For example, let's say a wizard wants to trap an entire building and all its inhabitants in a cube. This cube can be transported around and even opened by anyone that knows a specific spoken password. If the cube gets opened then the building and all its inhabitants appear in a space that can be specified by the person that opened the cube, provided they can actually see it.

I am asking because I have an idea for a session in which the party stumbles upon a place that is marked as a village on their map. After some investigating they find out that a powerful wizard in a desperate attempt to save the village and all its inhabitants from the wrath of a demonic force trapped the village in spheres or cubes. The wizard was destroyed and the spheres were scattered in the surrounding region. Some of them still lie in the wilderness, untouched. Some of them were picked up by goblins that live in the surrounding mountain range, others collected by travelers as a strange curiosity and an adventuring trinket and then there are a few that found their way into the dens and caves of wild animals, maybe even horrible beasts or mystical creatures.

The adventurers will be able to collect spheres all around the region and eventually be able to piece together the village with all its inhabitants and buildings. Do you think that would be an interesting thing to do as a player?

So, I set up a side adventure for two of my players since they couldn't make it to the normal session, and it ended with both of them releasing and accepting boons from the Dark God of Rot and Decay, who is now going to be set loose in my Necromancer Country.

I'm not sure how to move forward. I genuinely did not expect the two NG Barbarians to side with the Force of Evil that was literally eating away at their minds the whole session, even if the other option was working with one of the people they were hired to kill.

They got their rewards, and a constant feeling of being unclean that will never go away, but how this will affect them and the main plot has thrown me for a loop.

tldr: What do I do with two characters who willingly choose to be infected by a God of Rot?

The same way you do with any other power: You add limitations and modifications, and maybe even add a touch of realism.

Super strength: Good luck lifting a car without breaking it apart.

Super Speed: That's an interesting one. Okay, so you're super fast. Too bad your perception isn't. Try to avoid running into shit. Also, you don't get any tougher than normal, so hitting someone at 400 km/s is something you do only once. You could even rip yourself apart or ignite yourself on the air resistance if you go too fast.

Flight is in most cases something that is added to other powersets, but you can even give that a twist. E.g. you can't fly, but rather drift. You jump, you keep flying until you hit an obstacle or the ground, but can't change your course until then.

How do you guys deal with the 'ecks dee I overkill this innocent person' characters?

>GMing home brew rules lite system for group of irl friends.
Two played dnd a bit before. No real problems here.
One completely new who originally wants to just meme with a 'frog that can cast magic'. Get him interested in setting enough that he makes a cool demon worshipping guy who's basically a debt collector for his master. Plays pretty well considering he's new.
Two people who say less than ten words between them for the whole session, just listen to the whole thing no matter how I try to involve them. I dont mind as we all are friends ooc and they dont exactly detract from the experience for the active players.
Finally a guy who in his own words wants "To just murder shit and be powerful". This is his first rpg experience, but he's so hell bent on murdering literally anyone considered remotely bad. I'll call him B.

Quick summary of first two sessions, party all happened to be sleeping in a tavern in various journeys, town attack by ghouls, party agrees to remove infestation from the nearby castle for a moderate reward.

>most characters were going to do it out of their own safety but B and one other was gonna just leave the town to its own fate and save their own skin, so I invented a reward to keep the party together.

Turns out ghouls are attracted to a vampire trapped in a prison cell in the castle. In my setting vampirism is a disease (ohooo original) so the party decides, after some hesitation, to release him.

Vamp bro is thankful, says he was a prisoner of war and got infected in the cell. Was going to go back to his home town to see if he still has any family left.

Luck out a little as the party decides to help the vamp home.

Noteworthy: B plays a gnome in a steampunk mech. Its all fine in my setting and mechs are my newbie friendly class, being naturally great at combat.

Again, most of party is down for helping out, but I had to to offer financial incentive to keep the party united. I'm totally fine if the party didn't want to help the town, but the issue was half the party was going to help, but B and one other were just gonna leave the town on their own cause they didn't give a fuck about the populace in b's case and the other players character hated spiders (making it a 50/50 split as
The two basically afk players didn't even speak)

Fast forwards a bit.

>Party has done some sleuthing and found the last known location of the wizard, a dungeon. Dungeon crawl ensues.
>Tunnel too narrow for mech to fit, but I have some things up ahead that only the B's gnome can fit through, so he still feel helpful.
>B decides he just wants to sit in the mech for safety and wait for party to be done in dungeon. Keep trying to describe distant noises he can hear from the party so he doesn't feel utterly left out despite it being self imposed.

Shenanigans ensue and basically the party accidentally destroys the spiders big nest, via overloading a magical ward lathe magician had set and freezing the entire dungeon.

They barely explored 1/3 of the place I made but again, don't care, the fact they nuked the dungeon accidentally with a trap meant for them made me chuckle.

No one else's property, penknives, or feelings matter to B (IC, dunno about ooc), he just beat a child thief to death with the corpse of his friend last session when a merchant asked him to help with the robberies the kids were doing.

From recent memory it would have to be the way they bungled Beast before reworking it.

So, Up until this point i've been painting using nothing but 50c acryllics. it as pretty sucky. I'm pretty sure i've been insulted by like 25% of tg for it.

Well, your wallet hates you, but at least you got some quality paints.

It's funny, I use the cheap ass craft acrylics myself and get plenty decent results with them. I guess I know how to thin them decently or something. I'll admit it does take longer to thin coat with them because the pigment isn't as strong, but two extra coats is worth saving all that goddamn money.

Okay, so there's a Social <> Rebel axis, and a Moral <> Impure axis.

...what does this add, exactly? I LIKE alignments, and I don't see the point of this. What is made better by adding a Z axis and...Q?...axis? What do Social, Rebel, Moral, and Impure even mean without overlapping on Good, Evil, Law, and Chaos?
