Do you hope your Starfinder party be crewing their own small vessel or use a large military/commercial ship as a base of operations?

Posting it again another thing I remembered and context:
So my party and I recently fought a villain and a bunch of weird stuff happened that I want to call bullshit on. Can you guys tell me if this is bullshit:
>enemy has two initiatives, GM said it was "to make a singular enemy more threatening and to give him more action economy"
>the bad guy every time he attacks us with this giant mantis limb that he has instead of an arm causes a fort save or debuffs to hit and movement speed (GM said it numbed you when it touched you)
>use a hand crossbow with like 6 shots (GM said it was a multishot crossbow) to shoot incoming attacks out of the air (I think this may have been PoW)
>went through a window to escape from us and didn't provoke AoOs when running off (he didn't attack that round though)
>when we went through after him he attacked the first guy who went through with a shard of glass (my character) and gouged my character's eye out (GM said he had readied action after he went through)
>GM said I was blind for one round and permanently in my left eye, plus a bunch of bleed damage
>the next guy who game through the villain apparently had a cut on his hand and flung blood into my party member's eyes to blind him as well (it was a tough attack)
>had a climb speed
>had a swim speed & could breathe under water (he escaped from us by diving into the river and swimming straight down)
>several times during the chase he would just tackle his way through doors/windows and keep going without having to stop moving
>one point activated a spring loaded thing and launched this seed that grew super quickly tried to wrap around another of my party member's, it was a touch attack and a reflex save
>was able to just break things and use anything as an improvised weapon, but was able to give them weapon properties (at the least he was able to give one acid)
>resistant to scrying (don't know why)

Your GMs being kind of a dick here since he is attacking your WBL since your going to need to trek to a metropolis and fork over 910 gold to have Regenerate cast on you to have your eye regrown

I guess gay marriage gets repealed?
I take it he would not want to kill all humans, since he needs to resupply his stock occasionally. Really depends on why the necromancer wanted to win in the first place.
He decrees that free universal health care is available to all citizens so that once they die, their bodies will be more useful to him.
To maximize the amount of robust bodies, not only are people encouraged to have more children, maybe there is also forced euthanization at age 30 or 40.

free zombie fuckpuppets for everybody?
>Want to make the primary creator deity of my setting female
>Want to make the 'satan' character a male who was supposed to be wed to her in cosmic marriage, but he was evil and so she rejected him and gave birth the world alone, free from the touch of the dark god
>Dark God is enraged and wants to make all living things suffer and fall under his iron rule because he was denied the first women
>Dark God fathers all monsters by raping/breeding with animals and mortals and their twisted children grow into the various evil beings in the setting
Does this make me sound like an SJW?

why worry about it? If you think it'll work go for it

Why are normies so bad at tabletop?
Some friends of mine wanted me to run a game, and it was ridiculously bad.
The first session, their character ideas are:
>Duelist gifted blades by the god of war
>Dwarf that hates subtlety in a campaign about thieves
>Plantfolk that owns a potion store (the player nearly cried when I told her she couldn't have it)
>a cat-lady prostitute.
Now, it may have been salvageable with a good group dynamic, but these guys barely interacted with each other, and needed to be leaded around by the nose. I remember telling them multiple times 'when you arrive at the tavern, obtain a sheaf of documents from the man in the fancy green cloak' and when they arrived, they looked at each other and asked 'what are we here for again?' After a fight at the table lead to the dwarf player getting choked in real life, I called it quits, and cancelled the campaign.
Seriously, why are normies so bad at tabletop?
>>54724309
Because they haven't done it before dumbass.
>>54724309
>Plantfolk that owns a potion store (the player nearly cried when I told her she couldn't have it
>Not telling her she has to make enough money to Open one
You fucking git. Never mind why they're bad at tabletop, they're normies, what's your fucking excuse?
>>54724309
everyone is bad at tabletop op
just accept it and dream of playing, never really play
what system was this btw
>never played a table top rpg
>really want to, spend lots of time reading about them, imagining characters, worlds and stories
>no idea how to find people to play with
>all the people at my local game store are gatekeeper as fuck

How about we have another thread where we post character art and make short stories about the character we see?
>Look at the image above yours
>Post 3 to 5 lines of greentext detailing an interesting character based on that image
>But if you've got more than 3 or 5 lines to tell, then go ahead
>You can contribute by posting your own image, even as a form of a bump
Proceed!
Here spme six more images for extra inspiration.
By Dice-less, I mean that the game has no randomization elements whatsoever.
I heard that this is a thing but I don't know any.
Has anyone of you played one of these dice-less RPGs and enjoyed it ?
>>54722706
>I mean that the game has no randomization elements whatsoever.
sounds lame as shit
Doesn't Shadows(chronicles?) of Amber not have dice?
>>54722706
Yeah I've not played it myself but talked to a few folks who really dig them.
Amber Diceless is the granddaddy of them all. It's supposed to be pretty good but you really have to know the books to get the full experience.
Lords of Gossamer and Shadow is a sort of clone that strips out all the novel-specific stuff so your group doesn't have to all know Amber. It also fixes and improves a few things, I hear.
Lords of Olympus is another one, inspired by Amber Diceless, but in that one you all play Greek gods.
>>54722744
Consider that there's no randomization involved in playing chess, but that doesn't mean there's no strategy or excitement. On the contrary, to some folks it makes it more exciting, because you really can't luck your way to victory; instead it's more of a straight duel of minds.
For some settings and games, this is really appropriate.

>what card so you think should be unbanned and why?
>>54720145
I think Stoneforge Mystic could reasonably come off the list. Between hand disruption to discard whatever SFM tutors, tons of removal options to make sure SFM doesn't get to activate, and everyone packing some amount if artifact removal in the sideboard, I think it would be a powerful, but certainly answerable card.
>>54720485
>dies to removal
>>54720485
Could we say the same for the artifact lands? we could ban ravager.

Sundays, Monday's, and Tuesday's.
Welcome to Sunset.
You play Greys, humanoid robots who can change their class, race, and anything else on your character sheet trough magical batteries called cores. It's set in Neon, the last civilized city in the world. Outside it's walls is The Creep, a deadly and corrupted land filled with dungeons, ruins, and the mad survivors of lost civilizations.
A video game "Turn of the Century" fantasy game in the mold of Bioshock and Fallout. The game takes place in an MMO-style world where all the stats, classes, and races are physical, in-settings things you can swap out in game.

An office job. Anybody who says otherwise is delusional and probably a chaos worshipper. Nothing is ever less chaotic than a routine.

How come Magic the Gathering isn't all that popular with girls?
They seem to like Hearthstone a lot.
What gives?

Girls tend not to spend money on overpriced paper, they have other shit that interests them. Most of girls tend not to play it for long, the thing with MtG is that it is a gateway drug to boardgames/rpg, and boys tend to stick more becausse they fear they will get rejected by new friends they meet playing it, while that fear is less present in women. There you go anon.
