Was she a good example of lawful good /tg/?
>>51587064
Nope. Self-deluded CE held on an LE commander's leash.
All she really wanted was the thrill of the kill.
>>51587064
Lawful Evil at best
>>51587192
But why? She was merely dealing with assassins, she protects the weak and the citizens while fightning agaisnt criminals.
I'm not sure if it's too "noblebright" for 40k, or if it's too special snowflake. I need help making them more fallible, and most of all I need a chapter logo. Here it goes:
Angels of Murder (13th Founding, fleet-based)
Don't know founding chapter, think it's Fists because of their tendency to get wiped out, or Raven because of their pragmatism (they're really Ultramarines)
Were nearly wiped out in a battle against the Nids, reduced to 150 full Battle-Brothers and 1st, 2nd, 3rd companies wiped out
Geneseed flaw slowed hypno- conditioning, so couldn't replenish losses quickly
Almost all relics lost, with exception of one Contemptor Dread, Ancient Arak, and all the power armor they had left was mainly MkV and MkVI
Their former 7th Company commander became Chapter Master, made several changes to chapter structure to compensate
He installed a Chapter Counsel to help him lead, as he was relatively inexperienced for the job
They would focus on bolter drills and stealth to make use of what equipment they had left, become self-sufficient in learning how to repair their wargear and fleet, and become friendly to Imperial Guard to augment their firepower
Under his leadership, the Angels became known for their marksmanship and skill at ambush, in addition to a more relaxed approach to out-of-battle discipline
>>51586986
Later, the Angels were led to the Maxima system to put down a rebellion
The rebels were well-organized and free of Chaos, while the leaders were guilty of criminal mismanagement and corruption
Instead of crushing the rebellion, they chose to intimidate the governor instead and force a peace settlement
This would make the Inquisition suspicious of their loyalty in the future
After a brief period of restructuring, Maxima was at peace, with the Chapter Master personally overseeing the rebuilding of their defenses
Notable events during Reconstruction include the purging of Orks from one of Maxima's moons, a minor truce established with a minor Craftworld (if you don't bother us, we won't bother you), taking in a peaceful band of Beastmen as chapter serfs, repelling a Tau offensive and getting them embroiled in a war with a Night Lords warband, and finding a cache of Pre-Heresy equipment
Though stealthy long range fighting was still their forte, the Angels would branch out into multiple different types of warfare, using different chapter tactics as the situation warranted
They also reached out to Space Marine chapters in adjacent systems, fighting alongside the Rust Angels, Aquamarines and the Warp Specters in multiple campaigns
However, the Inquisition accused them of heresy- their truce with the Eldar, acceptance of Beastmen, not pursuing a campaign of genocide against the Tau, their empire-building with their Marine allies, and their refusal to eliminate the rebels being evidence against them
Now they are being sent off planet in a penitent crusade, directly in the path of Abaddon
As Maxima is besieged by Tyranids and the Tau, the entire 7th Company falls to Nurgle as part of a deal to save it, but is promptly put down by the rest of the chapter
The chapter has hope that they will survive to rebuild Maxima, and hope that Terra can be saved- but in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.

The name is cringe-inducing, even for 40k

They look like poop
I am going to run a pretty low powered, down to earth campaign mostly focused on roleplaying a single day in the life of a few dudes in a generic fantasy urban medieval city.
I have a few encounter ideas and I would love for some help with more.
>Group gets flagged by an angry woman; her husband is out drinking away the family's coin. Gets' asked to simply get him home in exchange for some of the odds and ends he got from his last job.
>small group of children decided to throw rocks at some dogs and is about to get savaged.
>Butcher wants some helping hands to get some premium meat from his storage on the docks. It's not his storage nor his meat.
Tl:DR Small self-contained adventure ideas.
Help is appriciated.

Low magic .
Background classes only ?

Just general ideas. I'd be happy with whatever you can cook up.

going to a country like friesland
and discover runes and their lost culture and language
ive been reading the oera linda book and studying friesland and the frisian languages and its all really interesting
What is the Elven cancer rate?
100%
Depends on the setting.
>>51586303
same as among humans in your average fantasy setting: 0%
When you create characters, how cleanly do they fit in archetypes, personality or other-wise? Is it on purpose or unconscious? Do you go out of your way to avoid it or embrace it?
>>51586268
As far as character creation goes, I'm looking for an escape not a challenge or a precious snowflake, so predictably clean.
>>51586268
I actually really like archetypes and gimmicks, so most of my characters are like that at the beginning, though I do my best to mix them up. Some work out well, some don't work out great, but they're all fun.
Don't think I'll ever be able to make a Crab-man barbarian though.
interested in your attempt to make a character that doesn't fit an archetype and isn't just a chaotic jumble of traits. archetypes exist because traits have synergy with certain other traits.

Anybody ever developed/homebrewed their own traits?
While the game is pretty comprehensive, I also feel like that might be one of the easiest things to expand but I've never really thought about it myself.
I'll post again for the new thread.
>Is all on info on the organic TITAN fork in the FATE book? I found the idea pretty cool.
Hi all. I've been thinking of incorporating Tiamat into the campaign I DM for, since I feel like she can be a really effective BBEG, at least later on when my PC's get a little bit stronger. I've been struggling to find music I think is appropriate for her though, and I was hoping you could help. Im hoping for some creepy chanting, and definitely very doomy apocalypse feeling. Anyways, now that I've shamelessly asked for help, what is some of your favorite music to play during boss fights? my current favorite https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWxYnyT4sLA

I really like this, thanks.
So me and a friend of mine want to do a tabletop campaign between the two of us, with both of hs having a character and alternating in our GMing duties. Has anyone here done anything like this before? Are there any good systems that facilitate this type of roleplay?
We're specifically looking for fantasy in the same vein as Dungeons & Dragons, but perhaps a bit more rules-lite and not reliant on a full party of adventurers for game balance.
>>51583614
How about an espionage game because the James Bond RPG from the 80's is hands down the best one player RPG I have ever played. You can download the books at any torrent site. Easy system as well.
>>51583614
Ends in gay sex. Calling it.
Can't get much more rules light than Microlite.
If this is a bit too light I suggest Savage Worlds.
>Larp
>I like to play paladins
>Everyone says I look intimidating (Mostly because of my height and my build)
Is that bad for a paladin?
>>51583326
Absolutely not. Turn that height and build into a strong, safe presence, a shield for them to hide behind.
It's all about how you carry yourself.
have some paladin art.
I really like paladins
say a god is gigantic but humanoid in all proportions, and say that it's flesh isn't capable of decaying after death because: God.
And say it's blood evaporates instead of coagulating, how tall would the god have to be so that people could basically live inside the god's arteries and veins and major body cavities?
>>51583309
I mean, you want people to live inside a dead god?
That's a pretty cool idea.
Well it depends on how large you want the community to be, and what you mean by "Live there".
Like, does the dead god serve as a dwarf-hold style dwelling for the entire race who can spend their whole life there?
Is it the home of a single tribe who venture outside too?
>>51583309
Well, how many people do you want living in there? If we're just going with the minimum size to use its blood vessels as hallways, the iliac vein on a normal human is about 6.5 mm wide on average. Scaling that up, the god would need to be about five hundred times taller than a human for that to be comfortable to walk through. 3.25 meters is a decent height for a hallway.
>>51583414
>>51583420
How large that the avioli of the lungs could be converted into small hovels?
How broken is Cthulhutech?
Like, I know it's swingy as fuck, but how unplayable does that make the game?
>>51581794
Never heard of it.
But the idea of turning the lovecraftian mythos into a sci-fi setting seems cool.
>>51581832
it is a cool setting, but the core mechanic of poker dice is justdumb as fuck
>>51581832
I think turning the yog-sothothery into a high flying gunslinging sci fi setting sounds really fucking dumb, actually. Why not just make your own new setting with it's own aesthetics and feel instead of jumping a bandwagon and clearly missing the point of your original material?
Am I wrong, or does this game actually manage to capture the existential terror stuff?
Who was in the wrong here?
You are, for making threads about dumb twitter drama.
If he wanted to 'shake off the haters', he should have logged off twitter and read a book or something lol
Kids today are fucking retarded and don't seem to realize you don't have to stay on the net and be insulted.
Google isn't giving me much about this, just that he called a judge about something.
I think there's a video about it on YouTube, but it's from one of the faggots I absolutely refuse to watch.
So what's going on?
Modern military VS your generic ancient/medieval/renaissance army, which has had all their soldiers and equipment enchanted to be completely invisible on any wavelenght of light.
Sneak attack at night and cut their throats.
Next stupid question?
>>51581545
Invisible generic ancient/medieval/renaissance army gets utterly disorganised without the basic soldiers being able to see banners etc. to keep them in their units/telling them where to go, there are loads accidental casualties from trampling and tempers flaring when units collide, and the army basically defeats itself without the modern guys lifting a finger.
>>51581545
>which has had all their soldiers and equipment enchanted to be completely invisible on any wavelenght of light
Does that mean the light cannot enter their eyeballs, thus rendering them blind?
Is his game any good?
>>51580899
Report, sage, and hide thread. This is Virt pretending to be Varg for shits and giggles. The mods do delete these threads if reported enough times.
>>51580899
Meh, it's fun but in my experience only for the first few days. After that you become a lord, get a fief and maybe even a big enough army (and income to sustain them) to win a siege or two. But even then you can only win against the most lightly guarded of castles and you're very much dependent on your lord. After that you just stagnate. You're strong enough to defeat most individual armies, strong enough to win over lightly guarded forts, but not strong enough to defeat the largest (royal) armies and not strong enough to take towns with like 300 men guarding them. This means you're stuck remaining loyal to your lord because you're too weak to either found your own faction or take up arms for a pretender.
I acknowledge I may be doing something wrong but this is my experience with the game.
>>51580899
Bannerlord comes out this year so you might as well wait
I'm playing an "anything goes" game of 5e at 12th level, and I'm making a best Joestar expy. I want him to be good at straight-up combat (Hamon and bare-handed optional) yet also good at underhanded tricks. I've been thinking about a Paladin/Rogue or a Paladin/Bard multiclass, but I'm not sure what to do beyond that.
>>51580858
High Int/Cha, maybe a paladin/monk hybrid with divine smite refluffed as hamon?
>>51580858
Sun Monk from SCAG.
Paladin with the Tavern Brawler feat and a level dip into Rogue.
>>51580943
To be honest, just go Sun Soul Monk if you want the radiant damage without the MAD multiclassing junk. Get that DEX waaaaay up there for Sleight of Hand shenanigans. I don't think INT or CHA would do THAT much to affect your character's likeness, just get the Skilled Feat if you'd want the skills relevant to him such as Deception for Bluffing or Knowledge something something if your background doesn't cover it for you already.
