OP here. Simple Triad character sheet design attached. Probably I'll add combat action/reaction reference cards later.

I probably should explain some basics about the system, now that I think about it...

It uses 3 main statistics, each represented by a different type of dice (d4, d6, d8).

Out-of-combat checks use 2d[stat] against a difficulty of 7 or more.

In combat PCs roll all three dices to create a pool of points to use during a round.

If any skill is relevant for combat or a non-combat check, they add +3. In combat you must assign the bonus to a specific stat pool.

Actions in combat are simultaneous, there is no initiative.

Character creation, if you already have a clear concept, takes only a few minutes.

NPCs are super-simplified mechanically and organised around Poker suits and card types (instead of calling them minions, bosses, tanks or w/e).

If you are curious, I only tested a previous version of the system that has a less restricted combat sequence, but it was far too chaotic.

Then I started to get extremely bored during work and this came out...

I stopped when they made the decision to reboot, but I still have friends that play competitively and it sounds like FFG have cleaned a lot up.

Melee was, is and will always be fucking a billion times better than Joust.

Strom count is 3, i cast Mind's Desire.
Do i HAVE to shuffle my library every time before i reveal a card or cani just shuffle once and reveal 4 cards (assuming the opponent keeps passing priority and nothing happens between the resolution of the various copies)?

TECHNICALLY speaking you need to make sure your library is randomized each time; the reason for that is so you can't use something like a Brainstorm between copies to set things up.

PRACTICALLY speaking, if your deck is still randomized from the last time you shuffled it, there's no real reason to re-randomize it. So if you're not de-randomizing it between copies, most judges would PREFER that you only shuffle it once, and then just gloss over that instruction on the copies to save time. So assuming your'e not mucking with the deck between copies, it's fine to shuffle once, exile the top card, and repeat 3 times. You still 'shuffled' as far as the game knows (IE, if there was a Cosi's Trickster on board it would 'see' that you shuffled 4 times), but you can skip the actual physical action if the deck is staying randomized the whole time.

So... this card seems useless. Like, it's hard to summon in the first place for a relatively weak monster (I think- I haven't played Yugioh in a while, but 2400 ATK for 3 tributes seems shit)

And unless I'm mistaken, there's nothing stopping your opponent from just conceding before they take the damage, completely negating that effect.

I've played D&D for years and I've found that the times I'm not rolling dice in that game are the times I have the most fun, so I avoid it.

But I think dice are fun so I thought I'd ask, what are some good dice games (that preferably use more than just d6's -- I think non-standard dice are extra fun)?

Single hands of yhatzee - roll rounds (5d6) simultaneously, each round every player declares how many dice they are rerolling, highest score on the 3rd round wins.

Mexicali - roll 2d6, announce/lie about your roll (say the higher number first as the tens, so if you roll a 3 and a 6, you say sixty three). The next player either calls BS or says they can roll it. Doubles are on a higher tier than mixed numbers, and 21 means you call "Mexicali", reveal the 21, auto-win the round and you get to make a rule (like king's cup). 4th Mexicali wins the game. Losing a round by miscalling BS or announcing a losing roll means you take a drink and try again.

My current character is a female cavalier with pretty good CHA. I got some looks during our first session, but I told them I rolled for my characters class, race and gender (I didn't)

Dwarves are the reddit of fantasy races. Elves are hated cause they not super duper manly for people to over compensate with.

Elves are incredibly popular in the fantasy scene. Probably the most popular behind humans.

/tg/ just spent years seeing so many I Hate Elves memes. So now we take that attitude seriously and pretend Elf fans are some kind of minority of pariahs.

Personally I don't like elves or dwarves. I like orcs or failing that tribal themed humans.
