Hello /tg/ it's time for the good word of the Hero System to grace this board again. The Hero System is a toolkit RPG descended from such games as Champions, Fantasy Hero, Justice, Inc, or Danger International. These once disparate games were consolidated to form a single universal RPG system with which one can build any character. Hero System is the original "stat me" RPG with a robust character creation system that boasts the proud, longstanding, original power creation system in the history of role playing games.

If you are using buried alive you should consider playing the necrotic ooze/triskelion/phyrexian devourer combo. You could probably split up your reanimation targets too, 4x griselbrand is obviously good but 3 titans is probably too much and mikaeus is pretty bad. Some good ones are elesh norn, Iona, and tidespout tyrant. Also I think you should try to fit some thoughtseizes in there

I was there at the conception of the Huge Marines and the Rad Marines. Neither of them ever got a wiki page... which was sad, as I especially liked the Rad Marines reason for being.

I got into 40k in late 7th Edition with Necrons, but have wanted Orks or Imperial Guard since I firsted started learning about Warhammer. With 8th Edition making these factions much more competitive, now I'm looking at getting one or the other. Also in the running is AdMech, like the models and fluff too. Can you guys post well rounded lists for each faction for me? IG and Orks kind of scare me with the high model count, I am a slow painter and I don't want to field an unpainted army. Any advice on painting Orks and Guard would be appreciated too.

What kind of game is it? Modern fantasy, realistic, something else? You need some direction to figure out your focus.

They're places to meet, to sleep, to grab a bite or whatever. Sure there's all those tables and slots but those are background elements. Spending your time throwing money away is boring; focus on what the characters are doing and how they're using the casino as a cover or whatever. If that makes sense.

I mean, if you want the players to be forced into a cutscene, just say so OP. If that's the case, DM fiat it. If you want an actual challenge for them to escape, prevent them from using magic and make sure things operate like an actual prison. Don't pull cliches like two people on duty at any given time and narcoleptic guards.

I took a look on these lotr rules, but it is largely based on D&D 5e. Thus it doesn't (or I have very bad eyes, since I can't find it) explain the core rule, like how fighting work and stuff. I never played 5e and don't want to buy the book just for that. Is there a quick, reliable ruleset around here ?

If you want to run a LotR game and don't want to buy the D&D books, then just play The One Ring instead. Made by the same people as that module, but uses rules tailored for the Middle-Earth feeling rather than the abomination that d20 is.
