Are there child soldiers in the imperial guard?
>>54630471
Definitely. I wouldn't be surprised if the average age in the Imperial guard is like 14.
>>54630471
Yes.
>>54630471
Yes, they are called White-Shields and they can be from a tithe of conscripted youth from a planet or orphans that have been taken in by the regiment.
>Hydras should always be among the most dangerous monsters in a fantasy setting.
Do you agree?
depends on what other enemies exist in the setting
>>54627271
>Do you agree?
no, because hydras may not appear in every fantasy setting, when they do appear they should be scary I'll grant you that. But if we're talking "most dangerous thing in a fantasy setting" That honor should go to Titans. They are meant to be so powerful that literal Gods! can't beat them! At least not on their own.

Are there any drugs in your campaign /tg/?
Flareleaves.
They are dried and ground up to make firedust.
Firedust used on it's own adds 1d6 fire damage to attacks for 3 turns then the player is unable to move for an hour.
If purified and put into a potion, such as a magma potion it'll boost the damage to 3d6 for 4 turns but then you're unable to move for half a day.
Only as something bad. Nothing good comes from drugs. In game they only give stats penalties and social drawbacks. Even villains have pity of those that use drugs.
>>54619586
Kinda. You can jam a little chip in the socket stuck in the back of your head at birth and it'll give you hallucinations or whatever was put on there.

What's the simplest possible method you could think of to write up and give abilities to each class?
Like Fighters get +1 to hit every level? And then what would the other classes get?
Anyone else find OSR stuff easier to introduce to new players than something like 5e. What aspects make it noob friendly?
>>54615595
5e classes get a bunch of active abilities every level, while in OSR you just get some +1 to attack and look at a table

Tips on using Grymkin? Just got into the army (Menoth and Cyriss player) and I already have a problem retaining things I hear without a lot of repetition so I'm just having a hard time grasping all of their rules and how they work together.
Also, if somebody wants to post some good quality battle reports for them where the commentators don't just start BSing about unrelated stuff halfway through the match leaving the viewer with no idea what's going on (looking at you, PrivateerPressPrime), that'd be neat.
Grymkin are a lot more dependent on thier warcaster than some other factions. The infantry are decent but thier lack of options has them need thier warlock to be able to level the playing field with thier arcana. After that it depends on which caster you are using, since there are only two out Heretic and Child, it comes down to do you want to play a beast heavy army or an infantry heavy army.
>>54611359
I'd say they look to be pretty tough. They have some options that are just "Faction Icons" in other factions.
Infinitely spawning infantry (So really they can generate their own corpses if need be), a Arm Aura. Enrage, Resource re-allocation tools. Plus their beasts are already pretty self-sufficient on their own.
>>54611966
If you got the all in one army box then you will probably be playing infantry heavy at 50pts till the rest of thier releases come out. The heretic is does well with this and is a legit caster especially with arcana. I can't wait till murder crows get released and I can arc Fury onto an ambush unit. Still if you are looking for battle reports the PP has a decent one on YouTube with The child vs Axis that was pretty well done.

Why doesclassicFallout work so well as a post apocalyptic setting? What did it do that made it so memorable and last this long?
>>54599141
The classic fallout vibe it's weird.
>>54599141
It's because it's post post apocalyptic, people got off their ass and started rebuilding society.
>>54599141
It's not as over the top as the future installments. Barring New Vegas, Fallout has come to be known as "the 50's retro post apoc" game. Bethesda has really milked that vibe and, at least in my opinion, have degraded some of the general feelings of desolation, despair, and loneliness that are littered throughout the original games.

Poor choice of OP image aside, here's a question to get the thread rolling: Should Bethesda expand the lore around Black Marsh? If so, how should they go about doing it?
>If one could swim through mud and earth, there were many Lilmoths to discover beneath one’s webbed feet.
>An image arose behind his eyes; the great stepped pyramid of Ixtaxh-thtithil-meht. Only the topmost chamber still jutted above the silt, but the An-Xileel had excavated it, room by room, pumping it out and laying magicks to keep the water from returning. As if they wanted to go back, not forward. As if something were pulling them back to that ancient Lilmoth.
>He stopped, realizing he was still walking without knowing exactly where he was going, but then he knew. The undertow of his thoughts had brought him here.
>To the tree. Or part of it. The city tree was said to be three hundred years old, and its roots and tendrils pushed and wound through most of lower Lilmoth, and here was a root the size of his thigh, twisting its way out of a stone wall. Everything else around him had become waterish, blurred, but as he laid his webbed hand on the rough surface, the colors sharpened and focused.
>He stood there, no longer seeing the crumbling, rotted Imperial warehouses, but instead a city of monstrous stone ziggurats and statues pushing up to the sky, a place of glory and madness. He felt it tremor around him, smelled anise and burning cinnamon, and heard chanting in antique tongues.
We made it to the bump limit edition
>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks, or people's homebrew wargames. /hwg/ doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to very specific games, so this thread isn't tied to a game, or a genre, lets talk about fun wargames.
Any scale, any genre, any company, any minis. Skirmishers welcome. Rules designers welcome.
>Examples of games that qualify

Grimdark Future, Age of Fantasy, Mighty Armies, Dragon Rampant, Of Gods and Mortals, Frostgrave, Hordes of the Things, Songs of Blades and Heroes, Freebooter's Fate, Dark Age, LotR and anything that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread (gorkamundheim).

>inb4 thin your paints

>>54555695
Its not that hard, you just need a steady hand.
Small models don't require the same level of detailing as larger models, since you aren't going to be looking at them on their own anyway.
Now, pic related is another matter entirely
When I was a kid, I remember wanting to collect all the tripulants of the Weatherlight.
I got some, but then some people at the magic store was pointing out some legendaries I didnt saw related.
Which ones should count?
There is Gerrard, blond girl, minotaur... maybe Orim but im not sure... and mister vampire...
Am I missing something else?
https://mtg.gamepedia.com/Skyship_Weatherlight
>>54652118
>The 300-foot ship carried a crew of approximately 40
Wow... I was far from the numbers... dont know if a bunch of thouse are just no names... but still....
I just knew from the weather light and the guys from seeing the artwork and reading flavor text....
>>54652019
The crew of the Weatherlight that I know of included the following characters (that have cards, at least one did not, Takara):
Gerrard
Hanna
Sisay
Tahngarth
Mirri (mono-gree Mirri)
Crovax
Squee
Ertai (mono-blue Ertai)
Karn
Starke
Orim
I believe this is the core of the crew and everyone you basically care about. There are a few others who were on-board at some point but not really true crew members, like Eldamri and Rofellos, so they probably don't really count for you.
Good luck collecting them all, they're mostly pretty cheap though, so you shouldn't have any true issues outside of Karn, Sisay, and Squee. Make sure you get only original printings!
Also, if you want to go really deep, you want to collect the entire Legacy as well, but that's not entirely required.
How would run a game where the players are monster hunters a la Bloodborneand make it fun?
Emulate the setting and atmosphere, not the mechanics.
i don't know only came because i saw bloodborne
>>54650777
Pls friend, elaborate.
Would you consider the inclusion of trick weapons to be a bad idea? Threaded cane for example; A quarterstaff that with a bonus action becomes a whip. What monsters would you employ?
The percentage of each pillar? In my opinion, exploration is inevitable and not a true pillar so I'd love to run a 50% combat and 50% RP game.
Explain to me why my idea for a weapon is stupid, because I suspect it is.
Basically a katana with a straight blade that's about 5 to 5 1/2 feet long
>>54649106
>5 to 5 1/2 feet long slashing weapon
>>54649106
It's okay, anon. You'll just cut with it a few times until you have a normal 3 foot long katana.
>>54649106
>5 to 5 1/2 feet long
Is your character's arms long enough to even pull a 5 and 1/2 foot long katana out of it's sheath?
