OK, I'm working on a Dwarven Herald Caller Cleric. CN, worshipper of Cthulhu (CE). Dark Tapestry Subdomain of Void Domain
Ability scores (With Dwarf bonuses) are 7, 8, 15, 7, 20, 14
I've got a handle on everything but I have concerns with feat progression.
At current, I've planned
Antihero Feat- Improved Initiative
Level 1- Summon Neutral Monster
Level 3- Expanded Summon Monster
Level 5-Evolved Summon Monster
7- Toughness
9-Sacred Summons
11- Skill Focus: Perception
13- Proxy Summoning.
Other feats I might want are Selective Channeling, Combat casting, and Spell Expertise minor and Major for Summon Monster.
I do notice that because of Herald Caller's limitations, I can't summon ANYTHING from the Summon Monster 1 list.
How might I improve feat progression?
I should note that I get Augment Summoning and Superior Summoning for free
and am treated as having Spell Focus (Conjuration) for the purposes of Evolved Summon Monster
I may ditch Skill Focus, and slip in Minor Spell Expertise

Underwater Astartes missions limited to fully suited troops, dreadnoughts, and Land Raiders when?
>Elves are usually depicted as more longlived, more intelligent, more skilled and more in tune with magic than humans
>Humans are the dominant race in the majority of settings
Explain this
>Inb4 muh low birth rates
Even if their birth rates were 8 times lower than those of humans it wouldn't matter because elves live 8 times as long. This isn't an excuse.
>>51619306
You can try to draw some real world parallels, anon. It's not THAT farfetched.
Elves do not hibernate during the winter.
They masturbate.
>>51619306
Extensively difficult birth rates, elves are of the opinion that children are incredibly expensive and difficult to raise (Especially because the stages in which the child can die by really minor trauma like shaking last 8 times as long), think of the reason we have an aging population.
Would people honestly bitch about 40k going to a format like this?
To explain what is happening here:
>AoS warscrolls have no points
>One book is released which has the points for everything in it, all in one tome. This is also the essential 'rulebook' for the game, and only about $25
>The book will be re-released yearly with updated points for all the units and formations based on feedback from players and tournaments, pic related is a preview of updated points for playtesting for the book that will be released later this year
So to clarify what I am implying for 40k, this is what would happen:
>40k still has all its codeces, but no points included
>the base rulebook has points for all the units and formations, and is a cheaper price
>the base rulebook gets re-released yearly, with points for everything adjusted based on feedback from tournaments allover the world, periodically GW puts out playtest points for feedback.
Would anyone honestly complain about this? This could prevent codex creep, as all points for everything gets updated ALL AT ONCE, instead of one codex at a time. Or would people still whine because it resembles AoS, even though it could be one of the few good aspects of AoS?
I think people would be terrified of that change because, as you said, it resembles AoS. The similarity in and of itself isn't the issue, but people are already nervous about losing the setting to 40k End Times/Age of the Emperor, and rehashing the release structure to closely ape AoS's will crank that anxiety up to eleven.
By itself, though, there's no issue with using AoS's publishing pattern; it really is pretty solid.Pic unrelated but goddamn captcha
>>51613197
I'd resent having to shell out for a new rulebook every year, but it wouldn't be the end of the world. My bigger concern would be 40k adopting AoS's simpler rules - that's a complete dealbreaker that would push me over to another game, or at least remain playing earlier editions.
>>51613197
>Would anyone honestly complain about this?
Yep, since people wants to see 40k fixed, not totally turned into "roll 3+ to win".
Are there any games you'd like to play but for whatever reason you're pretty certain you never will?

There was talk in the last thread that about the Tau and how extensive their Empire was when they signed up into the Imperium.
It seemed that the Proctoon (what's left of them) and the Kroot were integrated at the time. I would suggest the Vespid and maybe one or two of the literally who minor xeno species.
We need them to be a large and established empire brought low before they join.
But they would not have the Niccassar(?) or the Demiurg. Demiurg are already part of the Imperium. Niccas would negate one of the limiting factors that kept the Tau in place for their ass kicking.
I know there was the discussion of some sort of weakness for the C'tan vampires to prevent them from being superior to humans or eldar in every conceivable way. I still vote for solar radiation causing the C'tan shard inside the vampire to devour anything that it touches. That includes the vampire's body itself as the C'tan shard will go berserk and try to eat the cells in the body. When given enough time in sunlight or solar energy in the body, the vampire will drop dead as all of the bodily functions stop due to being unable to regenerate faster than the rate the shard can kill cells.
>>51525101
A weakness to solar radiation just seems inconsistent with the fluff since the C'tan ate stars until they found out that souls were tastier. And honestly, I don't see what's wrong with having the vampires be OP or mostly superior to mortals. Most things in the Warhammer universe are better than humanity, but humanity wins out through grit, tenacity, cleverness, and a bit of luck (and throwing lots of bodies at the problem). A C'tan is one of the most powerful beings in a universe where everything is absurdly powerful, so yeah, facing a tiny sliver of a C'tan in a mortal body should still be a terrifying and nigh suicidal task.

Why is there no fucking Direct Democracies or Social Democracies in space, who writes this shit
>>51627433
Main reason, is because it's easier to keep repeating cliches made up by other people rather than figuring out your own stuff.
One could also argue that space is too big for direct democracy.
But at the same time space is too big for any government style.
>>51627433
>>51627433
Pretty sure that social democracy falls under the in-direct bureaucracy dystopia senpai.
>>51627433
>Direct Democracies
How would that work for something as big as a multi-planetary entity? It hardly even works for small countries like Switzerland.
Also, social democracy is an in-direct democracy.
