/tg/ I need some advice. I've been looking to play a PC who is functionally a blood mage. Mostly applies to D&D type stuff, but any fantasy universe or system will also do for these suggestions.
Where do I begin, to make my character a compelling one that's based around blood magic?
How do I avoid being "edgy" (Though I understand that every mongoloid that's discovered the meme will call anything 'dark' that."
What would be a good motivation that would end up with them being nuanced and not evil?

Blood magic meaning magic that uses blood as fuel instead of mana or whatnot. Magic that is fueled by life or can maybe twist a being's physiology. See Dragon Age and Diablo for examples.

Doesn't have to be well-known, well-understood, or well-made - what game do you like that you haven't gotten to play?
I want to fool around in the sci-fi mish-mash excess of Strike Legion, where a black hole can be created from a man-portable device and enough things are referenced (read: plagiarized) at once that it loops back around to 'new and interesting.' Housecat jedi-mages, theocratic xenomorph black ops, two tailor-made species who structured their societies around defying their intended function, and other weird things.

Hello /tg/ I just Finish playing Kotor 2 and I wanted to ask a lore-based question.
Why was the Jedi and the Jedi Council portrayed as wrong in the game? They followed the Jedi teaching to the Letter, They were correct in their assertion in Exiling the Jedi exile for what happened in Malachor. They were right about Revan falling to the Dark Side and they were most certainly correct about Kreia and her teachings. They handle the Mandalorians Wars the best they could. And did what they could in the Jedi Civil War. So why are they portrayed as wrong in the Game?

My fellow Elves, we have an important matter to discuss. The humans have built a large manufactory which is dumping large amounts of crap into the water up river from our city. This can be a devisive issue but a choice needs to be made. My players will be going to a celebratory dinner next session but unknown to them they will die later that night. They'll now have to navigate a surreal horror version of the castle during dinner to solve the mystery, defeat the butler who made a pact and caused this, and then return to their bodies before dawn.
My question is - how can I make this legit scary and weird? Interesting mechanics or enemies to fight? Creepy horror thread general?

DnD 3.5 Heroes of Horror.pdf has loads of scares you can adapt.
Otherwise, try to leave mnosters un-named. It's not media, it's a woman with worms coming out of her head, holes were eyes should be, etc. It's not a werewolf, it's a huge man with legs bent at obscene angles and bloody muzzle filled with rows of teeth, etc.
Leave as many things unexplained as possible, until players risk becoming disintetested.
Pass notes to players with spooky things only they sense, let them describe to one another.
