Hi /tg/, I need all the feedback I can get on my descriptions of the varied groups in my !notEurope setting. Its a lot of words so each different group description (will be 7 or 8) will be its own post.
Are the descriptions to predictable? Are the groups too derivative? Is it all too stereotypical or offensive? Unbelievable? Is my writing bad? Please let me know what I can do to make it better.
>my map image will give you an idea of where the different groups are roughly situated. Cass-Duhr and Aulkoris are dwarfish and elfish nations, respectfully.

Brecian – a minority group of Espius and Zelkand, and the majority in the small nation of Brecia. A small but notably shrewd and opulent group, the nation of Brecia itself is almost an aristocratic enclave of sorts. Brecians tend to be master politickers and consider winning the hard-earned trust of other powerful people.
• Society Level: 5 (Late Feudal)
• Stereotypes: Insular but wealthy – lords, traders, businessmen, socialites, courtiers
• PHB Analogs: None
• Real world analogs: Balkan, Greek
• Native Tongue: Espusian
>>51976443
Espusian – majority ethnicity of Espius. They are a well-civilized people with a storied, well-recorded history, and a visible appreciation for arts and craftsmanship of all kinds, revering beauty in many forms. While they show an heir of sophistication, they have a reputation of being passionate, expressive, spontaneous extroverts with fiery tempers.
• Society Level: 6 (Modernistic)
• Stereotype: Impulsive but cultured – merchants, artisans, explorers, privateers
• PHB Analogs: None
• Real world analogs: Iberian, Italian
• Native Tongue: Espusian
Harther – the proprietary culture and majority ethnicity of the Harthese Empire. Their cultural identity and sensibilities are largely informed by a tempering of both elfish and dwarfish influences. They are known to be very orderly and community-minded, but are a diverse group nonetheless.
Harthers tend to live in the most technologically sophisticated human society. The establishment and growth of their Empire has lead their government’s nationalism and jingoism to rub off on many of them, but it has also lead to them to become quite worldly. The majority of people in Ilcron have learned to speak their language due to their culture’s large sphere of influence.
• Society Level: 6 (Modernistic)
• Stereotype: Hawkish but conscientious – soldiers, politicians, academics, settlers
• PHB Analogs: Chondathan
• Real world analogs: Briton, Germanic
• Native Tongue: “Imperial Common” (Harthese)

D&D is already loved by normies.

>GW appears to be normalizing the design restrictions of the two-part plastic mold by intentionally leaving out rivets, creating a motif reproducible across every axis of the mold.
They've been doing this with the meltagun since they standardized its design.

No OP, but it generally goes like this:
1. It has a fleshed out, visible reference in the games.
2. It allows you to explore the universe of the games without having to be Space Jesus/Space Dredd.
3. Provides a entry point to sci-fi settings that are mostly or exclusively on paper/book/tabletop form.
So I'm about to join a 5e dnd campaign. Not too familiar as I've mostly played WOD.
I want to build a speedster acrobat greatsword user. Is this possible? I've heard fighter is my best bet.
Tumble/Overrun rules are in DMD 272. Fighter, paladin and ranger are all good choices for what you want to do. If you want paladin, battlemaster is the better option.
>>51971805
As for speed, elves and tabaxi start with bigger speed than normal, there's also a feat for increasing your speed.
>>51971805
I think l want Paladin but what is the battlemaster?
I appreciate the stats but I'll probably choose a human. Not a big fan of elves or catmen.
So I'm a 40k newfag, and today was my 4'th game. My Chaos vs his Eldar. If I could ask for a rules clarification: He deployed his Wraithguard next to a Promethium pipe, and because of that his WG were shooting D-Scythes with Torrent, creating a 25" bubble of fuck you that killed my termie warlord in the first turn. Was this legal? They use the flamer template, and the rules say any flamer weapon gets the torrent rule from it, but it seemed really fucking OP. Is this just bad rules from GW again, or was I being rused? Probably not going to play that guy again either way, he seems way too focussed on winning rather than just having fun. Thanks in advance, pic semi-related.
>>51971019
Any FLAMER. Not template weapon. D-sycthes aren't classified as flamers or else Salamanders would get a FnP from it.
So yeah, he cheated your ass because he's a dirty Eldar player.
>>51971065
This. There are a few template weapons where it was at least arguable whether they're flamers or not (baleflamers for example). D-Scythes are not one of them.

I don't know if I should bring up complaints about a game to the GM.
No one seems to have any complaints but me and had a lot of fun that session. I'm also pretty nitpicky at times so I don't even know if my complaints are even legitimate.
I brought up some of my complaints to the players and they don't seem to care since most of the things I have to complain about benefited us. I doubt he's going to change much since only 1 out of 5 players has these complaints so I might just be a waste of time.
Any advice?

This reminds me. Has that dating a goddess cyoa been updated yet?
How active do you like gods in your world? Is there a way to reconcile divine beings being active without coming off like a literal deus ex machina?
>>51967307
In my setting the gods can only interact with the world by using their clerics as conduits for their divine will. That's why they try to get more worshippers (the more worshippers you have the more of them will become clerics and thus the more power you can exert upon the world). I like it because it gives the cleric meaning in a world that genuinely experiences divine intervention on a constant basis.
They can also manifest as avatars but this means that while they control their avatar they can no longer provide spells to their clerics so if they are a popular deity it's unwise to manifest except in the most dire circumstances. Many minor deities may spend most of their time as avatars however since they have less clerics and less requests for spells.
>>51967307
Use chosen ones as in gods can only appoint one of his clergy as his chosen at a time and if those people die, he have to wait for a long while (years etc.) before he can do it again.
The chosen get more powerful stats and skillset associated with the god as long the god like him but is still vulnerable to being killed.
This make chosens more likely to take risks and tasks to do their gods' wishes, which also led them to clash with various factions and other religions.
>>51968532
To add, make their gods feel like classical gods in Greek and Old Testament rather than the modern bullshit where all the Gods are perfect, can only be one and can never be wrong (which is the fanatic and boring viewpoint) .
