>fencers
Crane, but the Dragon give them a very good run for their money.
>Soldiers
All-around, Lion, but the Crab are the toughest and the Unicorn have the best cavalry.
>Polite
Crane.
>Titfuck
Judging from >>52129681 I'm going to guess Unicorn.
>>
>>52129713
Pfft. Obviously the Crab give the best paizuri. They like their women big for baby-making, so that means bigger hips and bigger tits.
I mean, she probably won't bathe too much and she'll be rude as fuck and swear like a sailor and drink like a fish, but her titfucks will be pretty good.

When basing a game off of a series, or any other piece of media really, you have to answer one question.

>Is there anything to do in the setting outside of the main plot?

SCENARIO: You're playing your weekly game when the DM introduces a group of 6 mercenaries who want to rape your character. He says their names are Sparkle, Dash, Jack, Rare, Shy and Diane. He's got the biggest shiteating grin on his face. How do you react?

I rediscovered this game last night and man its fun, but the guy working on it left it in a really buggy state.

I think instead of making crappy mobile games, GW should get a dev to work on a Warhammer grand strategy game, similar to Civ or CK2.

There's already an excellent Warhammer Fantasy mod for CK2 which is better than 90% of licensed GW games.

A lot of games based on Chinese Cartoons used that fucked up size. I remember seeing the Full Metal Alchemist and Inu-Yasha games using it.

Also FFG has a bunch of different sized sleeves for use with their board and card games.

I personally like the smaller card sizes in the games that use them.

When you ask this question, you are probably metagaming. People who do not meta err on the side of caution regardless of if what they have in mind is metagaming. By definition you are metagaming because you want to know who far you can go before you are accused.

In your setting, how does making trades with demons, devils, and other kinds of a nasty things work?
What kinds of benefits can it bring, and what's the price?
Is it like a contract where one party is hired by the other to do various jobs for an amount of time, or is it like a transaction where each party gives something to the other in a single transfer before parting ways?

In my setting beings from advanced societies govern their interactions with more primitive groups on the basis of strict regulations that enshrine the concept of informed consent, while attempting to accommodate the stark differences in education and frame of reference that such cross-cultural exchanges typically entail.

In a Class A interaction, an individual or group of primitives may explicitly place themselves under the authority of a more advanced entity in exchange for protection, provender, and guidance. The entity in question assumes a role similar to that of "in loco parentis", with the legal authority to assist, and even punish, the lower being(s) in question.

In a Class D interaction, an individual or group of primitives may trade goods and-or services with a more advanced entity on the basis of an explicit written or oral contract. Said entity must provide full disclosure to their primitive trading partners that this interaction may have unforeseen consequences and could corrupt their development as individuals and-or as a society.

Finally, an individual or group of primitives may request goods and-or services from a more advanced entity via an explicit written or oral statement. The entity in question may fulfill no more than three such requests from any particular party, and must conform their actions to the explicit request without regard to their understanding of the intent or best interests of the primitive party.

This final standard of action is known colloquially as "The Jinn Protocol"

House on the hill anyone?

Just recently got this game after a friend recommended it to me, having a lot of fun with it, but still haven't got the expansion.

What are /tg/'s thoughts on it?

Don't like it.
>>
>>52122298
What about it do you not like?
>>
>>52122224
It's admittedly kinda random in terms of game mechanics - there's not much you can really do to control outcomes as you explore the house. Sure, different characters are good at different things, but you have no way of knowing if the room you're about to walk into will test you strength, sanity, etc.

Basically you walk through the house, uncovering random rooms, being subjected to random events, and uncovering random items. At some point a random haunt is triggered and a random player becomes the traitor. All these things adhere to a loose algorithm, but you can't really manipulate it or anticipate it. The most players can do to influence the game is decide how they're going to work together once they've revealed the haunt - and while this is important, it is completely at the mercy of dice rolls and what state the players are in when the haunt begins.

Despite all this, I like it a lot. The game oozes atmosphere and tells a different story everytime you play it. It's a good game for a relaxed night with a couple of friends. Play some spooky music. Have a few drinks. It's the very fucking definition of ameritrash when it comes to board games, but I've always had a great time with it. You definitely need the right setting and the right group, though.

Alright /tg/, I need help, I need to buy a new audio book because I'm about to go on vacation and need it on the plane. I need a suggestion!

>Dune (the sequels were BAD, right?)
>The Forever War
>Mistborn Trilogy (I've had too much Sanderson)
>Discworld (Would want to continue the Watch series but audible doesn't have after Feet of Clay)
>Hyperion
>Neuromancer
>The Coming of Conan the Cimerean
>The Black Company
>Stormlight Series (third book when)
>Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
>Foundation series

I also tried the Malazan series but holy shit, I just couldn't.

Pic unrelated

The Broken Empire trilogy is pretty great if you want some low-fantasy stuff or you could get started on The Expanse or The Lost Fleet for some pretty nice "realistic-ish" sci-fi.
>>
Dune! Top of the list.

Neuromancer, if you like cyberpunk. Will also lead into sprawl trilogy.

Neal Stevenson's snow crash or the diamond age.

Joe Abercrombies the blade itself, for dark fantasy.

You've been asked to weigh in on a matter in an elven court.

An elf has asked for permission to perform a prohibited ritual, to cut his own remaining lifespan in half in order to extend his human wife's lifespan by that many years.

The elven archmage, a venerable elven woman and respected community figure, has argued against permitting the ritual. Her main argument is that it is excessive meddling with the natural order and that humans were not meant to live much longer than a century, with them tending to veer towards madness whenever they live beyond their natural lifespans. She mentions a number of examples, including many terrible villains that have threatened the land. She also says it sets a terrible precedent, with humans potentially courting elves just to extend their lifespans, or potentially worse if news of this forbidden ritual was spread. Magic of this nature must be used sparingly and only with great reason, and she believes this case is far more likely to hurt the community than it is to help it.

Though the elf and his wife are pleading that their motives are pure and that all they want is to be able to be together, the court seems to be split on the issue, and have asked you to offer some insight on the matter.

Do you argue for or against the couple?
129 posts and 11 images submitted.
>>
>>52120639
Well, like all things...

It depends on the setting.

But given the info we have, I'd argue that the ritual can be carried out after it is proven to the court beyond reasonable doubt that the couple's motives are pure.

Most likely by some kind of magic detection spell.
>>
>>52120639
Elves don't really discriminate against Half-elves, following their Ecology, and there are only a few Elven purity fringe groups mention in D&D lore.

But, to shut that faggot up, call the Baelnorm to the stand, to see it's opinion on the matter.

Also, please point out that ELVES GO THROUGH THE EXACT SAME KIND OF NUTJOB SHIT IN THEIR ELDER YEARS Some start to do very weird shit by elderly elf age status, as they have these languid century long depressions they sometimes go through, often involving fucking shit like suicide, depressive poetry, and general slow-stuffs.

Also, bring up the question of WHY the ritual is prohibied, have there been fuckups?
>>
>>52120639
I argue for the couple, and explain to the ring-leader of those who oppose such an act that I'll help pay for an assassin to kill off the human once he reaches the limits of what we agree to be a normal human lifespan.

I know it's not the greatest but FoW thread?
It's MtG little sister do you give her some love?
A new set just dropped today/yesterday and wanted to converse in which new ruler will be decent in the meta.
Got myself one of the new boxes and pulled this nice lady here and made a deck using cards from the box, it runs decently and is fairly interest to say the least.

Hows the games balance?
>>
>>52118991
I haven't gotten heavy into meta yet but I know since the lands, which in this one is stones, are in a separate deck then have additions that can be placed into the main deck that are nice to have but aren't heavily required to be competitive.
But back to the stone deck you tap every turn or don't with your ruler to draw a stone so you'll always have some form of mana to use so it gives a feeling of balance through that if I explained it properly.
Besides from that it's still pretty fresh and developing with different playstyles coming out each set.
>>
>>52118991
Quite swingy. Game has a lot of really strong, almost broken shit and equally powerful answers, so balance relies a lot on sideboarding hate to the powerful decks and reading the meta on a competitive level.
A new set just came out so it's to be seen how it evolves, but the last american GPs had at least 5 different decks in the Top 8.
And as >>52119099 said, the game is still quite new, with changes to existing card types, wording and such.

>>52118021
Pricia is probably going to be great in aggro decks, which already have all the good tools in her colours + a white or black splash.
