I like the post-apoc parts of Rifts, less so the 50-million-man nazi army part. I mean the population numbers in Rifts are beyond retarded.

Rifts' scale is absolutely nonsensical and inconsistent. It's just way too much shit crammed in a relatively small planet/country, especially considering the size and power levels of the forces in play. Most of earth should just be smouldering ruins by now

So I had a thought: the Imperium's stance on AI and Mutants are pretty clear, but supposing that some Magos went though the process of Uplifting a Terran (assuming some species have survived thanks to people taking them offworld during the DAoT) or otherwise human-familiar nonsentient animal like a Grox, Attilan Horse, or Fenrisian Wolf to human-equivalent sentience either via controlled genetic manipulation or cybernetic tinkering, what would the Imperium's ruling be on them?

There would of course, be long and heated debates on the matter first, but I think there are theological arguments for and against uplifted animals based on the Lectitio Divinatus and the Emperor's own recorded words. How would the various factions of the Ecclesiarchy view them? What about the AdMech? The Inquisiton?

Needs to be more specific first of all.

Are we doing Showa era where riders are full on cyborgs or mid to late Heisei era where it's just the belts giving strength?

What type of opponent are they going after? Secret organizations filled with mooks or a single group of individually powerful creatures in more of a Shadow of the Colossus setup?

We doing multi-riders or is this going to be solo rider supported by police/mech-suits?
>>
I was going to run one in Legends of the Wulin. Kamen Rider is very much a modern expansion on that classic style of high drama, high action martial arts storytelling. Sadly I never got it off the ground, but I would like to run it some day.

I was going for a global Rider organisation, with belts created from ancient historical weapons an artifacts being used to take down abominations and monsters echoing the beasts and demons of mythology.

There is something of a rivalry between myself, a Necromancer, and another Necromancer in the group. She has made constant chaotic stupid decisions that put the entire party in danger, and has gone so far as to begin releasing demons that have clear intent of murdering party members just for the sake of it.

I have decided to kill them, with the DM's blessing, of course.

A bit of backstory: My necromancer is Onion, a Kobold who has received extensive training in fleshcrafting and negative magic. She is autistic, overly prideful and meticulous, and has a superiority complex like nobody's business. That said, she is not an evil character, and is looking out for the party in her own warped way. The rival necromancer, Nil, is a Moon Elf cleric, who is "Neutral Evil" but is played more of the "Chaotic Retard" variety.

Onion and Nil have been at each other's throats since the game began. Due to recent events, we have both swore to end each other and squelch this rivalry once and for all.

This is where I come asking for help: I need to formulate a plan, not just to kill, but to prove a point. I need a way to take care of her that makes it a public display of power and dominance. It will not be an assassination, it will be an execution.

How would you take care of your rival in such a way that makes sure everybody else in the party knows you're not to be fucked with?

I have a few ideas, but I'd like to hear what other people can come up with. Many thanks.

Strhad Zombies.

Strahd Zombies are zombies like the Return of the Living Dead ones. They don't die ever, and dismemberment makes INDEPENDENT ZOMBIES out of the removed pieces.

Coupled with Destructive Retribution, a SINGLE ZOMBIE is now worth the grand total an explosion for a hand removed, and explosion for an arm, an explosion for the head, an explosion for a torso, and an explosion for each leg and foot.

This does NOT count towards Strahd zombies subject to grafts or based on creatures with multiple limbs.

Which brings us to pic Related as a zombie.
Congratulations, you can Negative Energy Hiroshima the material plane.

Okay, /tg/, we've all been over the 'Is it evil to kill the young of an always-CE race.' argument, but I'm curious how the alternative would be enacted.

Let's say your character was given a CE-race baby (orc, gnoll, whatever) and had to try their honest best to raise it to be, at the least, a neutral and productive member of society- Something that could hold a simple farm job and not murder, cannibalize, or steal, even if you're not there to stop them and there's nothing otherwise restricting them (so no chains, cages, magical collars or domination, etc.)

For the sake of the discussion, let's say the incentive to do so is something worthwhile to your character regardless of their alignment.

United Kingdom of Arulia tried giving orcs citizenship and starting integration programs. They are not cannibalistic savages now, but still commit most of violent crimes there while being a minority.
>>
You don't punish people for wrongs they have not committed yet.

So slaughtering them beforehand is morally objectionable unless you don't consider these beings as sentient beings capable of controlling their own thoughts and actions.

As for the actual OP question, it's obvious.

Turn those violent urges into something to be used for the benefit of benevolent causes; nothing knows how to take on Gnolls like a Gnoll; instill it with a strong sense of justice and point towards evil.

>neutral and productive

Well shit.

Law enforcement would be ideal, I suppose. Since they're less intelligent they'll be less questioning of authority and therefore less open to being undermined by rebellious movements.

I like to think that cyberpunk is just the high tech surface of a planet-wide city, and that deeper in the city bowels where the long forgotten "skyscrapers" and defunct fast food joints meld and rust with the pies and sewer system, nature remains in some form. Even if it is man-made monsters and animals so adapted to city life that they are no longer their original species. In some places, if you go deeper into the city depths you will find the ocean, long forgotten and long buried. A shadowy abyss of black water which will drag you down to feed its scavengers. In other places, you may even find remnants of the old world. A land of eternal night populated by fungi and insects.

As shadowrun shows us, survival gear can always be found. Otherwise, dust/cold would definitely cause issues with cyberware and fancy weapons.

>how do you keep sand out of your matrix jack-port in your spine?
Seal it off. Either get a cover fitted before you go, or keep a sticky dressing over it. Or spray it with synskin. You're not gonna get no wi-fi in the fuckin' desert anyway, omae.

In the snow? Same problem. Snow is just frozen water, yeah? Don't want water in your jacks and your 'ware. Don't want ice in your guns neither, but they at least work in the cold.
And yeah, you're gonna need guns. Polar bears, man. Polar. Bears. You think the sewer bears are bad? Polar bears are worse, omae. White as the snow, come out of the night and eat you in your fuckin' sleep.
Extinct? No way omae. Soon as the geo-engineering lobby chilled the caps back down, the bears started having food again. Yeah. They survive on humans now, mostly. Mostly those bleeding-heart greenies, but they'll eat you just the same. Eat you up, shit out your 'ware into the sea. Nobody's gonna find your corpse.

Underwater and space are pretty similar, though, but different. Same shit, different direction, yeah?
Underwater is simple enough. Easy to get down there. Just step off the boat and sink like a rock. If you float, rope yourself to the street sam and watch him sink.
But you can't breathe down there. Artificial gills are one thing, maybe pic related if you're serious. Only works in shallow waters, though, then the pressure gets you anyway.
Pressure's the bitch that gets you. Squeezes the gas from your blood. Ever hear about accidents back in the deep-oil era, before we grew that from shit and algae? One accident in a pressurised diving chamber, and four guys just got sucked up into the air pipe, snap. Just like that. Four men dead, gore all up the pipe, all over the hab, everywhere. Had to haul it up and count the teeth.
Gotta have hard suits and special gases that make you squeak.

Currently, the walls are very patchwork, though the party have the option to replace or repair it for higher stats.

The human rams are enough to batter a hole in the wall in one hit at the moment using the mechanics I'm working out.

I'm quite hyped for the battle, but there's a lot to plan. Using a combination of the mob mechanics from the DMG and some home material.

Wouldn't mind a review if anyone's willing to do some mechanics thinking:

Each band of 10 is treated as an individual monster with total damage equal to the total damage of all units contained within the band divided by the number needed to hit, rounded down.

For health, it's the combined hitpoints of every unit in the band, but a unit is lost at every hitpoint interval.

DMG 250:
Target's AC - Attack bonus = minimum d20 roll needed (review attached table)

Orcs
===
(Chance for one to hit Humans: 11/10/10/8)
Orcs needed to hit: 2
Melee Damage per Orc: 9
Ranged Damage per Orc: 6
