Give me one good reason your current game shouldn't have a hot springs episode
Because I'm the only member of my group who has actually been to a hot spring, and all of my group only knows them from anime, and therefore associates them with fanservice rather than blissful relaxation. Our expectations would be too different for it to work. That and it would make me sad, because I miss hot springs and bath houses with all my soul.
Because it already did. The players started a business and handed it off to an NPC until they return.
>>52068210
Because it is not an anime where pandering to shut-ins is a primary goal.
They key to understanding D&D is that the best gameplay occurs when you ignore the rules.
>>52068202
If a game is better when you ignore the rules, then it's a shitty fucking game.
In a well designed game, the rules enhance the experience, being there to support the GM and group when necessary and not getting in the way when they aren't needed.
>>52068202
Really? You're trying this again? After you got BTFO so hard last time and the time before that?
Fuck off, you retarded troll. Your bait is weak, and your spamming is sad and pathetic.
>>52068202
Since the first time I read one of the rule books. But nobody else ever wants to play the games I want to play so I kind of have to deal with it. I have to accept that non-D&D systems and campaign don't actually exist and they're just fantasies I need to forget about. I can still enjoy myself playing D&D if I'm with the right players or playing with friends.

For the best Legion
>>52068216
You stink!
Which legion would you want to be apart of, assuming you pass all the tests, trials, and don't fuck off to die in?
So we found a kidnapped princess, she was turned into a (large) dog. "She was always a bitch!" We laugh. All pretty normal at first.
But soon the ranger decides to replace her animal companion (some horse she never even bothered to name) with the princess. Very recently it became clear that the two are in a romantic relationship.
Is it still wrong if they aren't having sex? (We hope they aren't at least) I can't decide if it's fucking disgusting or adorable... Like, she's human, but at the same time, we've known her as our dog for half a campaign, and as a person for all of 5 minutes.
Would your answer change if I told you the DM has said there's no cure?
>>52068109
Eh. I don't see how it's a big deal so long as nobody is describing bestiality in any detail. Its not like it's not an old and tired trope. That's basically just Beowulf and Reis in FFT, except Reis was a dragon.
>>52068152
This, look up half the world's mythology and you'll find furrier shit.
For example, Zeus took the form of a bull and kidnapped + sexed a girl one time.
Fun fact, back in the day, "rape" didn't necessarily mean "forced sex," but "kidnapping/theft." So the story is called "the Rape of Europa" even though Europa was willing-ish. Well, depends on the version of the story.
>>52068109
Eh.
Something, something, furfaggotry.
I would not give a shit at all. Don't drag in details, and you good. It's to be expected that at some point, they go for baby. At this point, you literally say fade to black, and it's good.
Just discuss it with the player beforehand.
What does /tg/ Think of Darklands, or Mierce Miniatures?
Has anyone played the game? I just stumbled across their site while looking for new minis.
I think the minis look pretty good, and the game seems to be set in fantasy 6th century Europe, with a combination of weird name spellings and medieval name spellings.
Had to look up a lot of the names to realize what they were supposed to be, but once I did that, it seems pretty neat.
Is it fun? What does /tg/ think of the minis? What does /tg/ think of the setting?
>>52067871
They make cool looking monsters. That is the extent of my knowledge about them.
>>52067871
Anybody have a decent alternative source for the core book?
I'd like it in PDF, before I decide to get a hardcopy.
I can find a hardcopy, but I'm hesitant to sent ~$100 + shipping from england for the rulebook for a wargame I may not even end up liking.
They are really shady business-wise but their figures are well reviewed and established, if expensive. They have a lot in the way of Kickstarters so you should hop onto one of those.
I like them personally as they actually have fantasy Byzantines.
/tg/, you've pissed off a witch, and she cursed your next game! During your next campaign, you'll have to tolerate an insufferable "that's what my character would do!" asshole. However, you get a choice which.
> A no fun allowed, stick-in-the-mud, "My word is law" paladin, who fancies himself the party leader
> A dick-ass chaotic evil, questgiver stabbing rogue, who steals from the party.
You can't kick him out, and you can't quit either. If his character dies, he creates a second character which is basically his first one with minimal differences.
Wat do?
He gets the Paladin, I make the slipperiest hardest to catch most gigantic asshole of a bard, I can't kick him out, but I can annoy him enough to leave.
>>52067778
Well, at least this means I'll finally have a game to play
*sob*
>>52067778
The Paladin far less disruptive and something I can more easily work with as a DM. They're a known factor I can manipulate and have fun with and that's basically one of my other players anyway.

This is the most busted card I've ever seen
How long you been playing Magic for, friend?
>>52067498
Let's see here.
>+1
Acceptable if your enemy has a creature that's ruining your board but it's not that good.
>-1
Card draw is nice.
>-7
Opponents-only Static Orb on an emblem is fancy, but with only a +1 and 3 starting loyalty, means you have to have Dovin out for five straight turns without losing a counter? Unfeasible. Not worth thinking about.
>>52067498
This is the tinest card I've ever seen.
What are some good /tg/ related movies? I'm in the mood for a good fantasy but realized I haven't really heard of any outside of the standard LotR and Harry Potter series. Any suggestions?

>>52067302
Blade Runner.
I had an idea for a superhero setting where people swap powers if they haveconsensualsex.
When it comes to normals, they'll get the super's powers and the super will lose theirs. And if they do it again it would switch back.
Anyway, the point of this was not to amuse myself while fapping, but I thought it could be an interesting way to mash up romance and supers. Intimacy would become something very relevant to the 'punch baddies' portion of the game, and there'd be weird subplots when it came to switching out power sets.
'No honey I NEED to take Destructo as my lover so I can use Destructo's power to stop Dr. Dread's killer robot!'
'Mr. Marvelous, I'm calling to tell you that those girls you keep swapping powers with have found out about each other. They don't seem pleased to hear your weren't exclusive after all.'
'My Ex won't give my powers back!!!'
And so on. I feel like it could spice up Secret Identity scenes and make noncombat more interesting.
This sound like something that you would play? Or at least throw ideas for into the thread? I'm going at this from a comedy/drama angle not an ERP angle.
>>52067300
Your fetishes are showing. I do not share them. I admit it's at least a concept I haven't seen before.
>>52067330
Thank you for specifying consensual.
>>52067300
Imagine all the normals just trying to sleep with supers just to steal their powers and ditch them. The betrayal would be real.
I'm looking for a nice planet generator for use in space exploration RPGs, mainly 40k. One of the RT expansions has one I've been using, but I'd like a table or system with more detail if you can think of any good examples. Thanks
>>52066533
GURPS Space has a couple of chapters on generation of star systems, planets, and the cultures and installations thereon. Traveller usually has a system for doing the same in the core book of whatever edition.
Stars Without Number is pretty good in that respect. It has random tables for just about everything. The system itself is kind of eh.
>>52066602
>>52066585
Thanks, I'll be checking these out. The system itself isn't so important. I just like random generation tables!
Did the infect and Dredge players from your local meta move on? I'm honestly surprised Death's Shadow didn't get hit harder than infect honestly.
Realistically do you think the meta would be better with Twin? Is there anything else that can make Blue decks actually competitive outside twin? Do you see Modern getting a decent Cantrip within the next year?
What do you guys think of the decks climbing up? A few of the big movers in the last 2 weeks are Merfolk, Abzan Coco/ Evolution Kiki chord shit, Storm, and UW Control surprisingly. Do you think any of these decks will continue this trend?
Do you expect anything from Amonkhet?

Great contribution to the new thread, thank you so much for your input.
>>52066213
I played against LSV during Eldrazi Winter, he's such a good honest dude, fucking real pleasure playing against him.
My LGS still allows Twin on casual weekend. I can honestly say that the meta is more diverse and fun. Dredge is still there, but only because a couple people can't afford anything new.
>>52066255
Nice blog post, lad.
Should they exist in 40k? In power or chain variant?
The Triskele is of course excluded.
>>52065811
>Should they exist in 40k? In power or chain variant?
Chainarangs for chaos, Powerrangs for high-class users
>>52065811
Well with guns being waaaaaaaay more effective, no they should not exist.
Heck, I don't think these things even got employed viably in real life militaries from now and the past.
>>52067676
Fair enough. Eldar aside I can see why it would be passed on by some of the other race, but I can't say chainarangs don't sound like a slaaneshi wet dream when it comes to unusual weapons.
>The Round Table is King Arthur's famed table in the Arthurian legend, around which he and his Knights congregate.
>As its name suggests, it has no head, implying that everyone who sits there has equal status.
I mean, sure, yeah, but the King still has a seat, right?
Then surely the seat to his direct right has much more status attached to it than any other seat.
And even if the King changes seats every time they sit, the position to his right is still the seat of greater status, no?
>>52065808
>no love for left chair
>>52065808
It's the principle of the thing. You can't ever entirely avoid hierarchy, but structurally it's a lot less obvious with a round table than with a more conventional one.
>>52065834
Of course not, that's nearest to the left hand, the shit-wiping hand
Why do you guys think this was the only one of the future sight lands to get it's own full cycle?
Horizon Canopy I totally understand. We really don't need more of those running around in every two color-combination.
A similar argument could be made for Grove of the Burnwillows but it's not as strong.
But I see no reason why wizards hasn't done completed cycles of River of Tears and Nimbus Maze.
>>52065028
Because it was a flash forward to Lorwyn, the set many of the Future Shifted Cards that actually got printed are from.
That's it. The cycle was already finished by the time we saw this card, it just took a while to get released.
>>52065028
Graven Cairns was likely designed as a real land ahead of time because Lorwyn was being released next.
The issues with Grove of The Burnwillows and Horizon Canopy is that they can be easily ridiculous in a whole bunch of colours, so they gave them to the colours that are least likely to utilize them. Even if they're not overpowered, they're mechanics you don't want on more than a single card.
The other two were just garbage mechanics, River of Tears isn't as bad as Nimbus Maze, but they're still not worth it over just printing a new and better cycle, or reprinting and old better cycle.
>>52065028
I think MARO said he wanted to complete all the cycles from time spiral before he retires.
