Someone should add in the ONR database to the OP, if only for nostalgia's sake.
From last thread, was thinking, Spoilers on a surface level looks like Gang Sign, which might explain why they are so close mechanically. But Spoilers cannot benefit from a multiplicand effect (HQI) and you cannot manipulate the state of R&D the way you can manipulate the state of HQ by your moves and board states.
A bit late, but yeah, best summation of why I immediately thought Spoilers needed to have an innately stronger effect than Gang Sign to actually represent an equivalent investment in value.
It's kinda sad to see the NA champs at GenCon reduced from 2 days/flights to just 1 leading to the top cuts.
What do you guys think about MeagaCorp TCG?
I'm pretty intrested on how it will go. It feels like a weird futuristic magic game from what i've seen.

Well the game looks interesting but the production quality of that video is atrocious so I assume that the game itself won't be better.
what's the best plane to shift to when you're bored in 5e's standard wheel cosmology?

Limbo or pandemonium. Endless fun there. Nothing like a constant everchurning logic defying (Even by D&D's standards) shitshow to get the blood pumping.

Thoughts on my deck?
I think I want another Gonti, another Scarab God, and as many Champion of Wits I can fit in after that... I cut the Dreamstealers...
My analysis of my own deck and experience with it:
Dread Wanderer: You kinda suck dude. you come in tapped, but hey at least you're a 2-1 and you can come back from the graveyard. That's sometimes useful but not usually. Your'e only here because you're a one drop. Your resurrection cost should be cheaper. But hey at least you can keep coming back.
Gifted Aetherborn: You're great against aggro. The lifelink doesn't hurt either. But we have Fatal Pushes and Grasps.... i'm watching you
Glint-Sleeve: You have menace and you almost always guarantee me a card draw. I feel safe holding a 2 land hand if I see you in it. Ilu bb
Ammit Eternal: You scare the shit out of everyone, that's good.
Wits: You fucking suck tbqh, but I need your card draw
Bone Picker: You only work when you combo with fatal push, but holy shit that combo happens at least in 50% of my games. Fuck you, but you're good.
Gonti: Fun and trolly. Huge comeback potential.
Scarab God: I want to see more of you. You only show up half the time. I'm gonna up you to three and hope Champ of Wits can draw you.
Fatal Push: yea
Grasp: gonna miss you
Never: I hate having you in my deck but hey you sometimes do something useful. eh
Well, talking to my cards didn't help make the decision easier. Gifted Aetherborn is probably on the chopping block to make room for Scarab Gods.
Okay /tg/

I'm fishing for ideas for a Pokemon tabletop game that I want to run for some friends. They plan on running a sudo legit criminal organization to the tune of the poke-Illuminati. So far it looks like two players are interested in empire building, two players are looking for a more tradition Pokemon adventure, one guy wants to explore everything and the other guy is going to be a ghost assassin.
I have a good idea on how I want to main overarching plot to shake out, what with another criminal team already being a thing and contesting them at every move up to the climax where the leader ends up being a god Regigigas masquerading as a pokemon researcher and trying to turn humans into Pokemon in order to exert control over them. But really that's something that comes up at the end and I'd really appreciate some ideas for some short-mid range plot arcs to give them something to do. Thanks in advance
The rival team has wrenched control of a nearby city's Game Corner from our protagonists' team. The party is tasked with investigating and, if possible, regaining control.
>Daaaa...
For you who have been living under a rock "Tales from the Loop" is a TRPG born out of the visual book of the same name. It is set in the 80s', the city in whom you live in has an particle accelerator underneath it, resulting in various changes to enviroment and things living there. Suddenly you got robots, Dinosaurs and other fun stuff. You play as a kid and you job is to solve misteries, so it is kind of Call of Chtullu without sanity but more cute. It is a cinematic D6 dice pool game, you need only one sucsess so you sucseed every time you roll a D6, I guess because you are a child or something. If you want to get a better feel for the world search the images online or fetch the rulebook from DA Archive. Cheers!

I played it and it was fun as a one-shot but you have a really annoying and arrogant voice in your intro so saging.
When it comes to games, how much granularity in weapons do you prefer?
When it comes to swords should the game only care about how many hands it takes to use? Should the game differentiate between a rapier and a longsword? Between a spatha and an arming sword? etc.
Also pic barely related
>>54913578
I like to have a fair bit of granularity myself. Typically going by size and then modified to make different designs have some sort of impact on choice. So you'd have daggers, short swords/spatha/gladius, arming swords, bastard swords and finally greatswords. Treat fencing style weapons as one weight class less for damage but grant them a bonus to parry. If armor works by soaking damage in your system, you might also give them an accuracy bonus, perhaps with another reduction in damage.
>>54913578
Balance, number and type(s) of edges, reach down to the decimeter, if it has a guard at all, shape and type of pommel if it has one, action and recovery time, type of material(s) the weapon is made from, the general condition of the weapon.
Also, shields are weapons.
Was talking with another anon in /40kg/ about named characters for the main legions, and for the Night Lords, Anvrex Rarth seemed like the best candidate. It would be cool to better flesh out this character, would anyone be interested?
Also, post other named characters that there is next to no background for and post some ideas.
Would be cool for Anvrex to have at some point made contact with an inquisitor, maybe trailed by them.
First for the blood goods

WILL HUMANITY HAVE ENOUGH QUARTERS TO DEFEAT THIS MENACE?
>>54912460
>YWN be a lone fighter pilot attempting to destroy Russia's apocalyptic loli with your last remaining quarter held tightly in your hand before all the bullets hit the ground.

Some individuals are born with a unique trait that allows them to think and process new information with incredible speed and precision. In response to this, new technology is built with the intention of being operated beyond human limits. One such invention is that of a hyper-agile, ultralight aircraft called a Sliver. While they are fast, aggressive and their maneuverability is second to none, only a pilot with that unique trait will be able to use its capabilities to its full potential.
Just as nations are beginning to fall to the might of the empire's terrifying new "bullet hell" war machines, a master class of ace pilots aboard Slivers prove that the new weapons are not unstoppable, and that it only takes sustained fire from a single craft between the bullets to take one down.
Alright, so since we got DVV updated with newer properties and DVV Gridlocked fully online, we at the DVV crew have been pissing about a different concept: CNVV, or Cruel Network.
The concept? Take the idea behind DVV of a world run by the greatest Disney villains and conform it to the wonderful world of Cartoon Network--Mojo Jojo, Aku, Mandy, and so on and so forth.
Inquiries are welcome as to who gets what (unfortunately, the map hasn't yet been labelled) but one of the larger (and more petty) reasons we've decided to start this is because of a dispute over what to do with China, which we have turned to you to resolve /tg/. More on the matter next post.
Alright, so getting to the nitty gritty, China has, for the past five or six map editions, belonged to Chase Young from Xiaolin Showdown, with bits and pieces cobbled off to Aku and Vilgax, and Tibet granted to the Cryptids of Secret Saturdays. However, recently one of our number has decided that Chase needs to move over and compress into a smaller space to make room for a more obscure, less well loved show called Hero 108. The map he proposed is pictured here.
Anyway, my issue with this is that the show in question has less fans and recognition value as Xiaolin Showdown, and, in addition, is clogging up what I see as a perfectly fine area of the world with an extra colour. China deserves to be its own thing, and dividing it further isn't doing the map any favours. But that's just my take.
Which version of the map do you folks like better? For those of you who've seen both Xiaolin Showdown and Hero 108, which do you think gets priority here and do you think the latter is even worth adding as its own space?
Any suggestions for podcasts to listen to? Currently I listen to the Drunk and the Ugly but I've pretty much listened to everything and RPPR has some stuff I've listened to as well but not enough to make actually subscribe (they mostly play Delta Green/Call of Chuthlu games)
MILKRUN - a Shadowrun home game podcast.
GM is great and the group has never played SR before. Probably my favourite gaming podcast followed by Ken and Robin.
>>54912536
Huh, didn't think to try and listen to SR games. The two I mentioned also play eclipse Phase although RPPR has more EP games under their belt (then again I like the pulper tone of TDatU's game even though they've only done one campain) I'll check them out.
>>54912686
I listened to some of The Brutalists and Know Evil on RPPR and thought it was alright. People I play with enjoyed it much more than I did.
