First for the dark gods.
Nth for why is the weather too shit to prime my models.
CHOOSE YOUR ALLIANCE
IMPERIUM
CHAOS
XENOS
AGE OF EMPRAH IS UPON US
General scenery art thread.
But I have a bit of a needle in a haystack kind of request.
I'm looking for a specific piece of art I saw dumped in one of these threads a long time ago. It featured a huge clock face on the left side viewed from above inside of some kind of enormous machine and had a dark blue green color palette. There may have been tiny human figures looking up at it. That's all I can really remember of it. Maybe someone knows what I'm talking about.
In the mean time, art dump.
Is humanity boned in 40k? I mean it's not like they can fix the golden throne.
>>52870164
It's 40k. If you're not a Chaos God, you're boned no matter what you do.

The Tau seems to be flourishing.
From the genocides, the Necrons, Tyranids and Orks are pretty much unkillable.

My rogue wears studded leather, fight me bro!

Well made bad dude makes a game for me

I'd never thought I'd see a bigger faggot than OP but you managed it.
>The Main Villain has a powerful propaganda engine
Should you just let the PCs fall for the MV's lies about how great he is if they're dumb enough to listen?
The BBEG can, and should, be allowed to have is propaganda work if they have it.
Don't let it be a set piece.
>>52869179
Yes.
You should read about Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia and compare it to with the invasion of Afghanistan.Afghans didn't read that Soviet Army is huge and indestructible in contrast to Czechoslovakians who were taught that in school and told so on the news

Ugh.
>party is having visions
>tell each player individually to discourage meta-gaming
>players keep their visions to themselves
>each player's vision fits together with another
>all their visions put together tell them where the magic mcguffin is
>everyone refuses to divulge information to each other because "that's why my character would do"
>campaign is quickly going nowhere
>have an npc bring up a book that 3 out of 5 of the players have seen in their vision
>they acknowledge they know of it and then shrug it off and continue doing nothing
Is this my fault for even giving them the option of being this edgy and cutting the rest of the party out of their info?
>>52869178
>tell each player individually to discourage meta-gaming
Yo if you wanted the entire party to know you should have fucking told the entire party.
My DM did something much like this once and we didn't tell each other SHIT because we thought there was a reason he told us individually instead of together.
>>52869188
My main issue is that they werent biting any bait I sent their way but were getting annoyed at not having anything to do. So I wanted to be more direct without being the exposition fairy.
>that's what my character would do
So give their characters more reason to cooperate?
Can somebody explain the new 40K map to me? i need more fluff, ive read the gathering storm, but i need more to explain the shit that is now going down

GW not understanding their own lore or numbers bigger than two digits.
Basically the same shit lore since 5th, it is impressive they made worst lore than that previous edition
>>52868899
They will have daily preview articles on their community site. Just wait and see.
Just received an email from GW confirming they are not using the codex books for rules anymore.
Even the most recent ones are now on last chance to buy because they will not be compatible with the rules.
They are selling them off for the fluff content.

This is fake news.
Seriously though, they said all the codexes will be scrapped for 8th yesterday in the FAQ. Old news.
You missed the key word "existing". There will be new ones for the new edition. Perhaps you should learn to read before they come out.

I know this is a /tg/ board and these are video games, but some of these games are as old as time. I really think they could help new players and GM's grasp design and thematic elements from old school RPG's.

Who's pumped for the new Planescape? Think they will release the dialogue engine?
>>52868552
>Getting inspiration from videogames
>Learning from videogames that use dumbed down P&P Mechanics
Let's be honest here. We probably all like classic roleplaying video games for bringing alive what we encounter in our mind when playing tabletop or pen & paper. But they do it on the most trivial and most railroading and simplest way possible.
>>52868552
Great OP.
>>52869573
A vidya, while railroady, is a great way to get how something "should be".
If you are just interplanally punching stuff, you are doing Planescape wrong.
Also, while fun, don't use Dragonshard as a model for anything. Ever.
>Player mentions he likes Anime, Big Bang Theory or Sports
>Plays a fire caster
>Has Tumblr
>Plays "undesirable" Races (Elves, Gnomes, Kender, Catfolk)
>Backstory over five sentences
>Doesn't like Realistic settings
Anyone got horror stories or stories how he dealt with Shit players?
>>52867796
Here is your (you) for bringing a player's out-of-game hobbies into your judgement of their in-game performance. We should probably start interviewing players on the porn habits while we're at it, and what video game console is their favorite, and whether they like Pepsi or Coke more.
>>52867796
My roll20 screening process:
>likes anime - out
>male playing a female character - out
>female - out
>novel-length backstory - out, does he even expect me to read all that shit?
>"does your game use Spheres of Might/Power?" - out
>>52867909
>he said, attaching a picture of animu girl
You can't "distance" yourself from your hobbies. If you have them, they already have polluted you, and it's inevitable you'll start bringing this shit into where it doesn't belong.

Are Naga immortal? If so, that seems really strong.
one of my players is playing a summoner and chose the "Curse" disadvantage. it leaves it open to the GM about what it does.
I've come up with a few curses in the past for martials and such but I've never had to think about a summoner.
what are some cool or terrifying curses you could lay on a person who summons monsters to fight for them? imagine like pokemon but with magic.
im hoping this is still here in 5 hours, ill be back to answer any questions.
and the game is High Fantasy set in (not)Europe, using anima beyond fantasy.
I got an idea.
Everything summoned has a significant chance of being fucked up in some way.
Like unnaturally low stats, or missing abilities, or sometimes it's literally ends up a half summoned pile of mess on the ground that is completely unusable and sickening to see.
But very rarely, taking the risk on the summon grants a freakishly good monster.
If your game has a luck stat, then it might actually be important for a character like this.
>>52866858
Strong link - He has to pass some kind of willpower or mental check to avoid taking damage equal to the damage his summoned creature takes. If it dies, he flat-out loses consciousness
Weak link - He has to pass a willpower check to issue any commands. If he fails, the creature just stands there doing nothing at all. If he rolls a 1 the summoned creature disappears.
Curse of instability - He has to constantly chant or perform some other action to maintain the summoning. If he's interrupted, the monster disappears.
Burden of proof - Anything he summons has an extremely short duration unless he sacrifices some physical remains of that creature type during the summoning

All I have is some shitty Heromachine-made stuff. Here's my evil Psion/Incarnate, for example. Made the bone armor out of a dire bear, and got it masterworked.
>>52866886
That was my paladin Sara b4 we moved from pathfinder to 5e. Now im playing a goblin monk and sorcerer.
If innovation was allowed, would the Imperium of Man win the fight? I think they'd have more of a chance to hold out till Emprah rises from his golden lazyboy.
>>52866839
Innovation is allowed, it just has to go though centuries or millennia of peer review.
>>52866839
This is a meme. The Imperium creates stuff all the time, the only thing is it takes a long time to screen them because there is the very real possibility doing it wrong can literally summon demons.
Even then, it depends on the thing they are innovating in particular. There's all sorts of various guns and other weapons but they just restrict people from making any major modifications on their own not that it really stops people doing so anyways.
>>52866857
Centuries is workable to some degree, but millennia...? You'd be dead before you'd see if you saved the Imperium with your life's work.
