No op but here is some human warhammer 40k factions that are local to a backwater planet that I've never gotten around to using:
>Aurora Alliance
A group of like-minded near-arctic nations sitting on massive mounts of ore. They've been funding "scientific research" and reverse engineering mechanicus tech. They've donated the most number of troops to Imperial tithes.
>Orbital Sovereignty
Astronauts that got sick of petty terrestrial politics and united together for the Emperor. They have the most contact with the wider Imperium and are the only ones with void and warp capable vessels. It's been speculated that they could accuse the planetary factions of heresy, then take over once the nuclear winter clears. They haven't done that yet...
>Equatorial Consortium
They own everything that touches the ocean: Promethium rigs, island nations, port cities, weird alien ruins at the bottom of the ocean. They have floating anti-orbital weapons platforms and will investigate any claim of xenos infiltration.

Their Generals are as follows.

General Deio of the First Fleet. He's the smiley kind of tough guy, the one who will ask you nicely to cut that shit out once, and then break your fucking neck. He believes that they cannot be judged on the actions of their forerunners, and must decide upon their actions in the present. He's nice, supportive, and generally -no pun intended- a good guy. He's the more respected of the three Generals. His fleet is named after positive versions of the Deadly sins, a reminder that in moderation, such vices are actually good things!

General Teatcha of the Second Fleet. She's a fair bit younger than Deio, barely considered an adult, but she's earned her place at the helm through a violent duel with her predecessor. She believes that you should live to the fullest, experience every pleasure of the flesh, and die happy in glorious combat. She's arrogant, dominating in every sense of the word, and passionate. She's not as respected as Deio, and tries futilely to spark rivalry between them. She has a robot hand.

General Santun of the Third Fleet. She's older than Deio and Teatcha combined, but due to their RNA editing technology, she's had several regenerations of her telomeres and maintains a healthy MILF-ish body. At her age, she's convinced that she's never going to find love, drinks heavily, and focuses on her career while acting like a crabby bitch to anyone in a happy relationship. A Christmas Cake, more or less. She has a robot eye.

More or less I want to name their fleets based on the Captains and their personalities. Any details you would like that will assist your answers, I will gladly clarify! Ayn help possible is appreciated!

Wanted to share one of my favorite related greentexts. Good luck on the campaign.

So im going to add on more to my original post
Apart from the normal Stats like strength, intelligence, im adding sanity Will and Psy.
Sanity, the lower it gets the weirder shit they start seeing. It may start out as shadows or hearing stuff but it will slide down into seeing demons controlling zombie hordes and eldritch beings walking down the street.
Will lets them Decreas sanity lose and not piss themselves. High will will let them go straight into the war crimes with less sanity loss.
And Psy. They can unlock it with low sanity or high will.
In addition their is also Stuff like railguns, mech suits, invisibility. this stuff runs of of batteries that are very rare and valuable. These batteries can also power their base for a week easily.
Then the factions im working on.
The 33rd is whats left of the military presence in the city. Their home base is the safest but strictest.
The bodarks are next. They are a PMC that are based out of a military bunker were they found all the toys they have like exo suits and bite proof cloth. They can be hired to help out on occasion.
Then the templars. They are a group of cultists that use Psy to fight of the zombies. They are the least liked because everyone thinks theyre crazy. Granted they are, they just help out.
Finally the Reapers. They stalk the city doing jobs and scavenging. The only noticeable thing about them is they are the most successful group of civilians in the city.
So far i have planned for the factions to all break apart into two groups each, ones who go crazy and let the madness rule them and ones who stay true to their morals.
The players themselves start with a above average character. I have told them that if they die they get a new character but its strictly shit in comparison. When they get a base ready they can take over other characters or send them on missions and they can level up as backup characters.
Its also planed to have them meet the four horse men. So, any suggestions?
