What are you going to play in this brave new standard? I'm going for UB Gearhulk control. What do you think will dominate the format next?
I've been playing this thing. Not quite sure what to add in Amonkhet, but I'm in love with Vizier of Deferment as a removal counter/extra etb value trigger.

>>52943212
I already know what will dominate Standard.
It's the same deck that will dominate Modern as well
You can flee to any format you'd like, but you will never be free of Gideon

tested against and with Always Watching + Glory-Bound Initiate. Can confirm it's bonkers.
>>52943263
I don't think oops all gideons is gonna be a problem. If anything just a consistent meme deck. Easily able to negate platinum gideon or AoZ on the play or not.
INT is thinking Joshua was right.
WIS is knowing Daniel was right.
>>52937318
I knew daniel was right but I still went with joshua first time. Too scared to disobey, plus was cooler
>>52937318
Whatever.
Joshua, put a cap in general gobbledigook here
>>52937318
Fuck the White Legs. If you let them live, they despoil and destroy Zion. No, extermination was absolutely the right call.
Shit's gettin' real edition.

Other than the obvious reason of being Papa Smurf, the posterboys of the Marines, why DID they pick Roboute to awaken? Why not bring back one of the Warp-lost, like Russ, or El'Jonson?
>>52977092
Because unlike the other two he is the only mother fucker other then emps thar people KNOWS where he is
Alright, while that's true, that doesn't explain why they (GW) didn't just have Russ or one of the other Primarchs currently MIA in the Warp pop out due to the entire debacle at Cadia.
>>52977204
Pretty much this. Anyone want to place bets on the next one to return? My vote is Dorn.
Is it heretical to paint your armies a single colour, fa/the/uys?

That's roughly 0.8% better than just priming them. So, no.
It's just the slightest step above grey tide in terms of laziness.
Is this the correct way to lawful evil?
>>52975735
I hope not. Imagine how boring it would be if there were only 9 "correct" characters possible.

Stop playing with alignment. It's shit to begin with and you're making it worse by getting it wrong.
>>52975750
>>52975774
You should probably at least attempt to understand something before you go so gung-ho on blindly hating it.
Not understanding alignment doesn't make it bad, it makes you look stupid.
I liked doing this last thread, so let's roll up a new superhero.
Roll 1d100 for the character's physical form.
Book for reference.
Rolled 28 (1d100)
this was a fun thread last time

>Induced Mutant: The hero started life
as a Normal Human, "then something
happened." As a result of a freak
happenstance, the hero has been physically and genetically altered. The
Fantastic Four are examples of this type.
Induced Mutants roll their random
ranks for Primary Abilities on Column 1
of the Random Ranks Table.
Induced Mutants can raise any one
Primary Ability +1CS.
Cool. Roll another 1d100 for what gave the character the mutation.

These one-line meme threads are lame.

Yes, but can they compete with how lame I can be?

Just report and ignore. This is a routine spammer.

Why
bows need strength AND accuracy
orcs be dum dums
>>52974845
Orcs are a melee race.
>>52974845
>But usually they are the worst archers.
Cite your sources OP.
How could you justify a traditional party in 40k with different races? Like, say a Space Marine, an Eldar, and an Ork got stranded together on a planet. What threat could cause them to not just kill each other immediately and actually work together?
>>52974186
>What threat could cause them to not just kill each other immediately and actually work together?
Chaos, Necrons, Tyranids.
Those are the big three villains that you could unite SM, Eldar, and Orks, if only for a short time.
>>52974186
Temporary alliances are a thing. Heck, Rowboat has been hanging around with eldar for a while now. As far as a common enemy, probably chaos is your best bet. The ork would be the most difficult to rationalize, I think, because they really don't care about who they're fighting the majority of the time. You'd need Yarrick-level badassery to get them to respect you enough not to immediately try and kill you.
>>52974220
Thats not true at all. Rogue Trader has tons of crews with Ork mercenaries onboard them, they're a staple of the genre. If anything the Ork is the EASIEST to justify because they are murderhobos by default.
Hell, the Space Marine could probably easily wrangle him supposing he was taller then the Ork was.

Last session recap >>52964005
What's the most non-standard setting you've played in or are working on?
Is it just me or the Revised Ranger is too strong at low levels?
>>52974119
>a front-loaded UA class
Never woulda imagined
>>52974095
No real central world. A bunch of demiplanes where the sentient races live and the remains of the original world that got literally torn apart as gods fought for supremacy.
The demiplanes are just small pieces of tranquility in a sea of chaos that is the real world. Of course demiplanes with populations that large need more magic to keep themselves sustained so they hire adventurers to scrounge the remnants of the world to gather ancient artifacts and such to keep their fields green and citizens alive.
Bit of points of light, some post apocalyptic elements and high lethality.
Specifically requesting art of male rogues/assassins with thin or lanky builds. Alot of art makes them appear too ripped. Which is a problem if you are like me and think it creates too much dissonance when compared to actual stats. Do any other anons want their art to reflect the character's stats, or do you think it's a secondary consideration ?
Anyway, I'll dump a few roguish characters
