However, it's unheard of for a superbeing to actually be the head of a crime syndicate, at least for very long, because they fall under such intense suspicion from every superbeing by virtue of being the head of a crime syndicate and are quickly put down if the existence of their superpowers is discovered.

I got a choice between these Duel Decks. Speed vs Cunning, and Mind vs Might. These are the two options I have. Don't ask me why.
What would you choose and why?

speed vs cunning is shit. mind vs might is unbalanced and harder to play. neither are something you can take to FNM to play standard with or anything similar though are pretty fun to play against each other. the problem is that they get old quick since most of the games go relatively similar. a better alternative is for you and a friend to go buy 6-8 packs of the newest set and build limited decks from that (40 card decks). as much as i hate shilling them card kingdon also sells intor decks and battle decks for 10 bucks each with are ready to play out of the box against each other and are pretty fun/interesting, they are great for new players

So a year ago there was these idea of making a giant city whose secretly ruled by a vampire Countessa running all the guilds, gangs and religions behind the scenes.
So I release my players into the setting and present all the the houses and stuff, let them do some minor quests and all that good shit.
Then went for the point with a paladin guild who suspects the Countessa of being a vampire.
I was EXPECTING THEM to get invested in the setting and approach the problem carefully.
NOPE they went straight for the kill and stormed the palace with an army of paladins in three in-game days.
So I'm stuck....didn't expect that so soon....

Players are in for it now, you've got three factions trying to take on this headless city and who's to say about foreign powers who might notice the imbalance and want to make some money off it. Plus the paladins have a stake in this now, having given the party an army to destroy and the investment paying off.
Bankers and nobles would turn up dead in their droves, as people tried to change who was in the most influential positions now the Countessa is gone. Someone might start hiring outside help to do that, get some interesting assassin guys into the mix
House Yakshri has the port? They can start imposing tariffs, no countessa to stop them, meaning there will also be an increase in smuggling and black markets to avoid said tariffs.
House Fumaar opens more brothels, dog fighting rings, slave markets, all that stuff - could start kidnapping blacksmiths to get a monopoly in the town, doesn't need to be obvious until a player goes looking for one
House Rajui sounds like they'd try to shore up control of the bank and the currency, make themselves the government by default - pretty much everyone else would be displeased with this idea.
Ultramarines, Salamanders and Space Furries are the only likeable factions and if you hate Ultras because muh Matt Ward boogeyman go fuck yourself.

My setting has a sea dragon allied empire, and I was thinking it'd be good for their navy to have the equivalent of aircraft carriers in their navy for the dragons to use. But is something like that even possible in a pre-modern setting? Could it just be a fuckhuge ship with a big top deck to land on, or are there details I'm ignorant of? Would sail power by enough to move such a thing?

Using wood as the building material is the biggest limiting factor. There's a hard limit on how big you can make a wooden ship and have it be seaworthy. With fantastic materials you can obviously make it bigger and increase the size of the sails as well.

you can build pretty big sail ships even with Medievalish tech (e.g. Ming treasure ships probably didn't boast the 138m their records claim, but the modern estimate of 80-90m is still impressive for 15th century tech), however the very nature of a sail ship makes a flat top deck pretty much impossible as the masts would interrupt the deck at regular intervals and the rigging would pose a serious hazard to anything trying to land in between the masts.

Apparently this was based on a RPG called "A.V.A." but chances are it's only some homebrew stuff the developers will only keep for themselves.
Make it a Paranoia XP hack. no XP, all Brouzouf based.The chart which determines how Brouzouf is distributed is only known to the DM, demonstrating knowledge of the chart is grounds for murder. All violence checks need rolls to make sure your legs are ok.
