>Question
Has anyone here done a game set during the World Wars?
first for best tribe

>Has anyone here done a game set during the World Wars?
I haven't, but I've always wanted to give Mage Noir a try. But in 2e, so I don't have to handle that dumb Quiet Legacy.
>>51605542
Witch > Sorcerer > Warlock > Psion > Wizard
This is the objective truth and you know it.
>>51591326
>Psion
>psion not dead last
>warlock before wizard
>>51591326
What's a Psion?
>"Why do people constantly shout "fire" when they're using bows? What does "fire" mean to a medieval archer? He would probably think there's an actual fire somewhere and would try to extinguish it with a bucket of sand. The word fire belongs to the age of firearms, the medieval archers were using bows, not gunpowder. The correct words to use are shoot, loose or release. So stop shouting fire, it's really annoying and ruins the immersion."
Is Lindybeige correct /tg/?

Report, Sage, and hide thread. We can ignore, we can fight these threads, and we can win.
>>51580147
I refer to my old flowchart:
1. Is Britain in any way related to the subject being discussed?
>Yes: He's wrong
>No: Go to question 2
2. Is France in any way related to the subject being discussed?
>Yes: He's wrong
>No: Go to question 3
3. Does the subject related to ancient or medieval warfare?
>Yes: There's a solid chance he has a point.
>No: He's wrong
In this case we can answer all three questions with "yes", and as the flowchart predicted he actually has a point. That doesn't mean he's "right" though, as complaining about arrows being "fired" in a casual gaming group is downright autistic. Perhaps you can bring it up in casual conversation (in one of those "did you know?" moments) but actively policing your players on this is stupid.
>>51580147
Depends. At my table we use "let them fly/loose", but it can only ruin immersion if the rest of the players know AND care about it, same as using anachronistic armor.
Stat me /tg/
>>51578955
No.

Another generic looking shit from Overwatch?
Damn, I can't believe some people praise the aesthetics in Blizzard games. Sometimes I can't even understand what game it is - a new Borderlands installment or another Halo spinoff.
So shallow, like Chinese ripoffs.

Path to Exile will pretty much always be #1, simply due to how versatile it is.
> Any that is lowkey spicy tech?
Forked bolt always got me some crazy value when I used to play it, but I'm pretty sure the meta has shifted enough that it's not nearly as good now.
>Think fatal push will make a sizable splash in modern?
It's a nice bit of supplemental removal for decks that can't run bolt, but it's not replacing anything.

In the twilight hours Company A arrayed themselves for the assault. On the fire step stood the first wave, composed of the verlorene haufen. If asked what the verlorene haufen was, Theta would have explained that it was a kind of improvised officer school unique for requiring its students to do only one thing: survive. The members of this group were volunteers who wanted to be commissioned as officers and their purpose was to open breaches in the enemy line. To aid mobility they only wore field jackets and were weighed down with bandoliers of grenades. They were armed with knives, wire cutters, clubs, chainswords, bolt pistols, sharpened entrenching tools and many other items. It was from the few survivors of these groups that new generations of officers arose.
Behind them stood the second wave composed of grenadiers and regular infantry. The third wave was composed of the most valuable guardsmen which were the quartermasters, engineers and officers. A quartermaster carried an antiquated chest filled with the ashes of the former company captains between the waves of guardsmen. The masked men chanted a hymn in their local dialect and reached their hands out towards, but never touched, the chest. “A wholesome and healthy practice,” Theta thought, “unlike what the villagers were doing earlier today.” The Witch stirred uneasily beside him. When the ceremony was done the company descended into the fog.
Thanks to the commissar’s nightly amasec fueled rants, Theta’s knowledge of the galaxy had grown to be immense and encyclopedic. He knew that it was undeniable that Krieg produced the best regiments, that the blue skinned xenos put chemicals in the water that made men and animals homosexuals, that abhumans known as squats lived on the eastern fringes, but for the life of him Theta could not figure out why the fog was leaving droplets of water on his lenses. Fog was supposed to be toxic and radioactive.

Ok so I was looking at CAT and I figured it was pretty outdated in the scheme of things. All I did was reduce the prices to a more 100/200/300/600 type instead of 100/300/500/800. Also a lot of prices on items were slashed.

Thanks, Many.
Here is a question to start things off, what is the biggest wasteful expenditure of CP in a single jump that you have ever made and have no regrets about?
In my current main chain I spent 1000 CP in Spice and Wolf to get Fluffy tails 43 times I regret none of it

The thing is it gives voting power to people who won't necessarily be in the game. It gives you the incentive of voting no to everything except you want to use to discourage people from applying because they don't get the kind of character they want approved. Also impulse voting doesn't display interest most of the time, just as it says, impulse.
>Complaining about it seems needlessly selfish.
If the GM disallowed it I would have 0 issue with it. Even on the grounds of "I don't want to read and learn it".
>If you need the material indicated to be approved to be interested in the game, then surely your interest is more in the material than the game?
That isn't the point. The point is there are trolls who will vote to try and fuck certain people over (there are dedicated trolls against DHB for instance), and two it doesn't add anything to have the players vote yes or no and things they've never read.
>>51600138
Why should applicants who may or may not be in the game get a say about other people's builds, not on the grounds of 'broken or no', but on the grounds of 'I don't want to read it'. Also you don't even have to be applying to vote for it.

Please don't forget to use an anime picture as your OP.
The Imperium is closing on us. The squid-species is nearly dead, and a feline one has been purged. We must go on the offensive. Damn the humans. Reinforcements are arriving from Andromeda.
>>51600167
Refugees are being evaced to the wormhole. There are other issues, such as a species known as the Eldar attacking shipping across the northwest passage.
>>51600201
Military Aid from the Chiriim, and other various races have been given to fight this threat. We are currently evacuating refugees, and we will wait until launching an attack.
>>51600167
The Imperium has also recently mobilized it's marine forces in ultima segmentum.

To the Anon who asked for the Timori writeup as a 2e Legacy? Here's what I've got so far.
You fucking monster.
These guys are fucking nasty.
Their final attainment can turn you into a Sleeper by eating all your Gnosis.
And Quiescence doesn't lube you up before it fucks your ass with its abyssal-shard dick any more.
How do you think you'll fare when you have to roll a Breaking Point for every mystical experience you had as a Mage?
I know there are regular threads on /v/, maybe even a general on /vg/, but I'd like to discuss it here.
What do you think of the setting and the lore, /tg/?
I personally didn't think much of it at first, but it grew on me. I like that it's set in the Southern Hemisphere and the Celtic feel of the Dyrwood region.
Deities and religion are also pretty good, and the concept of Animancy as a central theme is pretty neat.
I can't really like the races though. Amanua and Orlan really just seem like the devs were really trying hard to add not-Orcs and not-Halflings, but I don't see the added benefit at all.
Also, Godlikes are outright stupid, they should be left out entirely.
Also, a world map, just in case. I also like the different regions which they only mention.
I'm absolutely fine with Aumaua and Orlan. Agreed on godlikes, they're obviously meant to merge genasi, tiefling and aasimar, but they end up not adding much in a world where only about six creatures can even sire them, especially when the D&D equivalents were just the grandkids of bog-standard outsiders.
>>51592836
I kind of expected them to be very special and important to the plot, but in all honesty they are just there for kids to have a cool character.

I have a few stories about commandeers used to great effect.
>usually just use it to steal ramp or card advantage, nothing makes people saltier than losing their thran dynamo
>deflects removal spells or counterspells too
>insanely good when you have an abundance of cards in hand, exchanges useless chaff for valuable tempo
>often even a tempo AND value plus, any card worth 3 or more cards gets into incredibly powerful territory
>can be hardcast for immense value, which is fine if you're not a pussy

Alright boys, i need help. I've started to fall out of edh due to the fact that if I'm having fun, odds are nobody else is. For example, I've made several decks, my first big one being derevi enchantress/stax. Yes, the one from reddit. All jokes aside it's one of the most fun decks I've played in edh, however it was massively tuned compared to my playgroup, even after i dumbed it down several times, and even intentionally not going infinite was still overbearing. So i said "i need something different that is the opposite of this" so i made izzet storm, which was a fun deck except it had a large solitaire feel to it, which i disliked. It's at this point that i learned that most of my group wants battlecruiser shenanigans more than anything else, so i said ok, and built gonti. At this point everyone basically assumed i was playing something degenerate so i would get targeted by most of the pod due to a lack of threat assessment, as i often did nothing all game due to this, And they would make excuses like "you make good decks so I'm targeting you." At this point i was fairly disheartened, as if i wanted to play edh in a way that was fun for me, it often just bopped the people i was against, and when i built casual i got targeted because i couldn't defend from multiple people swinging. As a last ditch effort i made ezuri, claw of progress, after finding a precon at Wal-Mart. I put in big cards like avenger of zendikar, but put no real money in the deck (nothing over 6ish dollars) , with the only attempt to go infinite being a sage of hours and a lab man for shits n giggles. But playing this durdly battlecruiser magic with "fair cards" and no combos, is the most unfun experience I've had in magic. So my question to you all is: do i play the cards i enjoy, or just stop bitching and play on the same level as everyone else, even if it is less enjoyable for me?
