Sex?Actually in my personal experience I've found that the release of endorphins of sex works very briefly, but post-coital it's worse because your pulse and blood pressure are up. Fucking migraines, man. Works wonders for a tension headache though.

Hey /tg/ I've roped in some new friends into playing Dungeons and Dragons this weekend but problem is they've never played and I've never DM'd for new players before. I'm thinking of taking them through Curse of Strahd and I'm wondering if anyone here has any tips for guiding new players through D&D in general.
I was thinking of giving them pre-gen characters too; since I showed them the PHB races/classes and they were all very confused and had no idea what they wanted.

My advice for new players is to avoid CoS as alhough it is atomospheric it is an unforgiving setting. Every main encounter should be a potential party wipe and can be rather harsh on new players. Although the naievity of new players would make them very expoitable which is good news for Strahd until he gets bored

I've never seen a core rulebook for warhammer, its all been different codexes for armies. Anyways I'm not too into the setting, i'd rather play a war game based on an actual war.

Any suggestions as to how to proceed, here? I mean, the humans in this setting aren't exactly the best equipped to sack a city here. More likely, we'll either find some way to sneak into one of the elvish cities and loot it like a wandering carnival of thieves, harass the main roads and tradesmen until we get some clue from Father Sky-God, or engineer some kind of Great Plague from our swine-herds to wreck the city-dwellers' days while we sit back with our strong immune systems and wait for the Black Death to empty the halls of Avignon.
Also, other campaigns where Humans don't own most of the fantasy map, and nomad/shaman pics.

I am leading a 6 man squad, not including myself, of an extremely zealous religious order in a human nation. The order is mostly magic based and I am chosen to lead this squad of regular fighters for political reasons. Other players are in the same nation (or elves in the woods), but in a regular army, not a religious one.
Anyways, what should I make my 6 squad members? It can be any mix of magic and regular classes.
3 paladins, 1 cleric, 1 ranger, and 1 wizard are what I had initially though but it seems dumb.

I've been planning to use my newly found free time to host a d20 game over discord.
Now I admit, the last time I ran a game online was about 4 years ago, openRPG was still something that existed and dnd 4 was not considered a general figment of some mad deluded nightmare.
So I do the normal thing and post a "I plan to run a game at such and such time, here's the rules and a general game idea" in a few usual places.
And sure, the subject matter is playing a bunch of kids in Urban Arcana setting that stumbled across the supernatural and got superpowers of perfectly normal d20 modern player characters.
Sort of a Gravity Falls meets BTVS. Not everyone cup of tea, sure but I was still surprised. Once I rule out the pedos who applied?
The general answer seems to be "I like the idea but d20 modern is too complicated, try FATE or something"
What?
Is this... Normal?
For modern gaming I mean.

Yeah, that's the self-righteousness of the Technocracy. In the end the Technocracy of owod was more often used as the stick against players from doing completely silly things like mind controlling ambassadors in the United Nations. That's if you use them at the high end of their power, which in itself is also silly.
The Techies work much better in its decline and not the over arching Big Brother it can be played as. It suffered from the Global conspiracy bloat that alot of the owod splat factions had. In the end, the Techies are just as much mages as the PCs, and just as human as the PCs. They are better used as a mirror to the players to show how they are fucking up.

Can someone help me build a Harlequins list? I'd like to build off of what I have. A guy at my FLGS gave me the Eldar half of the Death Masque box set adding a bunch onto my tiny Eldar collection. Here's what I've got now:
