Take the vertical axis back out, and restore it to its original state: a division of teams in a cosmic war, instead of a lousy warning label for "it's what muh character would do" bullshit. Alignment is best when it's simple, and about who your allies are.

Oh nothing, it works just fine when people play actual characters that're consistent in what they do, or change but not suddenly and for good reason. It doesn't work when players act like they're playing Skyrim and can do whatever they want on a whim.

I wouldn't. I use it as is and it's just fine.

The problem is when you mix Objective and quantifiable forces (Law, Chaos, Good, Evil) with shades of grey modern human morality. It just doesn't work.

So I treat alignments like astrology: some label that everyone has, but is ultimately not indicative of how a person acts, or the moral system that guides their day to day activity.

Leandros was a dickbag and it's one of the few times I actually got really angry when dealing with a work of fiction.

I sincerely hope he was banished when he returned to Macragge, or at least left of his own accord and joined Deathwatch as a blackshield through the utter disdain his Brothers would have shown him.

I played Nieles Payne in a previous campaign. He's a wizard. Of this list there are 4 individuals with PC class levels.

Nieles Payne, and eldery level 9 wizard who still makes money through selling spell casting services in a major city + a shop that sells wands, potion, and scroll.

Uncles Rewilh Harparr and Hony Harparr are a Bounty Hunter Slayer and Sleuth Investigator. Both of them work as members of a mercenary company named The Ash Eaters. Both are level 7.

Gyles Harparr, the character's eldest brother is a Cloistered Cleric who joined the church when the character was very young. He now serves as a frontier priest, essentially sent by the church to deal with issues to the faithful on the edges of civilization. He is level 4.

>>51824035 The nature of the cult is essentially that they believe their god created humanity and that humanity is great and nearly perfect. Gods of other races, jealous of this creation and fearful that Humans would reign supreme, attacked and weakened the god of Man, keeping him from protecting them and crippling humanity. They now believe that they must oust non-humans from human lands and establish this faith throughout humankind, as the power of their worship will restore their god to power.

My plan is to have the cult focus mostly on raiding villages of Kingdom B, taking civilians, forcing them to convert, brainwashing or killing resisters. The secondary goal is to bait Kingdom B into attacking Kingdom A. Kingdom A believes that it can win such a war, and the king is a member of this cult and makes no genuine efforts to stop it. Nearby Kingdom C is heavily non-interventionalist, and so A believes that he is playing the long game, and can conquer them eventually after B. Naturally, a group of adventurers would seek to stop this, if not just because the cultists they encounter are real dicks.

Regardless of whether or not this cult's story of their god is real, the true faithful seem to see certain dread boons. They grow in stature, and become sometimes obscenely difficult to kill. There are stories circulating that even if you manage to fell a champion, their priests will resurrect him, the warrior becoming more like an automaton with every rising. This is seen as the greatest sacrifice for the faith, giving up your own humanity that salvation might be spread to the others.

So, any cult stories?

Tyranids should work on their own though without needing a 1.5 patch.

I think all the need is a boost to WS + BS across the board with the exception of some Troop choices, and then some Elites need a better save.

Knowing GW they'll stay the same and they'll get a formation that needs 90 gaunts and 5 Canifex's to make them workable.

Fixes for the lore, and adding special characters, we introduce Gathering Storm: Splintering of the Hive Mind:
