First for the Imperial Guard regiment from Remus who has no name!
Oy vey Emperor
The Sisters list they posted for the stream had an Avenger and a Repressor. Is this a good sign? Both are forgeworld and the Repressor isn't even available anymore.

BA is a very enjoyable game. My group has been collecting most of the armies so there is a great variety of lists to play with/against.

How can you accurately and precisely predict what another character says or does without magic? How do you build a character capable of such?
>>52953957
Outthink that player/gm.
Depends on the setting, it also depends on the kind of game you're playing. If a player has decided to give a character some sort of catch-phrase, that much might make it easier. Generally speaking in the flow of things naturally it would be almost impossible to legitimately pull this kind of thing off.
However, if you are playing a loose and fun game, you might be able to pull something like this off on the fly, and depending on the players and how on the wavelength of rule of funny(or whatever applies) they might say the same line to create a dramatic moment. It really depends on the players you have.

Hey guys, i've got a confession.
I like... Exalted. Like really like. I like idea of playing totally overpowered characters with goals to change the world.
The only thing i dont really like about Exalted is its rules. Hundreds upon hundreds of charms, boons, spells, martial arts, invocations, advanteges and mutations. And evrything add up to simply throwing bigger and bigger pools, or not needing to roll at all couse of atomatic succeses.
Each of those alone is Insignificant. You need to combo it with 10 other components to make your character work. I dont like.
I started to think about alternative mechanics of Exalted more to my liking, and i came up with few ideas.
Firstly you create your character by combining few modules (3-5?). Each module gives you starting abilities and determines your advancments. Something like Apocalypse World playbooks, but you combine few of them to make stronger character. Modules are combinations of boons/charms and equipment options.
I want design it so that every option aviable to you have more weight to it and defines character more strongly.
Besides it i want to simplify rules, probably transforming it more to something similar to Blades in the Darks.
Wanna hear more?
>>52953727
Go for it. Also, I don't know Blades in the Darks, can you explain what sort of game is it ?
>>52953727
Exalted is perfectly playable as is in the current edition, but if you want something rules light you have a few options skippy:
1) Go back to 1e and refine some things. Rules are simple as piss and can work fairly decently if you want something more rules light.
2) If you want less tracking of charms, Godbound/Cortex Command are good alternative systems.
Also instead of asking "Do you want to hear more?" my own counterpoint question is "Why the fuck are you asking this and not showing a proof of concept?"
>>52953839
1) I dont do archeology
2) Didn't like Godbound, especially extremely depressing world and weird concept of heavens.
Dont know Cortex, is this have somethnig to do with that marvel Heroic game?
Cos sometimes before i start working on somethning i like to post bare concept on internet to hear other people opinions.
More info coming trough...
What you want me to ask you some questions that no one will care about? If you have something to say just say it, what are you a retard? Need me to ask you how you feel? Maybe wash your bum and weewee? I don't care just talk about modern.
This has to be the most autistic op yet
This might be an awkward question but how do you 'talk' in a match against someone? I've only played online card game.
I watch tournaments but you never hear the actual 2 players say anything to each other.
What do you announce? Do you announce anything at all and the other guy is just expected to immediately know everything you are doing?
Anybody want to make a thread that isn't a raging dumpster fire?
Welcome to the Salty Spitoon. How tough are ya?

I think I want my next character to be a princess in disguise going on adventures, /tg/. She won't necessarily hide that she's a princess from the fellow party members, but I basically want to play into the old standby of "bored of palace life, wants to go adventure rather than be married off".
It's a pretty common fantasy trope, but one that I don't imagine comes up very often in roleplaying games
Have you ever played a princess like this, /tg/? Or have you ever encountered players who have? How did it turn out?
>>52952261
I played one once, and can't say it turned out all that well because I was constantly tempted to go back and ask daddy to solve all the problems I myself couldn't - and occasionally he did.
Pretty sure I gave the DM hard time to keep the balance even remotely intact.
>>52952261
If you're going to do that, the best thing to do is have a mage hook the princess up with some serious, yet functional, outdoor plumbing. The bulge will lower suspicions, and the ability to pee standing up is useful on the move.
Anyone got that greentext of the man disguised as a princess disguised as a man?

Many RPGs are noted for their unique, beautiful or inspirational aesthetics (pic not necessarily related, pick your favorite one). Numenara has been lauded for its weird and epic vistas, Degenesis is chokeful of gritty Primal Punk madness and Shadows of Esteren drips Gothica.
In a visual medium like video games, films or comic books, aesthetics are indeed crucially important and can completely shape and define the experience. However, roleplaying games are not a visual setting: the players only see what the GM describes, and you can only describe the surroundings and clothing styles and architecture and so on so far before it begins to get in the way of actually delivering information (a trait RPGs share, in that sense, with the similarly nonvisual medium of books). It brings to mind just how useful all this gorgeous art and unique aesthetics are when the only time the players would even be exposed to them is while idly flipping through the rulebook as they create their characters.
Art and setting/game aesthetics - your thoughts and explanations thereof.
The best you can do is provide some art and also occasionally play music. I get a very strong comfy feeling when I play Gmod apocalyptic RP maps alone, while listening to BvDub music or old folk music. Really feels like another world.
The best you can do, as a GM, is immerse yourself in that world as best you can, using music, imagery, whatever. Then you can enjoy it, and if you are half-way decent at description it will improve the experience for your players as well.
But I agree, aesthetics, the visuals, the style, the things that truly draw me into a setting, cannot be achieved through RPGs or even books. In fact, when I was younger I was indoctrinated with the librarian "books are the superior patrician form of media and everything else is wrong" mentality; yet as I get older I realize that books have as many flaws as strengths.
>>52951328
Yeah, who gives a fuck about descriptions? All settings should be defined as [town #] or [dungeon #], each room in the dungeon should be a list of [trap] and [monster] with a few attached statistics and gear should just add a bonus to [stat] for maximum efficiency.
Here, have a huge-ass music dump, I love using this for the lonely, comfy tone of an apocalyptic world.

Just good soulful music, some metal, some ambient, to evoke that feeling of hopelessness tempered by human spirit for a good apocalyptic world. I like "evolved" apoc settings the most, i.e. takes place 10 years later, 20 years later, 50 years later, whatever. Like the implied setting of Apocalypse World.
I have more but that should be enough for now.
For some time, I've wanted to do some card game about Wrestling, something like Wrestle Angels Survivor. I've seen mechanics like in Smash! Or Flash Duel, that could work, but I still do not decide. Suggestions?
Also, do you know board games related to wrestling?
https://youtu.be/7H_kMhW1BDA
I vaguely approve but I don't think wrasslin lends itself well to card games. Though flash duel looks vaguely decent.
There is rumbleslam, though I don't know if that counts.

OOOOH!!! Thanks!! I'll check this.
How do you roleplay as a character more intelligent than yourself?
I already have 18 intelligence, so this isn't a problem for me.

"Connery's portrayal of Bond owes much to stylistic tutelage from director Terence Young, polishing the actor while using his physical grace and presence for the action. Lois Maxwell, who played Miss Moneypenny, related that, "Terence took Sean under his wing. He took him to dinner, showed him how to walk, how to talk, even how to eat."[45] The tutoring was successful; Connery received thousands of fan letters a week, and the actor became one of the great male sex symbols of film.[28]"
Being intelligent is literally just putting the time in to learn.
