I just kind of appear in the Gnome Island and quickly excuse myself with ghost nonsense to be on my way, leading to some momentary confusion. I wander about a little until I come across the Mystery Shack...but before that, I'm suddenly tackle-hugged by my new twin. As in, someone who looks like a female version of me, except without the Driver or the glazed-eyes look that comes from decades and decades of fighting. I'm confused and disoriented by this, especially since I had no context for this. Still, I played along, not wanting to disappoint this person or make them sad. The swords and Kivabat are naturally chatty about this, much to my embarrassment. She's a weird mix of a bookworm and hyperactive, to boot, and I have trouble keeping up with her since I'm more of a ‘talk first, punch second’ sort of person.

We end up getting sucked into the plot when Gideon tries (and fails) to kidnap Kivabat the 2nd thanks to his ability to change between human and bat form, and become a secondary pair of Mystery Twins alongside Dipper and Mabel. I don't break out the henshin except for big fights and Weirdmageddon. Lots of exploding demons.

Overall, even though I've been shoved into a younger body yet again, just being able to solve mysteries with very little fighting is...nice. It's a change of pace I could get behind. Even if I don't know how Ford recorded details of me before I arrived. I asked him about it before the summer was over.

He said that he just woke up one morning and found that completed page right in front of him, pen in hand.

I suppose that explains why Ford was so suspicious of me after he got back through the gate.

One conversation stuck out in my memory.

Poorly written, with terrible ideas. Nothing in it worth using, either because it's unoriginal, or its originality explores only stupid ideas. Basically, worthless to everyone.

It at least needs some sort of selling point. It needs a hook, like a good original setting or a good translation of an existing one, or a mechanic that helps distinguish it by being actually useful. Being balanced is not enough of a selling point, nor is simply having a lot of material if the material doesn't inspire any ideas.

You either have a devoured bag of holding or a bag of holding with a bag of devouring inside it. I don't really see why it needs to be more complicated than that. To get really weird you could have a haversack that has bags of holding and devouring in different compartments to fuck with people
