Long story short: I really like gnolls, particularly their 4e fluff, but Yeenoghu has always seemed a little... dull. I mean, come on, butchery is kind of what demons *do*. We already have Kostchtchie, Baphomet and Demogorgon for Wrath & Savagery-type Demon Princes.
But there's some actual mythological lore about hyenas in the real world. It's kinda /d/ related, but it made me wonder: would Yeenoghu work as a "Demon Prince of Excess"? A Slaanesh-esque figure who preaches indulgence in all pleasures - carnality, gluttony, sloth, a beast of sin who still enjoys brutal slaughter & butchery, but that's only part of his "portfolio" (excess in combat)? Maybe even throw in some aspects of Lamashtu, his Pathfinder equivalent?
Would you consider this a valid rework of Yeenoghu? How would you make him different to the bog-standard Beast of Butchery we've had for the last 5e editions? Or would you give the gnolls a new patron - Lamashtu or Baphomet, perhaps?
Also, Gnoll Thread. Post gnoll art, talk about gnolls, debate gnolls as PCs (they *have* been playable canonically since 1e's The Orcs of Thar), whatever.

Eh, not necessarily. I have wondered if maybe the "Yeenoghu of Excess" interpretation might not justify him either be the literal mother of the gnoll race, or at least sporting man-tits for the same reason the Egyptian god Hapi did (symbol of his nature as a power of fertility and fecundity), but never really settled on it.
I have made gnolls into a minor fiendish race (roughly the same "power level" as tieflings), so you can technically summon and bind them through spells the way you can normal demons, though.

Welcome to the thread for d20 station, a rules light, medium RP Space Station 13 server.
>What is Space Station 13?
It's a 2D top down atmospherics simulator with who dun it gameplay layered on top. Each crew member aboard the station has a specific job to perform, while a select few are selected to be traitors (assassin/spy/thief).

d20 is a server made for fa/tg/uys by fa/tg/uys

You'll need to download the BYOND client.

Use OOC (backspace say" in the bottom, type OOC and hit enter, or: http://i.imgur.com/RodAGGZ.png), which means Out Of Character chat, and ask someone for help on how to play. People will almost always help you get a grip of the game if you're polite about it, just don't reveal too much in-round information in OOC.
There's also wikis dedicated to documenting the spaceman way of life, but they vary widely from server to server.
>What are the rules?
The rules are very relaxed and admins try to take a hands-off approach to administrating. Admins will generally only intervene if someone is explicitly playing to ruin the game. Reminder to read the rules in-game.
>What map/code do you run?
We run a heavily modified Ministation map with mostly custom code. Most jobs on Ministation are merged with similar counterparts and head roles have been re-enabled.
>When does everyone play?
The server is mostly populated with Americlaps, so peak times are usually between 7pm-3am EST
>Who are these tripfags?
Usually admins/coders for the server.

They're sternguard, but with some extra options (including close combat weapons)
Not the best, but hardly the worst. Having extra flexibility makes them fun to play, if you're into that.

Floor? Not really sure what that means. Like my apartment floor? If the rest of my shit burned up, then I sure as shit arent spending some of the few precious shekels I have left on cardboard.
It would be too painful to get back into the hobby. Ive put countless hours into designing and creating elaborate foam core inserts, on top of various other ways of pimping out my games. I dont know if I could bring myself to make them again

Right now, Millennium Blades. There's a fresh wave of it hitting stores now and I would hate to wait for another reprint of it. Also it's a game I still have yet to get a good amount of play time out of but could see myself playing a lot more. Second, Baseball Highlights just because I play it so much. Never coming back: Krosmaster Arena. I don't regret it, but I'm never seeking out all those figures again now that I own everything I want in terms of characters from the show.

Why does my ship have arms? Why is it carrying an ax? I have no idea, nor do I expect an answer but what the hell I am at a hot spring planet so I am taking a vacation and I’m too drunk to care.
We are supposed to be hunting some pirates or something here but honestly I really don’t care. I mean the spaceships have arms… that’s not even logical. I’m drunk and even I know that. It even has an Ax, how is an Axe a space ship weapon. Is our ship’s ai secretly a dwarf or a Viking; I wouldn’t be surprised at this point

Ok so those stupid grappler arms are more useful than I thought and my ship is torn to hell to prove it. I mean you would think torpedoes and summoning lightning dragons would be good enough to keep people from deciding they want to have their ship punch our ship and rip it apart but no… so now I have to find means of repairing the ship. Some guy named Fred Lou seems to be willing to lend me the money but I have a bad feeling about this.

...in a Terminator? Because this just doesn't seem like it would work without some major reconstructive surgery. The thing is just too fat and too slouched to -not- give a space marine some awful back pain. If anything it should reduce height, not increase it.

I don't think it's impossible, just a badly drawn example.
It works if you imagine him slightly hunched, like an Ork is. Also bear in mind that they have *massive* pauldrons and the actual arm/shoulder is much lower in the armour.
Finally, remember that most of the 'nose' is going to be sensors and that the skull would be much further back.

What do you guys think counts as 'competent' for a young Exalt? I mean in the setting, not among PCs. Like, would a young DB with 3s and appropriate specialties in the Abilities directly related to his chosen career be a disappointment or a promising youngster? What would count as a noteworthy prodigy against the Exalted?
