I am currently building into D&T but I'm worried that there will be too many D&T players in general once I'm done due to the fact that everything is off RL and eventually port will be reprinted. I don't want the influx to result in people metaing for D&T hard. Last 32 man legacy event I did I fought 2 D&T already so its worrying. What should I do /tg/?

I'd like to see some of the enablers come off the banned list personally.

Earthcraft would give enchantress pillow fort type decks a combo wincon, which might make the deck better than tier 4/5. Mindtwist is almost always going to be a worse Hymn in most decks with Nic Fit and big mana decks being the exception, so its probably fine.

Frantic Search, Hermit Druid

I'm always leery of free/cost reducing spell, they have been historically very broken (see delve). However I think almost no current decks would want Frantic Search with the exception of Spiral/Reset Tide. Hermite druid is a little more concerning as it's basically a one card combo. I could see it enabling a PSI style deck but would probably be about the same power level, so it should be safe in theory.

I've got a hard on for this card because of when I started playing MTG. It's just a blast to play with and using it optimally in a given deck is extremely difficult. However trading life for cards 1:1 is probably still too good for legacy and would lead to overpowered degenerate spell based combo decks. Same arguments apply to Bargain with the caveat that it's probably safer due to the 4BB casting cost.

'Realism' is a matter of preference. For some people, it's of great importance, other people do not give a flying fuck.

To answer OP's question, Riddle of Steel/Song of Swords and the various systems associated with it has seen a lot of praise for its detailed and authentic historical combat system.

Here's a shitty map that I drew for my DM. It just pushed it out in 5 minutes because it helped me organize my backstory better.

I just read tutorials on the internet and draw all of my maps. Some of them are decent, but fuck if they don't take forever to get done. Especially cities.

I think True Neutral is best for what your average normal person would be. Someone who doesn't really think about the greater good but won't just wantonly steal and kill. You get the people who are all about attaining cosmic balance and all but I think that's kinda missing the point. TN is someone who just... lives their lives.

As for how one goes in an adventuring team, it'd pretty much be because they have a personal stake in the quest. Killing the BBEG is risky, but they've decided taking that risk is better than standing idly as their home is steamrolled.

I think a TN human fighter is the most fun and interesting character for a story because of the simplicity of it. He has a goal, he has an interest, and he has to use the same tools any given person has to get to it.

The best example for this, IMHO, would be Bruce Willis in Die Hard. He's in a building. There are terrorists threatening his wife. He has combat training. What follows is simple but engaging, because anyone can understand his motivations and it's fun to watch him solve his problems in a creative manner, while being able to fall back on the old fashioned strategy of "Make things dead".

That is True Neutral done right.

Relegating an entire race to Evil Tyrant Faction is almost always cheap and gimmicky. Especially when that race is humans because then it just feels like the author is making some kind of ham-fisted statement (even if they're not).
