When I was a kid I was able to imagine characters and the world they inhabit while reading, now I have trouble visualizing anything at all.

My friends are skilled artists and are getting a lot more out of RPGs compared to me, because I can't imagine the characters or action. Is there a way of fixing my brain so I can have an imagination and enjoy pen and paper games like my friends do?

What's the best RPG system for the most bland and generic fantasy setting you could ever think of?

I'm looking forward Open Adventure but I figured you might have some other interesting options.

I want something entirely fantasy focused so no generic system shilling please (Gurps and Savage Worlds fags I'm looking at you!).

Hey /tg/, I have an idea to run a naval campaign in a homebrew setting with 5e. Going with low-magic and black powder, I have a lot of stuff figured out in how most things will work out except ship-to-ship combat. I remembered a mini wargame called Pirates of the Spanish Main(pic related) from my childhood and thought it would be a good idea to appropriate the minis for doing a bastardized ship combat thing, but it turns out they're long since out of print. Anyone know of a good alternative for cheap and small Age of Sail ship minis? Also naval campaign advice/discussion in general would be cool.
