You're aware Pathfinder is a containment game for furries and weeaboos, right? If Paizo goes out of business, those degenerates will find other games to infest, and I would much rather not have them not pick my games of choice as their new cesspool.

hello /tg/
I'm gunna be starting a dnd 5e campaign with a bunch of friends, and the last time I played my character was a Minotaur Prince/Fighter, now I wanna go a little opposite.
can anyone give me some advice on building a Lawful Good Necromancer?
are Necromancers better as Wizards? Sorcerers? or Warlocks?or maybe even Clerics? since there isn't a Necromancer class built in and I'm no good at home-brewing a custom class
please and thankyou for any help
As far as I know wizards have crucial bonuses when they become necromancers so pick wizard. and depending on how many people are playing I would advise against playing necromancer because it may clog up a combat encounter with 6+ skeletons and 6+ party members but that entirely depends on the party comp and number (I would say 5 PCs is fine). I don't have much experience in Lawful good necromancer but some mindsets they may have is:
Once a soul leaves this body it becomes a resource, a tool to channel my virtuous intent.
Time makes skeletons of us all.
I'm not good with talking to the living, I'm far more comfortable around people I've resurrected.
>>52565258
Look for the Cleric Unearthed Arcana article on the DnD website or the 5e general. It's got a nicely spooky themed Grave cleric domain. It won't give bonuses to your undead like the Necromancer Wizard though.
If you want to make the strongest undead, then go Wizard. But yeah be careful not to bog down the game too often. Try to get a bag of holding and keep a dozen skeletons in there.

would I be aloud a ghost companion? like a familiar? or is that all just dependent if the DM lets me?
Yo, grea/tg/uys.
I'm trying to puzzle out a frog-people race for D&D homebrew, but I don't just wanna re-fluff the bullywugs or grippli. So I figured you guys might be able to lend a hand.
I've got a few ideas already, I'm just not sure how to expand on them.
Appearance-wise, they're based on the Costa Ricna Red-Eyed Tree Frog (pic attached). They are about 2/3 the height of a human, but their slightly hunched posture makes it more like 3/4 (so, roughly dwarf height). Darkvision, and racial bonuses in the form of advantage on swim and climb checks and 50% increase over baseline jump distance/height, but disadvantage on spot/search checks involving smell or hearing.
Their primary habitat is jungle/rainforest in nature, but with some preparation and equipment, they can manage to tough it out in unusually cold or dry locations like desert or mountain areas for a significant period of time with only minor complaints.
As a sort of "racial mount", they domesticated a species of pony-sized rhinoceros beetle, and their homes employ special bioluminescent fungi for nighttime lighting.
Any other ideas for them?
3/4 is bigger than 2/3. So their hunched posture is apparently making them taller

Yeah, I accidentally switched those two numbers around when writing this out. I'm on mobile, so didn't see the error before posting.
So... any suggestions, /tg/?
I'm running a dungeon where my players will instantly revive after they die (in a safe place if they die down an infinite pit or something), but have a limited number of lives.
What kind of entirely bullshit, no-fair traps should I put in it?
>>52561675
There's a large room entered by an open doorway, there's an altar in the middle and a seald door in the far end. The altar has three buttons and a talking statue. The statue gives a simple logical puzzle (just find one on the internet) supposedly to work out which button you should press to open the sealed door at the far end. Actually all the buttons will disintegrate anyone pressing them. The door was never really sealed in the first place, and is in fact easily opened.
A merchant selling a knife that, so he claims, allows the user to gain three bonus lives by killing themselves with it.
This obviously isn't the actual effect, it instead just teleports some of the user's gear/loot back to that merchant.
>>52561774
Ooo, I could even use this for the world's shittiest binary logic puzzle.
>>52561851
This is also pretty hilarious.
> Heavily Japanese but 0% weeb
> Martials and casters are balanced
> Well done Nobledark
> room for any kind of race or setting without feeling forced
> Easy to incorporate existing characters as NPCs
> Great excuse to use a fake offensive accent
Did Samurai Jack have the best setting?
>>52553760
If by 'best' you mean 'most easily adaptable' then maybe.
The actual setting for Samurai Jack almost doesn't exist thanks to how kitchen sink it is. It exists purely as a backdrop for Jack's conflict with Aku, and therefore is about as deep as a large puddle. It works great for the episodic and personal journey of Jack but there isn't much to the setting beyond what we see directly in the show.
>>52553760
>Great excuse to use a fake offensive accent
SJWs actually think pretty highly of Phil LaMarr, impressed by his ability to use weeb inflection without dipping into Micky Rooney impressions

Would you a QT Dathomiri Witch riding on a Rancor?
>>52546524
Not when she's on the rancor; a canoe is bad enough
Post freighters
What's your favorite and why?
>>52546524
Fuck nu canon for retconing good dathomir witches and their giant sapient rancors.
Heal Brats annoy me.
The problem is that they exist to be the antithesis to the healslut mentality, and I understand that, but the fact of the matter is that in any situation in which something is killing The Tank, it's inevitable that the same thing murdering them can absolutely kill The Healer just as easy.
>>52543045
The issue is it comes from an MMO mentality born of the modern MMO where if everyone does their job right the healer doesn't have to stress much at all, just sitting back and pushing buttons when a think starts to blink yellow or maybe red.
In TTRPGs I have yet to see either of these mentalities actually come up, especially given the amount of people who learn healers from D&D where you're a tough mother fucker in armor and wielding a hammer.
>>52543089
I look forward to the short life and swift death of the term "healslut."
>>52543089
That makes some more sense.
I'm a 3.5 Fag so I've never been too experienced with other systems too often, but it's always seemed like my groups never even had healers and often enough healing would be a thing we did in town.
Also it's sorta sad that the inability to instantly heal makes doctors a non-viable occupation in fantasy adventure parties.
>Sense emotion > Sense motion
>Hunter's mark > hunter's dark
>Charm person > Harm person
>Guiding bolt > guiding colt.
And so on.
Other people try to come up with new spell effects for the altered names. Bonus points if the new spell is of the same casting level as the unaltered versions.
>>52540349
Sense Motion
Divination
2nd Level
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 round/level
You gain Blindsense and Tremorsense. The range is 5ft per three caster levels.
Meld into Stone -> Geld into Stone
Spell Immunity -> Sell Immunity
Mass Heal -> Ass Heal
True Resurrection -> Rue Resurrection
>>52540349
>Fireball -> Wireball
You conjure a ball of string and hurl it at a space within 30 ft of you.
The ball acts as a Daze spell with a radius of 10ft, centered on the point of impact.
This spell only affects creatures with the "Feline" subtype.
>Spell Immunity -> Spall Immunity
Gain damage immunity against small metal fragments.
This spell only works when cast inside a tank.
>Colorspray -> Colonspray
Do i even need to explain this one?
>>52540463
>Mass Heal -> Ass Heal

Good morning and welcome back to Ask A Judge! Reminder since we're in Spoiler Season: I might not be able to give a definitive answer re: Spoiled cards, either due to not having the full CR entry for a specific keyword, or due to potential tweaks in the rules when Space Egypt launches. As always, take any answers regarding spoiled cards with a grain of salt.
You don't seem to have many questions... I'll go with a very general one: do you have an example of an especially tricky situation you had to explain to a player, that could get someone here confused?
>>52516819
None I can think of off-hand, honestly. Unless a specific interaction or call was really interesting, I tend to kinda blank them out of my memory after I leave the table.
>>52517066
OK then, here is one:
I live in Italy, and went to a tournament recently with a Visions FoW (pic related). The guy is saying "oh my fucking god, I knew I shouldn't have played a combo deck". At the beginning of the tournament, a judge checked the altered cards, laughed but ended up asking me to use another one. He told me that the "porco dio" part, if I were to say it loud, would get me "a penalty" (blasphemy still being a serious thing here).
How are such rules defined? Is there something dictated by WotC or is it up to every event organizer and judge to decide what can or can't be said? Note that I'm not debating the judge's decision, just wondering.

>Cerimonial, of course. No way the Crane Lord would actually fight.
>But I could see that it would indeed keep him fairly safe from stray arrows.
>My respect for Kakita Ren shot up several notches. It's not often a pampered lord, born into the Kuge, knows how much his mere presence on the field can bolster the morale of his troops.
>Why Tenkai? Why did you betray father like that? Betray me?
>Tenkai just sat there, tied up in the manner befitting the worst sort of criminal, rather than a Karo.
>Ren stared for a moment.
>Then composed himself, donning once again the mantel of Lordship
>You mean that you will need the toturers, Kitsuki-san, yes? You will have them.
>Just remember, I must have his confession on what he did to Father.
>You will, my Lord. I promise.
>Take him away.

>I knelt down next to Tenkai, and looked him in the eyes.

How would you stat the Killer Rabbit? So it's a tough opponent for four level 6-7 players. (Fighter, Rogue, Paladin, Bard)
>>52576695
Shit, where are my owlbear stats.
Bite attack w/vorpal and probably keen, at least a +20 to acrobatics
Str 18 Dex 24 Con 14 Int 15 Wis 12 Cha 17
It's a bunny with:
Multiattack: The bunny makes two bite attacks.
Bite: Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, melee range, one target. Hit: 22 (3d10 + 6) piercing damage.
Leap: The bunny charges to a target up to 10ft away, avoiding any opportunity attacks it triggers on the way. It can replace one of its bite attacks with this.
Go for the Jugular: If the bunny made two bite attacks last turn on a single target, it can use this entire turn's action to go for a killstrike. Target makes a con saving throw against the bunny's strength. If you succeed, just roll a normal bite attack, if you fail, take 4d20 piercing damage.
No idea how balanced this is, just thought i'd provide some ideas.
