Kamen Rider Raia / Miyuki Tezuka [Free - Conditional] - Assuming you didn’t immediately betray or murder him, the fortune teller you met is another odd exception to the rules in the Rider War. The original Kamen Rider Raia was his friend Yuichi Saito, a pianist who was offered to join the War to gain a wish to fix his damaged hands from a mugging in his past, and restore his ability to play. However, when he discovered the true stakes of the War, he refused, leading to Shiro to have a Mirror Monster to kill him in retribution. Tezuka took the Advent Deck instead, vowing not to win the War for a wish, but to take revenge on Shiro and stop the Rider War entirely. He is not quite the idealist or pacifist that Shinji is, and is more than willing to fight to prove his point - just not the senseless violence that Shiro seems to desire.

He is, as you know by now, a fortune teller who has an almost supernatural ability to accurately divine the future. This is at odds with his personal philosophy, because he always encourages people to choose their own fate and destiny, to work hard against bad futures and fortunes instead of just succumbing. He approached you because he sensed your own destiny is undoubtedly a deciding factor in the Rider War...if you are ‘Blank’ or seek to end Shiro’s machinations in your own way, you may take Tezuka as an ally. He is unlikely to have interest in any other offer, however.

Well here's the thing: The rationale behind jumpmaking isn't that you HAVE to thrive in every single instance. It's just giving you a bunch of options that will let you survive and have a chance in the world for the majority of paths you take. If someone wants to challenge the final boss, it is not a requirement on my end to handhold you by giving you the options to win that fight. That is far from a common occurrence, the MC pretty much wrecks them, there's zero danger to the jumper. So why should I have to account for someone who's willingly going to stick their head in a nest of japanese hornets just because they want to prove something? By that point it's on them, not me.

Part of that was me wanting to balance each background with each other so it wasn't a OTB situation. Part of that was me dropping the ball out of paranoia. The environment thing was like Poseidon's and Hera's stuff yeah, but overall I didn't want a situation where people just go one build and see everything else as 'useless'.

I might go back and revise some of that once I clear some stuff off my plate.

Regen 5/fire means the enemy heals 5 points of damage per turn except their current HP restored this way won't exceed the amount of damage from fire they've previously taken

Got our shit collectively pushed in when playing Ghost Stories. Easiest setting but there were two new players so I decided not to show them full-retard tactics like shotgunning the sorcerer with the blue monk and resurecting him with the green one.

Then we played Imperial Settlers. I love that game. Played Japanese with two other people and barely won - had a disastrous first turn, no production buildings and one action building that gave wood. Second turn wasn't better and I only regained ballance after I got Mill (you gain 1 gold and one VP for each red building you build) in the fourth turn.

To be honest I still don't know how to play Japanese consistently - I just try to aim for high production and try to build as many buildings as possible with a couple of deals thrown along the way (especially if I got the feature card that gives VPs for deals)

Gonna play CoC for the first time with some pals Friday, decided to start with Deadlight since it seems to be mystery/fight for your life rather than rootin tootin stab n shootin.

Has anyone played Deadlight, and were there any twists or adjustments to the campaign you made that was enjoyable?

I made it as a introduction scenario to a major campaing(but we didn't play it through). So, the players got so spooked that they wouldn't even explore the surroundings, they basically skipped the Doctor's house. In the end, on of the players realized that light had a good effect against the deadlight, but he ran away with the last functioning car leaving the last party member behind. whom exploded a gas pump to kill it.


Anyone know similar ''survival horror'' scenarios? Also, what do you think about 7th ed? I like it more than the 6th but the Delta Green rules are quite nice.

I'd suggest going with 1:1800 or 1:2400 personally, the detail's worth the cost. Heard very good things about GHQ, but if you're outside the US shipping might be a deal-killer.

Most "Isekai" settings are based on Japanese MMOs. Isekai is basically a genre of escapism where an average joe gets transported FOR SOME REASON to a new world, usually also having them be super competent for other reasons to maximize escapism potential.

In more concrete terms. you run the setting like a lot of these shows do. Kono Suba is a parody of the genre, but does the world building surprisingly well, AND has a very good example of what you're looking for. Basically adventurers are pretty common, and they are all part of the adventurer's guild, who oversees quests and whatnot. Every adventurer gets a little card with their stats and skills on it, and as they gain experience they can put points into stuff using the guild.
You also have mundane people who don't adventure, because reasons. (usually because its more dangerous than being a dirt farmer)

It would most likely be really crazy. Also what I know the necrons existed in the Andromeda since there empire spand that far.

Can we get an aquatic space-faring species? They only inhabit planets with big masses of water, but their technology terraforming planets is so great that their main method of warfare is just creating massive storms and floods that drowns the whole planet and everything within it. They could use the giant masses of water floating in space (like in meteorites or in frozen planets) to get enough water to do so.
