"It was lanky, grey, had an elongated chin, black eyes, no genitals, and it came from the night sky! It was a bodak! I swear! It's a miracle its evil eyes didn't corrupt my soul! I got the jump on it! Here's its head!"
Someone in your setting has murdered a Grey that made first-contact with the planet. How will this affect your campaign?
What the fuck did you THINK bodaks were?

Greys tend to kill people with laser guns rather than death gazes
Hi, /tg/.
I'm normally a real ballbuster Tomb of Horrors type GM that is pretty murderous on the PC killing scale. My players know it and they're usually paranoid/optimized to deal with it.
I want to fuck with them for fun. In my next campaign, I want the BBEG to just literally be a depressed lich that wants to have a good time, so instead of a Dungeon, he made a FUNgeon.
What are some absurdly stupid things I can put in a fungeon? It has to be the least dangerous thing on earth. We're talking like ball pits, pizza parties, prizes.
Bonus points for being fantasy themed (ie, skeletons/zombies playing pop hits instead of an animatronic band)
Variation on oil spray trap: Skunk scent or paint
>>51820471
That's mean though and not fun or a prize.
Zombie bordello? I don't know man.

FAQ:
>What the fuck is this?
Somewhat a campaign of crack-infused free-form roleplay in the grim darkness of the far future.
>When do you guys make these threads?
Usually mondays at 4PM GMT, but they sometimes extend to Tuesdays if we got caught in the middle of something when the thread died and it was too late to make another one the same day.
>Can I join in?
Sure, just think of a character and have fun, you can find most info in 1d4chan albeit it's ussually a little bit out of date in comparison to where the threads are.
>Is there any requirement in character creation.
Not really, we've had Xeno infiltrators, Chaos infiltrators, Villains, Heroes, Normal Guardsmen, Crazed Guardsmen, Assassins, Psykers, Space Marines, Inquisitors, Squats... just think whathever and join the fun.
>Is it allowed to have more than a single character?
Yes as long as you don't use it to powerplay.
>So how you guys do the playan'?
We tend to use spoilers for OOC chat, but nothing is set in stone.
We tend to use greentexts for describing a character's actions, but again nothing is set in stone.
Use d20s for combat checks and d100s for other things you want to roll, higher Is better.
It's important to know that the regiment is now in the employ of a radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor, with influence from an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor and under the watch of an Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor. Yes we've been through a lot of shit.
>Why don't you guise move to quest?
We're not a quest that's why.

This trip is taking longer than I though, Daniels!
>the Captain of the Kasrkin assigned to Ron perks up
Daniels, I want to know how much longer this is going to be.
>Daniels nods
Sir, we're actually almost there. You said you wanted to 'surprise them', though, so we're approaching slowly.
>The Inquisitor plops his helmet on his head and laughs
Right, I did say that. Carry on then, I don't want to ruin it.
>Deckard is currently trying to lean onto a wall, failing to do so due to the fresh whip scars on his back
Agh...f-fucking bucket list
>Rita is counting the crowns she has
Hmmm...that will do, ho.
>She throws the Necron a bottle of milk
>Kane is walking towards the Wellesley estate
This will be interesting
>how can I play a LG character without being a no fun allowed asshole?
You can't. LG is, like CE, an alignment I ban for being disruptive. It simply does not work as a PC alignment.
LG is not "being a nice guy", it is a way of life that requires sacrifice and innate intolerance of all nongood alignments and unlawful behaviour. This includes neutral. A LG party member should uncompromisingly persecute Evil and actively criticize and attempt to elevate Neutral and Chaotic characters for they tacitly and actively rationalise and endorse non-good and non-lawful conduct.
Thus either a LG character is a hypocrite untrue to themselves, or invites PVP the moment someone lapses.
Your character "obeys the law"? I bet they still break bylaws. Your character is "a good person?" Have they ever unquestioningly accepted payment from the poor, judged someone unfairly, turned a blind eye to evil for the greater good or lied knowingly?
You aren't LG. You're TN, LN or NG. That's just how it is.

Would adapting Aetherborn's Drain Touch into a warlock invocation be necessarily too broken?
>>51817644
I succumbed to the meme, and it was horrible
>Warforged monk(kensai) 6
Seriously useless build. My AC doesn't matter and my attacks barely keep up with the gun-slinging artificer.
Doesn't help that the GM is building bullshit warlock/sorcerer builds with crazy fucking attack bonuses and quickened greater invisibility.
So why don't we have the Ultimate /tg/ PDF Torrent and instead use PDF threads for sharing?
I'm sure that using a torrent file to share the entire trove or needed segments of it that would be updated, say, monthly, would be better than using PDF threads where shit gets reposted over and over.
It would also provide much needed context, where PDFs could be sorted by categories - shit that is essential or recommended, and shit that is mostly superficial but good for inspiration.
>>51817460
because things that are most convenient for you personally are rarely so for groups of people
>>51817703
this
you can go away now OP
>>51817703
I'm just saying, there are more convenient content delivery systems than browsing in the thread, waiting for something interesting to appear.
For example, I have a /tg/ trove 70 gigs worth of .pdfs. I've read through about a half of them and I can give my opinion on whether said book is essential for understanding the system or the source subject or not. Why not let people who frequent /tg/ to express their opinion on what they think is an essential read? Hell, boards like /a/, /tv/, /lit/ - they all have at least some variation of the "recommended reading list". I think that combining such list with the actual torrent download would serve well in educating people on the subject of /tg/-games.
I mean, if no one does it I guess I'll do it on my own eventually and create a dedicated torrent myself to share with everyone, but it would be nice if there was a community around it and not just a single guy like me saying "hurr durr, this is the things I like and this is the things I don't like".

I've recently started a new character in Pathfinder who is an Aasimar Paladin, who's dedicated herself to Iomedae.
I've gotten a list of Iomedae's teachings/laws, and know her domains/attributes, but i'm having trouble getting out of the "angry policewomen" stage of my lawful-ness.
Any tips on how to play a pious, dedicated Paladin that isn't a constant kill-joy? The only thing I have at the moment is her secret weakness for entertainment such as the circus (backstory stuff).
>>51815089
You could make it more of a reluctance thing.
Like:
>oh, I joined the church of Iomedae from a young age because my older sister used up the whole family dowry
>it's alright but it's such a pain sometimes
>oh really? You're really going to commit this crime against her teachings in front of me? Fine, spread your arms and walk into my sword
>are we done yet?
>"angry policewomen" stage of my lawful-ness.
Alignment Law is the universal element of Order, opposite primordial Chaos.
Surely you can think of Orderly behaviors that aren't just blind obedience to mortal lawyers.
>>51815089
Captain Carrot from the Discworld books is a good example of what you might like to try. He's the epitome of lawful good, and lawful stupid a little, but his entire gimmick is being completely kind and just in a setting that is pragmatic as fuck.
You can be lawful and dedicated to your paladining religion, just play your character as kindly and generous but wont take no shit and give the asshole rogue a fair warning that justice is gonna smack their shit in if they keep being a jackass.
Any ideas of how to get into melee combat turn 1.
I want to see the look of my opponents face as I smash into fire warriors before they get a chance to glance my metal boxes to death.
I thought that the game was by design not be able to assault first turn. Otherwise I guess most armies would never be able to get shots in before crumbling to melee.
This is part of why sweeping assault in to assaults were removed as well.

Have you ever played a snakeperson, like a nagaji, vishkanya, ophiduan, sthein (legit naga!), or alafia (also a legit naga!)? What were they like? Were they cute? How did you roleplay them using their snake parts?

Are you playing a pokemon campaign or what?
I've been going through a CCG/TCG card binge and I stumbled upon several online card games and several digital versions of paper card games.
What are you guys opinions on the several card games released solely for PC/Mobile/etc?
Any one of these TCGs you actually like?
I played a bit of everything: SolForge, Infinity Wars, HEX, Duelyst, etc.
What do you guys think of the digital versions of the TCGs you guys play, like Magic Duels and the YGO online thing?
>>51813146
Duelyst is pretty much the kind of card games right now. Literally better than both ends of the scale: Hearthstone and MtG respectively.
>>51813282
I wouldn't say straight up better, but certainly unique and interesting enough to stand-out from all the others.
>>51813293
It certainly occupies its very own niche, which is more than other CCG/TCG games can say.
Hearthstone is way too casual to appeal to anyone who wants something more than braindead entertainment, and MtG has utterly shite pace and is way too caught up in superficial shit that shouldn't be related to the game itself.
Don't get me wrong, both games attract their own audiences and successful in their own right, but the niche of a "fast-paced - but not casual - game that does something new" was unoccupied for way too long.
