Super broadheads, making the chance of hitting a bone higher and increasing force of impact to forcibly damage/dismantle the skeleton.

Skeletons have DR5 / bludgeoning
>>55146643
Blunt force trauma.
Arrows that actually do make contact with the skeleton will still do quite a bit of damage to bones, shattering skulls and destroying limbs.
It's not an ideal weapon, but it's not COMPLETELY ineffective either.
I'm looking for items that would encompass the idea of the 8 magic schools and the 8 sins that would accompany them:
Abjuration=envy
Necromancy=gluttony
Transmutation=greed
Enchantment=lust
Illusion=Vainglory
Conjuration=sloth
Evocation=wrath
Divination=pride
Philosopher's stone is a pretty easy one for transmutation and greed, but what others could I make with this list?
>>55146556
>Obligatory "the eight schools of magic are not balanced against one another"
>>55146556
Uh... Look up the runelords a la Pathfinder?
>>55146689
I did use the Thassilonian magic as a basis for it, but I am more looking for magical items that would represent both the idea of School of magic and its respective sin.
What is the best collectible card game to get into these days? Nothing too expensive please.
Pokemon if you want a game not based around buying the best cards.
>>55146597
That summary actually makes it sound like what I am looking for. I guess I will fuck off to /vp/ and see what is meta.
>>55146533
L5R is restarting soon, so the buy in is cheap and the meta is open.
It's a boardgame, with special dice, FML

"As well as the underhive style of play covered by the boxed set, there will also be ways to play Necromunda with the multi-level skirmishes that defined the classic version of the game. These work great on tables using the Sector Mechanicus terrain sets released earlier this year (great news for anyone who built a Shadow War Armageddon board)."
Fuck off.

Do you like Gnomes? Do you feature them much in your games, or do they get bogged down among other shorty races? Do they have a good, thematic place in your universe, or are they mostly a mechanical choice that provides some superficial flavoring?
>>55145652
Little druid fucks of the forest. My gnomes are tiny smuf things. But that's because I grew up with a gnome nature walk nearby as a child.
It's understood in my games that gnomes are dwarves. Whichever name you use says more about you than them.
>>55145652
No feelings either way. None of my players have ever chosen Gnome.
So how does your girlfriend feel about your love of tabletop?

>>55145623
Mine's older brothers used to play MTG and she's a huge tolkein fan so my RPG obsession isn't really seen as that weird to her.
I think she's just glad I'm not into Warhammer, MTG, or anything else that involves actually going to game stores and being around a bunch of insufferable weirdos.
She makes us snacks and then leaves us alone while we play while she watches Netflix. Good shit.
Hey /tg/, you're good at world building right?
What do think the world of My Hero Academia is like outside of Japan?
>>55145442
Every country has legalized gay marriage.
>>55145442
A lot less formalized super heroing and super villaining and a lot more regular people using their powers in day to day life. Other governments lacked the influences of All for One manipulating the Hero system into an obviously biased power structure, so the rest of the world more resembles something like X-Men.
>>55145442
America would make their academia be more like Military Schools, with even Officer schools with their heroes. I think some of them might go to police work.
What's your next move?

New player here. How can I make better characters?
>>55145627
Interesting characters are all about internal conflict, flaws, and quirks. Think about the different combinations you can form out of personality traits and the potential history of your character. As a starting point, I like to pair a race and class that seem mismatched (eg. Gnome paladin, Drow cleric). Come up with a story on why a member of that race would pursue such an unusual path, and top it off with personality quirks that make sense.

Finished my 3rd model, next up is the guy with the nade launcher and I'll post him when I'm done.
I've never highlighted gold before, my first attempt to just drybrush retributor gold over the heavily washed coat failed because metal paints are thin... so I mixed a bit of white scar into the gold and it seemed to work. Let me know how it looks.
Squig Bomb Konversionz!
In a tabletop game, should there be a point where PC's just never fail or attacks become auto-kills?
Like if you were playing a Level 20 character in D&D, should there be a point where the game basically stops requiring dice rolls because nothing in the game can reasonably challenge you anymore (outside of GM fiat or some shit)?
It seems like there's not much point playing the game at that point. Of course, I don't see much point in playing D&D anywhere near 20th level either, so maybe I'm biased. I could see getting to a point where you automatically succeed at normal, mortal shit, as long as you are still challenged by incredible, mythic shit that you regularly encounter.

>Like if you were playing a Level 20 character in D&D, should there be a point where the game basically stops requiring dice rolls because nothing in the game can reasonably challenge you anymore (outside of GM fiat or some shit)?
Uh, sure I guess? I've GMed for high level campaigns. I let them level whole armies without any rolls because using the rules, they would have 5% chance not to instagib soldiers and the soldiers would have 5% chance to slightly scratch them.
But that's only for the lowly enemies. When the Ancient Great Wyrm Brown Dragon arrives, you better have good stats and rolls if you want to survive.
