Red Dwarf themed campaign where your party play as the four characters (Lister, Rimmer, Cat, and Rimmer) GM could pretend to be Holly or something. Random adventures and events as you discover planets. Would /tg/ play?
Hell no, that thing was a goddamn cringe-fest.
>>51741871
Probably.
>>51741903
>He says while furiously masturbating over knights who say fuck and the walking meme.
>>51741903
Ignore this pleb. His taste is shit and he's probably a bad person.
Red Dwarf is hilarious and I think it would make for a fun light hearted humorous campaign.
So i've been thinking of started a project where i paint one space marine (probably just a tactical unless i can get something more chapter specific) for every known chapter, and in the end making a big labeled and organized display for them.
What do you guys think? any ideas or suggestions? or what chapter i should start with, i want to do them in sets of 10 so i can fit them slowly into my work week.
>>51741696
Well first off if you want to do 10 per week you should obviously start off with the founding chapters, plus two more to round it out. Perhaps the extra 2 should be significant chapters, such as Black Templars or Blood Ravens?
Also how will you display them? personally I think you should make a diorama with all of them in dramatic poses.
>>51741696
How about having the founding chapters as Sergeants and then having the ones below as regular tactical marines?
>>51741763
10 a week is just an estimate since my schedule is entirely inconsistent, and the weather in my area often robs me of my airbrush, However i do already have a Blood Angel and a Dark Angel,
A mad scientist is abducting homeless people, shooting them up with weird drugs, and then letting them go. Within days of being experimented on, these people start growing cashmere wool out of their skin. The mad scientist claims he's giving the homeless a way to make money.
Wat do?
Giving homeless people access to more than a bare minimum of income usually hastens their deaths.
>>51740107
to the scientist or just in general?
In general I would start a homeless shelter so I could collect that wool while giving them food+place to stay.
>>51740107
The price of cashmere wool drops dramatically with the sudden glut in production, causing traditional sheep ranchers to lose their jobs. Fortunately, they continue to produce wool by becoming kidnapped and injected soon enough.
I'm making a space opera setting. I have most of it plotted out, but I have one significant problem: the FTL system. I've established that it works by sending you near the target sun by means of a straight line, so that you can only move between stars. My problem is that for game and story purposes I need this to need some kind of fuel that 1. can't be easily made by natural materials, 2. actually can be made by natural materials by a race of aliens that figured out how, which provides the major narrative thrust. How can I make this work?
Google negative matter or negative mass. Wormholes created from such mass locked to stars.
You can't.
>>51733640
>I've established that it works by sending you near the target sun by means of a straight line, so that you can only move between stars.
Sounds a bit like the Alderson Drive or Node Drive.
>I need this to need some kind of fuel
Hmm. That's a tough one.
Hey fa/tg/uy, why haven't you been playing the best RPG-replacement in a box yet?
Super strategical combat with CYOA adventure event cards and legacy map and character role additions.
You DID back it, right fa/tg/uy?
Look at that sweet stickerless map. Don't you want to cover it with stickers of all the locations you can visit?
Thoroughly embarassing that this game is getting no conversation on /tg/ when its everything you ever wanted.
>>51733360
How many shillbucks do you make an hour?
Also, we have a board game general, newfriend.
/tg/ I don't usually post here but my wifes son was given this puzzle and for the life of me I cannot figure it out.
How the fuck does it work?
>>51732995
>my wifes son
Get the fuck out of here you cuck.
"Drink more ovaltene"
>Eastern setting
>Would like to play a paladin.
>GM says no because there are no eastern paladins. Just as there are no western monks.
There was no eastern equivalent of paladins?
There are so many fucking eastern equivalents to paladins it's hard to choose.
Then again, none of them perfectly line up, but there are a lot of archetypes close enough that denying the idea of a divinely blessed warrior out to punish the wicked and protect the innocent is just stupid.
Although, clarify- What do you mean by 'Eastern'? East asian fantasy mashup, something more weighted toward Japanese or Chinese mythology, full on Wuxia shit?
>>51727258
Not!Japan which is divided into several kingdoms.
Samurai
How do you deal with your P's evolution during a campaign ?
For players :
>Do traumatic experience mark them, are they influenced by what happens to them and how ? Does it show in the way you play them ? Have your characters ever change alignment ? (if you use alignment systems, and in that case, ew)
For GMs :
>Do you encourage your players to make their characters evolve with what they live, adapt to what they experience ? Do you favorise players that actually put effort in the evolution of their characters ? Do you include stat or rule changes for it ?
Also pic unrelated
>>51713011
That's an interesting picture. Source?
Alignments are shit but character development is always great. More systems should encourage it mechanically.
It's hard to get players to do it, though, and like i said, there are usually not that many mechanics that will reflect character development. Alignment is dumb, and switching alignment isn't even a good indication that anything happened to the character, but is usually rather that the player wanting to play a different type of game. Any kind of skill progression should be handled by the system, but changes in personality aren't things you can enforce or track, since it really depends on the players.
>>51713037
Actually I don't know, someone I know sent it to me and I didn't ask for source then.

>The combined forces of the Aeldari take to the battlefield as a Reborn Warhost. These warriors have heard Yvraine’s words or the call of Ynnead, and fight on, free from the terror of soul death. This collection of the Aeldari’s most skilled is more than equal to the immense burden that destiny has placed upon them.
>This bundle allows you to build and field the Reborn Warhost, a detachment from The Gathering Storm: Fracture of Biel-Tan that combines some of the deadliest Aeldari miniatures from the Eldar, Dark Eldar and Harlequins ranges into one combined army.

Worked for imperials with their KnightMarine armies so why not.
>>51703223
It doesn't even seem to save money.
Which is the worst part.
>>51703269
These never do. It's only the stuff that comes together in a box that does like battleforces and boxed games.
Forgeworld sells some good bundle deals though, oddly enough. They had one that essentially gave you a free titan.

Next Unearthed Arcana will be probably on the subject of Mystics or Sohei, or probably both. Expectations?
>>51739425
>>51739447
>>51738936
Pretty much the same as in 3.x then.
Noted.
>>51739018
I understand that perspective but don't share it. You don't need to have every aspect of backstreet worked out in advance, just personality + group ties + major goals. Half a page, tops.
Anything else can be filled in during the campaign as necessary
>>51739425
Something something anime.
>>51739425
What's a sohei?
Anxiously waiting for the mystic though, killing people with mind powers has always been a favorite of mine.

Unofficial shadowrunning rules
What are some rules you and/or your team follow, no matter what? Any rules about running that are important you feel are not mentioned enough? What would be the most important lesson you could teach yourself if you went back in time?
First for what are some interesting ideas for a Street Sam that aren't just your generic shit?
My chummer's crashing every time I open the add qualities tab. It never happened before I went to my game like 7 hours ago, it just started. I've deleted the whole thing and used a new nightly build but it still refuses to work. Also just added an exclusion to my antivirus. Any idea what's going on /srg/?

In terms of destructive power it can, with difficulty, take on Titans-sized mecha.
The real danger of it however is its ability to assimilate ANY other machine into itself and transform it into a giant robot. It could turn an Imperial Dreadnought into a robot tough enough to blow up planets.
