For me, nearly All genres fall within this genre spectrum. Hard Sci-Fi would be more in the green spectrum, with things like Interstellar, and Fahrenheit 451. Science-Fantasy, like 40k or Star Wars, would be more scarlet. Supernatural stuff would be more turquoise.

He's on the search for his father, who was forced to leave his son as a child because he was persecuted by narrow-minded bigots, and my character is on a mission to pledge his loyalty to him, as the man who gave him life, and return him to his dying mother so she can see him one last time before she slips the mortal coil.

Funnily enough my next character actually is going to be a dhampir, a ranger for 5e Curse of Strahd. Here's her backstory:

Eventually Lord Ivanov was driven into retreat by servants of the Church of Ezra, and the few surviving Oronovs liberated. Sofya became a devout Ezran follower, and vowed to slay vampires wherever they lay.

I think most people fit into a two color dynamic, but some could be more or less complex. As for who's the prick, the answer is nobody. Or everybody.
Realistically, the color pie would make for a better supplement to the alignment chart. Without it, it would all be interpretation which isn't particularly helpful in terms of giving players information.

Any color can be good or evil, MtG colors don't distinguish that like D&D does. You'd base it off of actions.

However, Red would be more prone to chaotic because red is emotional and passionate, Black would largely be seen as evil due to the whole greed and ambition aspects, while Green or White would be seen as lawful typically because Green favors a natural order while White actually has laws and both colors have values that are less selfish than other colors.

Stats are from Sunless Sea
Iron: Anything dangerous or violent
Mirrors: Noticing or investigating something
Page: Knowing, Thinking through, or researching something
Veils: Hiding something, doing something sneaky
Hearts: Social interaction, and strength of heart

There are no skills, everything uses those stats modified by tags and invokes.
Tags and invokes are more restricted, normally only one tag and one invoke per roll (expection show up), and must be announced before the roll. Style points are easier to acquire than Fate points.

Character Creation goes as follows:
Choose a character archetype, this is one aspect.
Distribute 3 threes and 2 twos among the five stats.
Pick an ambition: write it out, this is one of your aspects.
Pick one of the following menaces: Nightmares, Wounds, Scandal, Suspicion.
Pick one of the following directions: North, East, West, South, Neath. This choice will boost states and gives you an aspect.
Destiny: Trying this bit out. It's going to involve using tarot readings and will give small special abilities. In game this will be the characters getting a fortune reading on the way to the London

Tomb Colonists would be interesting, but none of my friends know a lot about FL/SS setting beyond what I've told them.
They're interested, but it's a lot easier to have them play strangers to the setting, IE from the surface.

If this goes well I might do another game as Zailors, which will open things up.

A loyalist remnant of a Traitor Legion would still be broadcasting Imperial codes from their ships. They wouldn't be destroyed on sight, but someone would investigate them. This is what happened to a few chapters who were loyal but nobody knew who they were, but they had the right military broadcast codes on their ships (even if some were very ancient, like the Carcharodons).

However, once they're investigated, who knows what may happen. An Inquisitor may be called in to secretly fold them into modern loyal chapters, or they may simply be exterminated because they belong to the original traitor legions whose geneseeds and records were sealed.
