Does anybody streamline their game? If so, how? What rules do you ignore / change?

I'm interested in Savage Worlds, but I tend to run with rules-lite games, and it seems just a bit too crunchy for my taste.

Looks like a completely trash phrase started by an isolated group. They kept using it solely to circle-jerk each other. That way they can feel like they are changing the world. When it broke out of their circle-jerk they just said it without the context it was originally used in. Dumbasses thought it sounded smart and then copied it with their assumption of what it meant.

Everything your party interacts with should be interesting. If it's not, why are you wasting time? If your party doesn't care about the context of what they are doing and just want to murderhobo, just throw more enemies at them and it doesn't matter what kind of enemies.

Tailor it to the urgency of their situation. If they're in a big fucking hurry, a sentence describing the scenery which " flies by as you gallop along the path to your destination!" If they're not in much of a hurry, spend a few sentences setting the general scene of the landscape and how it changes as they progress (eg. windswept stone slowly begins to give way to sparse woods as you make your way down from the pass". Maybe give them an interesting set piece to interact with as they go along which may or may not give them a side activity or a bit of information (which might become useful later). For example, a lake stop and rest at, or weathered statues of long-forgotten civilisations.

I want my dudes to have some nice, theme related, baroque armor. What would be some good suggestions for conversion bits that have proper Alpha legion/ Hydra/ Reptile motif?

Cue the entire tavern erupting into pandemonium as the party tries to block off the exits in a makeshift quarantine while the tavern patrons desperately try to escape... we spent three IC days in that Tavern before the guard came in with a local cleric, who confirmed it was in fact not the black death affecting our friend.

the lowest cure disease spell in 5e is "lesser restoration", a 2nd level spell, which instantly rules out most clerics, limiting the actual healing to maybe 1 a day per cleric
this wont save their own host, let alone the city


however, a paladin gets maybe 1 or 2 cure disease with lay on hands, 3 or 4 if he is good
this allows some relief to the city, but it doesnt keep the disease away, and a paladin will need to spend one use on himself to prevent him from dying, so this will help but not in the amount needed

No, they cannot.

They can however use magic to control Bacteria and make them temporarily large enough to see in order to fire massive swarms of them like how Naraku did in Inuyasha with all them squiggly, weird, Japanese Yokai. Giant Bacteria can't stay alive for very long; they're extremely fragile and quickly die from the experience, but that isn't the point: the attack is horrifying, giant Germs are fucking weird looking and scary, and each time you get bitten or scratched by one you get a horrible rotten, infected, necrotic/acid damaged wound.

So don't piss off the weirder, more immoral, Druids.
