See Africa? It's an industrial powerhouse who's native population was slain until they opted in, now produces a sickeningly large amount of the world's food and ammunition. On the outside it looks modern and vogue, beautiful in machine like elegance, but underneath there is a rebellion brewing backed by the dead spirits of those slain and those indentured. There are reports of the dead manning machines, keeping them running and producing for a damned army that might not exist.
Who knows. The bowels of the mega cities hold wonders.
I call Afrika: The Damned Continent.
Lizardfolk rule most of South America.
Elder things on South Pole, migou at North Pole.
The Himalayan mountains are ruled by dragons.

You have to actually add stuff to the map or else it doesn't count
Have you ever rejected a character submission for one of your campaign?
>>54458626
yes
Not really. If they were half as bad as some of the things I hear here I would, but I can't think of any examples that ever required more than a "yes, but detail X doesn't really fit"
>>54458626
One guy kept pushing and pushing to his edgelord and I eventually told him to piss off when he wanted a demon symbol on his face, to be overly freaky, and to be unable to percieve those weaker than him as more than a cloud.
Then he told me that I should "also" ban one of the other players from using a Joystealer class. I kicked him out, blocked him on Skype, and never bothered with him again after that.
Not sure what to have as the party's endgoal. Using AFMBE as the base game. Suggestions?
Find the Wish Granter, what else?
>>54458336
Depends on the player's level of setting knowledge mostly. Are they rookies IRL? Then the Wish Granter probably would have greatest pull on them. After all, who doesn't like their most sacred wishes fulfilled?
Other lore places like the Oasis for example, are also a good motivator.
But the classics should be the main focus. An antagonist, and something at stake.
Perhaps the Monolyth has a new converted preacher, threathening expansion? or a new charismatic bandit leader is stealing men left and right from Borov or Sultan?
Are the Millitary after someone from th party, that has deserted from the cordon? And the only way to hide is deeper into the Zone each week.
Make sure that you interweave the party's story in the setting, so you get ample hooks.
I was considering making them some of the first stalkers to arrive in the Zone. Slightly before the first game.
So how many of the newcrons are against chaos, and will they end up joining the budding Imperium/Eldar alliance for the best possible chance?
Well, there's the Necrons who teamed up with the Blood Angels to fight Tyrannids...

I thought we agreed never to talk about that.
How often do you theory craft?
>>54458001
Decently often, mostly for 3.PF. Also hashing out stunts for FATE
>>54458001
Forgive me but, what is Theorycrafting?
>>54460509
game theory but korean. Literally.
Yuan-ti thread. How have you used them in campaigns?
>>54457567
Why would a reptilian have Human like breasts?
>>54457577
Venom sacs. Resemblance to human breasts is merely coincidental.
>>54457577
They're descended from human cultists who worshipped snakes. The breasts (and 6-packs in the males) are a vestige from that time.
And they come in handy with seducing adventurers who think with their dicks.
I have a dilemma /tg/.
Some background...
>My character breaks into a safe and finds a necklace.
>It is confirmed to have belonged to an extremely important person who died long ago.
>There is also a map, where other necklaces are hidden, the ones belonging to this important person's friends.
>My character is well known for taking everything that isn't bolted down and either hanging it as a decoration or selling it if it isn't useful.
>At this point he has done crazy shit simply to complete this set of old jewelry, finding all but two of them, basically assuming they'll fetch more as a set.
Here's where things get interesting. I know from OOC knowledge that this necklace and the others are the hyper importance mcguffins of fate. However, there has been absolutely zero indication of this in character. None. We have even spoken to the ghosts of the important people who owned these, and they haven't mentioned them, despite knowing we have them. My character, the one who mainly talks to the ghosts, is assuming they don't care, because it's just some jewelry and they're somewhat used to his sticky fingers.
The last two necklaces are hidden in extremely dangerous areas, and my character isn't stupid, so he kind of put this shit on the back burner. I mean, it's just some fucking jewelry. We've been getting up to other shenanigans, and the DM has begun complaining between sessions about how we're torturing him by forcing him to come up with stuff for us to do when we refuse to advance the plot.
My character has had a bit of a power boost due to above mentioned shenanigans, so he's thinking about maybe trying for two more great heists to find the last necklaces. Of course, once he has them, he'll probably just sell them for some sweet cash. This will also completely fuck our DM over and probably ruin everything forever in game.
Should I just metagame and force the subject until the ghosts spill the beans, or should I stay in character and inadvertently ruin everything?
>>54457563
>and the DM has begun complaining between sessions about how we're torturing him by forcing him to come up with stuff for us to do when we refuse to advance the plot
Found the problem.

But... he hasn't even been dropping the significance of these necklaces in conversation with your characters.Captcha: select all images with jewelry
Always stay in character
Currently reading this, and I'm at the Alchemical items part, but it also mentions "quasi-magical items"...Now what's a quasi magical item? It says it's not a magical item in the strict sense of the word, so if it were in an anti-magic field, would it still function like alchemy and mundane items or?
It's a natural item with qualities that would otherwise be magical effects , but in this case are just inherent. They work fine in anti-magic.

Tell me about the various knightly orders in your setting
Playing a necromancer, should I organize my skeletons for ease of use? I'm currently thinking about sending them around in groups of four.
Also, should the groups all have the same equipment, or should there be a distribution within each group, or should like, one group be archers and the other melee chumps?
>>54457338
> should I organize my skeletons for ease of use?
Literally anything that can lessen the headache of summoning should be done

Just a thought I had; why is there no familial love between the primarchs?
While there's plenty of reference and arguements about fatherly love for the emperor (ironically among more than a few of the traitors) rather that those that were betrayed and even the ones twisting the knife never seem to come across as having ever looked at the other as a brother. Never took the overriding connection they had for the Emperor.
The classic example and the most referenced being Ferrus and Fulgrim.
We are told far more about the encounters between these two from their own perspective than any other, and it always stuck me as hollow when it came to both the motive of ones betrayal and the others 180 from affection to bone deep hatred.
There's a lot of talk about autism and insanity thrown out about the primarchs. Some of that can be explained by the writers describing them, but with how they've covered the Emperor's perspective in the HH lore I'm wondering how he could be aware and indifferent about their declared affection because he was 'beyond such trappings,' or because he knew they were incapable of true emotional connection?
>>54456722
Because the primarch who was supposed to represent brotherly companionship got rage-nails stuck into his head that turned him into a ravening berserker.
Tl;Dr
Is the grimdarkest aspect of 40K that the best humanity can become requires completely disregarding social and emotional capacity?
Did Big E engineer or Blunder this lack of what ut was to be Human ?

Which is better /tg/?
A game where spellcasters have access to shitload of spells that generally have their own unique purpose or a game in which spell casting gives you access to a handful of magical powers that cover an umbrella of unique magical effects?
Assume the former is similar to 5e's magic system and the latter is similar to Mage: the Awakening's magic system.
Spell effects should be broad enough to require arbitration.
Spell options should be narrow enough to ask for clever thought.
>>54456193
>Assume the former is similar to 5e's magic system and the latter is similar to Mage: the Awakening's magic system.
HOLY SHIT YOU ACTUALLY GAVE CONTEXT! WELL DONE!
My personal preference is the latter, in fact D&D magic does everything I don't like about magic.
I can't answer your actual question "which is better", since I don't believe either one is *objectively* better.
So...Why did the TSons change their heraldry and colours after the heresy?
I mean, I get that the upgraded armor has to do with the rubric and tying them to their suits, but why did they change to blue and gold, with an Ouroboros instead of a sun?
>>54456126
Blue because Tzeentch, ouroboros for ???.
>>54456126
Well their loyalist chapter kept the colors so I'm going with they went with blue to match their gods theme.
>>54456180
>>54456180
They didn't, Ahriman's sect who were exiles until recently changed their colors to separate themselves from Magnus. The studio just chooses to follow them instead of true sons of the Crimson King. His actual army is the red and gold.
