She was an Elf supremacist before they revamped her into being an elemental mage.

Really her Elf supremacist bent was pretty lame anyway "Oh, watch out! She's DABBLING in black mana!" It reeks of some of their lazy creative holdover of making black a crutch for expressing villainy.
It seemed the only decent reason for doing so was because some of the lorwyn elves were black, but then they turned white in Shadowmoor anyway so even that is pretty stupid.

Her card sucked, Elf tribal is narrow and easily boring, and for reference the Nissa's Chosen it references is an Elvish Warrior that tucks itself on death. A little interesting but ultimately bland.Though she would probably fuck pretty good, that uppity cunt.

Meanwhile new Nissa is here to stay, has more useful general design space (land support, life gain, regrowth effects etc) and would probably be more fun to sexually dominate anyway.

Tell us about Your Dudes. We can argue and speculate on Age of the Emperor all we want, in the end it's all about Your Dudes! Tell us of their heroic deeds, their battle-colours, their heroes. What inspired you to create this army of legend?

gave up 40k in 5th ed, but came back after watching a youtube batrep last october featuring the genestealer cults. dug the whole "space hillbilly kissing cousins" vibe, so decided to start my own cult - the McCoy Boys. bought a broodlord for a patriarch - Pa McCoy - and converted an old kasrkin sergeant into a magus named Randall McCoy, Pa's brother/ cousin. proxied everything else using grey knights and space wolves.
Pa is currently on time out after failing to kill any storm guardians in five rounds of combat. Randall meanwhile has consistently been the single deadliest model in the army thanks to Mind Control. i'm currently busy making moulds for my inbred neophytes, metamorphs and acolytes so when robot guillotine is released, i can tarpit and rend him to death with space moonshiners

a chapter with a lot of blanks and are aligned with the ecclesiarchy

had lots of chaplains. little to know librarians since the few they get die off plus it sucks being around blanks. librarians that they do sometimes jave get sent to the death watch or do other chapter duties like divination instead of going on missions

has control of a star system because why not and fuck the ultras get like a whole subsector or something

focus on being generalists like the nova marines (or maybe the mariens errant)

non codex 2nd founding chapter and are similar to dangles in aesthetics

decended from SECRET primarch because bl made them all mental case faggots anyway and if you never say your primarch gw will never be able to ruin them

Skeleton War Mammoth Edition

>What is /awg/?
A thread to talk about minis and games which fall between the cracks. /hwg/ doesn't entertain fantasy (for good reason) and the other threads are locked to very specific games, so this thread isn't tied to a game, or a genre, lets talk about fun wargames.

Any scale, any genre, any company, any minis. Skirmishers welcome. Rules designers welcome.

>Examples of games that qualify
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_miniature_wargames
Mighty Armies, Dragon Rampant, Of Gods and Mortals, Frostgrave, Hordes of the Things, Songs of Blades and Heroes, Freebooter's Fate, Dark Age and anything that doesn't necessarily have a dedicated thread (gorkamundheim).

Thought about it, but they've been out there a while and I may well want a couple casts of the skull. Also easier to work with resin if I want to shorten the legs down to Warhound length, slicing bone is not an exact science. Also going to have to greenstuff up some muscle and connective tissue, with cybernetics, and make a body. I have a few ideas.

I do have a spare leg, though. Looks like something ran off with leg #4.
Was thinking of removing the back part of the skull and having the roof of it be magnetised and removable, so I can make a cockpit with Princeps.

Can anyone provide a rules explanation? So Medusan Immortals can exchange bolters for chainswords, but isn't it pointless because of their boarding shields? Is it just a case of classic Forgeworld editing, or does BP+CS """technically""" not count when they restrict

>"models equipped with them cannot claim the extra attack for being armed with an additional close combat weapon"

Also, whaddya think of the /wip/ Immortals? I've yet to shade most of the metals, but I'm liking the armor so far. For basing the idea of Agrellan Badland with that cool toxic sludge thing Duncan did a few days back seems like a really good contrast, especially with the two shades of green wrapping it all together.

Can you give some examples of a critical miss for some mundane actions?

Lockpicking: as you fumble with your tools, with your ear next to the door, you slip and have the tools ram into your eardrum.

Critical miss only applies to combat rolls, specifically for this reason (being retarded that you could have a 5% chance of gravely injuring yourself every time you do some routine task).

Death's Shadow is a fine card. You have to work for it like Delver.

Were the Primordials and the Elemental Chaos the best things to come out of 4E in terms of new lore?
Did Wizards make the right choice of casting them off and going back to basics once they moved to 5E, or would you have preferred them to stick around?

I prefer the 4e cosmology in practical terms.

As weird and wonderful as the whole planescape thing was, it was also kinda awkward to actually use. A lot of planes only existed for pattern completion purposes and some had a lot more stuff to do than others.

Boiling it all down to locations you can actually go adventuring in, consolidating all the cool stuff into a relatively smaller area makes perfect sense for actually giving GMs and PCs places to go and things to do.
>>
>>51892250
this.
I own a lot of DnD books, but I have no idea what half of the planes are even supposed to be like.
Combining them all made everything so much more simple.

Out-of-the-box, as-written, yes, 4e's cosmology is much better for actual adventuring (especially with all of the lore concentrated in the Plane Above and Plane Below books).

2e Planescape and 3.X's Great Wheel, by comparison, have many planes that suffer from lazy writing (e.g. Bytopia, Arcadia, Limbo) and/or a whole lot of emptiness (e.g. the Positive Energy Plane).

I do think that 2e Planescape/the 3.X Great Wheel is the better setting for expanding and interconnecting the lore on your own (you can even use the vaati-obyrith war as a stand-in for the Dawn War), but that is plenty of work, and I can understand if many people would prefer the more adventure-friendly-by-default 4e World Axis.

What I dislike is how D&D 5e's cosmology opted to use nearly all of the planes from the 2e/3.X cosmology and the 4e cosmology. There is simply too much overlap and redundancy when you have both the Deep Ethereal AND the Elemental Chaos, or the Feywild AND the Positive Plane, or the Shadowfell AND the Negative Plane. And if the Positive and Negative were never meant to be adventured in, then why do positive/radiant and negative/necrotic energy even need their own dedicated planes from a meta perspective?

This is coming from the person who creates the Planescape General threads: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EC4fQ7qW0dNveXRDD2UZsB2NXbyIpEm-jCtTjwBQH3I/edit

>dwarves, elves, orcs, etc were all created before humans
>humans were introduced as part of some vague accident or artificial introduction
>like an invasive species, they took well to fantasyland and ended up becoming a fairly dominant race

He's an individualist devoid of morals, plain and not-so-simple.

He's all about satisfying his urges, sating his lusts, and no means are too foul to reach the ends. If getting high means deep frying a baby in a wok, he'll fucking do it without hesitation. He can play nice if he has to, but the second there's an opening he'll take it. Chances are, Mister CE has trouble controlling his temper but that doesn't mean he's a cackling villain out to chew ass and kick gum. Selfishness without restraint, really, with discipline somewhat lacking in some ways but not others.
