What game do you own the most expansions for? Based on number of actual expansions, not cost spent.
Settler of Catan (2 expansions)
I don't own many games.
>>51468609
Define expansions? Is a splatbook an expansion? I have nearly a hundred books for dnd 3.X.
>>51468609
EUIV, all of the real ones. Its like 12 by now.

What would be the best way to portray a black death scenario in a fantasy setting? Like how would you go about preventing magic from fixing the issue and how should it affect more abstract monsters?
I'd take a lot of inspiration from Bloodborne
>>51467746
Healing magic isn't developed, aside from treating symptoms. Which might help with some diseases, keeping you from losing all moisture and such, but it won't stop people from getting sick in large numbers.
Also, keep it restricted. Not every level 1 Cleric/Adept can just cure The Black Death in every village. A lot of D&D settings forget that the education required to become the equivalent of a cleric has historically been very rare and inaccessible.
How would it affect monsters? Maybe have regional die-offs of orcs or goblins as they contract it and spread it.
>>51467746
>magic
It doesn't matter if a disease can be cured or prevented if you can't get the cure to the parts of the world that actually need it
A lot of diseases are a non-issue in modern countries but horribly dangerous on countries without proper infrastructure
>more abstract monsters
Make the disease some magical conceptual mumbo jumbo, then it can infect things that couldn't normally get sick
Awakened beast with monk levels.

So, what's better, a Culexus, or SoS? If the latter, how many models/squads do you have to take? How are they outfitted?
>>51467671
Culexus easily
A Deathwatch list I'm work shopping, it focuses wholly on an alpha strike with two drop pods with the third and the other two teams deep striking later. Opinions or advice ?
We've had characters raised by wolves. By orcs. By dragons. But have you ever seen a character was raised by something like pic? How would it even work?
That's where waelocks come from.
Alternatively, me and my imaginary friend Shub-Niggurath.
>>51466377
Orcs and dragons are at least sentient creatures that share fundamentally similar human-like psychology. So are the wolves in the Jungle Book. But this? It could probably feed the baby, but definitely not raise it as it would fail to communicate.
>>51466377
Ever see the movie "mama"?
Dicepool/Success or Roll+Bonus?
Examples: CofD with the pool of Atribute+Skill with any 7 or greater being a success and, lets say, you need three successes to do something great. While in D&D you roll d20, sum your bonuses and try to hit or pass the value of the challenge.
If you were going to try a new system, with rolling type would you prefer?
inb4 no rolls
>>51466067
No rolls.Roll+bonus
Roll+bonus is fast, simple and objective. Dicepool is slower and too open for interpretation.
What's that from, OP?
>>51467312
Abnor.
It's an ongoing brazillian webcomic that is also available in english.

Yup.
The moment a Lunar gets the tattoos, they never have to worry about the Wyld Taint again. They keep whatever mutations they acquired in the meantime though, since those are now part of their true forms.
Casteless get screwed over pretty hard, compared to tattoo'd Lunars, in the game and lorewise. (Which is why I'm trying to make the origin worthwhile, and am /still/ going to give CP for taking it).
>>51465286
Yes, just the Lunar's innate shapeshifting.
Altforms or other shapeshifting perks would bypass it, just as Sorcery and other such tricks that change their body bypass it in-setting.

I would appreciate it if that discord would stop rearing its ugly head in the OP.
L5R General
Has there been any definitive word on what's happening with the L5R LCG? I've been waiting since the FFG acquisition to get into the game, but as well as not being able to find any cards online, I haven't found anything to suggest when the system will relaunch?
>>51464366
Gen. Con. 2017.
>>51464366
They said right at the start that they're not saying a thing until they reveal the LCG at Gencon 2017. Anything else (Say, an RPG, or some kind of board game) would be after that, if at all.
>>51464366
They are making the Spider go the way of the kebab, removed.
The RPG is going to use snowflake dice, one for each Ring, the Shadowlands Taint, Honor, and Glory. The sets they will sell will not have enough for a character so you will have to buy 2-3 sets at about $20 US/set/.
Where do we get the flavour of Rangers knowing a little magic from?
Obviously it makes sense for the hardy, independent bushmen that make up the Ranger class to be able to draw on a limited pool of spells for utility and self sufficiency, that in an of itself is flavourful, but does that facet of the Ranger trope have any origins in /tg/ media? Also help me with my fluffy Skyrim ranger build I'm wanting to play to type very closely and was wondering what spells I could throw in, outside of the obvious mageflesh and muffle/invisibility, I have Apocalypse Magic installed so if you're familiar with that spell library I'm only just getting to use it so flavourful recommendations from it would be great.
Giving rangers spells always struck me as fairly retarded. Giving them herb-lore is a far better alternative.
In premodernity, there wasn't such a divide between 'mundane' and 'magical'.
Blacksmiths were magical.
The scientific method as we know today didn't exist, so everything was subject to a multitude of superstitions. The way humans understood nature was through the means of magic. The two are intertwined. Thus, being a master of nature was correlative with the supernatural.
I bet it has something to do with Aragorn.
Movies that would make great /tg/ settings/ campaigns.
>>51463692
