It depends. There was that huge crusade they launched when Araby conquered Estalia, pushed for by the church, but that was because Araby was seen as an existential religious threat due to their enforced monotheism. I think. Actually in not sure why the Empire got involved in that

How can I learn to roleplay as a character who is different from myself with personality traits that are not my own? Specifically as for choosing the exact words that come out of my character's mouth. I'm okay with actions, but exact words take me a very long time.
YES, I AM AWARE OF THE SINGLE WORD ANSWER "PRACTICE", but it's never *just* practice, it's necessarily in a real game. Any time I am playing the game, it requires other people who are taking the time to play it with me and can kick me out if I don't say anything in-character for five mniutes. There is no complete AI simulation of a tabletop RPG yet.

I have some of OP's problem.
I can role play fine in text format. But once you start putting me at a table or in a teamspeak with two thick German accents, a really thick Danish accent (who also happens to be playing a girl), and one other thick southern (US) accent (besides my own), my immersion is broken and I can't get into it.

Alright you silly fucks, it appears you're in desperate need of some guidance, because the board is not doing well.
What's wrong with the board you ask? Well, the main thing is that everyone is unhappy with the current state of things, usually because someone else is complaining about the current state of things that they're ok with.
In other words, there's too many complaints on here. About everything.

Why is this board dominated with "In your setting...?" threads? I understand the appeal to a degree of trying to mantle Tolkien and create an incredibly intricate and detailed fantasy world, but to me it seems like unnecessary work when you can use existing settings as a basis for your campaigns.
Simultaneously, rarely are GM tips, house ruling, and homebrewing discussed compared to worldbuilding. Does this not seem particularly backward to you? Instead of discussing how we can improve and expand the mechanics of the game, thus giving our players a more fun and interesting experience (our job as GM), we discuss how each race of elf engages in different sexually deviant acts.
I may be wrong, but I can't help but attribute this trend toward self-centered GM's who are far more interested in making their magical realm a reality than showing their friends a good time. This selfishness is of course simply a manifestation of autism. The autistic disorders exhibited by these individuals make them completely obsessed with their fantasy world where not!elves live in a matriarchal society where it is socially acceptable for a wife to get gangbanged by orcs while her husband (their self-insert) masturbates in the corner.
Fuck worldbuilding threads. Worldbuilding is autistic.

Huh. This is actually kinda a cool power. Depending on how powerful i am i could see myself always being perfectly comfortable regardless of the temperature by simply transmuting any air that touches me into either cool or warm air.
Going super villain would be easy when you can just transmute a hole in the wall of a safe and take every out easy peasy.
Meanwhile going hero would be pretty awesome also considering i can do stuff like transmuting rubble into air to get survivors free, or being able to survive underwater for as long as needed because.. well.. can't run out of air.
Also having incredible defences due to everything that could harm me just turning into stilled air when it connects.
The only downside to my powers is that i can't really use them offensively without taking large chunks out of people or just one shoting them.
guess it depends on my team if Mr. Breeze turns into a lovable rogue or a champion of Justice.
