I came up with an idea to sponsor my local game store with free membership badges when people sign up and pay guild dues.

I was thinking campaign badges that you sow onto a vest with rewards for clever play, good humor and good sportsmanship.

Anybody know where I can find badges, preferably with some sort of animal on the front like wolf, tiger or bear?

Is there a limit to how many magic rings I can wear? I believe that I should be free to put at least one ring into each ring.

Is rolling for stats bullshit?

Seeing how stats are one of the most important things in a RPG, I don't think it's right for a player to be favored or unfavored through an entire campaign just for being unlucky.

A far better system is arbitrary values (ex pick one 17, two 15, three 12, etc) or point buy (get X points, increasing a stat cost 1 point, from 12 2 points, from 14 3 points, etc).

Thoughts?

Which is the biggest red flag, /tg/?

>The GM's game setting is bog-standard medieval high-fantasy set in a faux Europe with woodland elves, orc hordes, wizard towers, and dwarf mines. Effectively indistinguishable from Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms, save a bunch of new proper nouns to learn and some new geography to put on the map.
>The GM has set out to avoid "generic fantasy" as hard as possible, resulting in every imaginable convention being arbitrarily turned on its head. The setting has elves and dwarves, but THESE Elves all pilot magitek mechs, and THESE dwarves all live in floating airships. Setting may or may not have another genre layered on top of high fantasy, like "Post Apocalyptic" or "Gaslamp Fantasy," even though the party will still spend half their time going dungeon delving at the end of the day.
