lets you use shadow breach and disengage without wasting your attack action, and wall walk is a constant power.
Whether you'd want to do that or not is on you, but i still found it interesting. Has anyone else noticed Race/Style synergies like that?
Spooky scary edition
>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or people's homebrew wargames. /hwg/ doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to very specific games, so this thread isn't tied to a game, or a genre, lets talk about fun wargames.
Any scale, any genre, any company, any minis. Skirmishers welcome. Rules designers welcome.

Grimdark Future, Age of Fantasy, Mighty Armies, Dragon Rampant, Of Gods and Mortals, Frostgrave, Hordes of the Things, Songs of Blades and Heroes, Freebooter's Fate, Dark Age, LotR and anything that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread (gorkamundheim).

So the more I look at the rule the more I am convinced that any vehicle that used to have single blast shots (whether large or small) are now pretty much useless, the exceptions being those with multiple blasts or rerolls to d6 die. Thoughts fellow anons
All blast weapons are better now then they were when they were templates, statistically.
The problem is that despite being better they aren't better ENOUGH to not still be shit.
Random shots on top of random hits and then random wounds broke them. They should have been random shots (with the shots threshold doubled from what it is now, small blasts = d6, large blasts =2d6) that automatically hits all units except those with the Hard to Hit special rule.
>>54332250
No they aren't. They're statistically a lot better than they were against single models, they a lot worse than they use to be against basic infantry.
>>54332250
>battle cannon
>1.75 hits on average
>better
I'm not against no blasts markers, played plenty of games where barrages and big guns worked without any blast markers, but as it is, the system isn't very great. You just got a weapon with random number of shots. It's no different from any other weapon.
is magic predominantly feminine or masculine?
why is it usually feminine in low fantasy and masculine in high fantasy?
>>54331710
Because Magic is cheating. And that's what women are best at.

>>54330513
ITT: I didn't read "The Beast Arises." series.
>>54330513
Well yeah. Their stuff wears out pretty quick, so they're not going to have any ancient artifacts from before they encountered humanity. And once they did, it's so much easier to loot and modify human stuff that of course that's where the majority of their tech comes from. This isn't a difficult concept, anon, I think you're just trying to start an argument.
I need some interesting ideas for planets for players to visit in a space opera. Almost every colonized planet is human. I have about ten right now, but I need more, with cool weather effects, weird cultures, and strange governments. Any kind of weird 'alternate' technology ideas would be great appreciated. In exchange, I'll post some space art.

Shadowrun
>owlbear
>hybrid of an owl and a bear
>bugbear
>not a hybrid of a bug and a bear
aaaaand dropped.
D&D isn't garbage.
But the playerbase is largely garbage. It really only works for me as a game you play with best friends.
The number one problem is that now people treat tabletop games like video games. They want to metagame shit so hard that they will get mad when a monster does something expected. For example:
>hits goblin for 30 damage
>gobbo doesn't die
>"wtf that's bullshit goblins have x HP"
>well this guy doesn't
>players are booty bothered that their metagaming doesn't work
This wasn't a problem in the beginning of 3rd edition and earlier, people understood that the DM is there to facilitate an enjoyable experience which means he might do some unexpected things. Nowadays people just see the DM as a glorified computer to run their video game. I find this is less of a problem if you play more obscure games with people who don't have a lot of rpg baggage.
