Thought you faggots might be interested in this. My copy just arrived and I'm up for questions.
Models are hard plastic but the quality is bad. Very static poses and the detail is Hero quest from the 90's level bad. There's no texture or movement to almost anything but the Dancer who's cape is flowing. It's like they took the game models and did nothing to compensate for the lack of textures. Swords often come to really flimsy points that will break easily. Like you get with plastic army men. Scale is off on a few models who have tiny heads for their bodies. Titanite demon and Garogyle are the only good figures in the set.
Ask away.
Aw man, I was thinking about using the Knight miniature instead of a token for my paladin in D&D.
Can we get pics and more specific commentary on all the player character minis?

Who's ready to start putting heavy weapons on squads now that you only shoot at -1 bs instead of snapfiring. I know my Dark Lances are ready.
This is a space elf.

Actually looks like a human that's just using elf bio-tech. Space elves dress like age of sail naval officers.

Spelljammer is the best my man. Everyone should give it a shot. It looks cheesy, but come on. You're already playing pretend as elves, why not take it to SPAAAAAAAACE?
So Yu-Gi-Oh is ripping off other card games directly now?
By the way, the original kana is 冥帝エレボス which would actually make it literally "Erebos" and not "Erebus".

They both came from the same source material.

Hey /tg/ my friends and I started up a Bi-monthly podcast for gaming in the local area. We were wondering if you you guys had any general questions we could have extended discussions about. The podcast is mostly about miniature and board gaming, with a frontloaded section to advertise upcoming events, tournaments, and leagues for the local area.
We've only had 2 previous questions, One asking the Pros of getting back into 40k and what we like about it, and the second asking If we chose armies/factions on crunch or fluff.
>interesting thread that goes ignored
Sorry, OP. Personally, I'm attempting to make my own board game so discussion about mechanics and theory/concept would be of interest to me, but I don't know if that's a very large audience.
>>53013916
Ain't no problem my man, some nights are better than others.
I wouldn't think so but then again the three of us have never tired to make a game. We usually know when a mechanic does or doesn't work though and we do talk about things we do and don't like about certain systems or games.
Is there a specific question you had about that topic though?
>>53012205
Going to be a bit harsh here, but with those topics you will never get much in way of questions and viewers. Nearly every question that might be asked about wargaming has most likely been discussed at length and with better sources on one of the many forums dedicated to the various wargames. As for board games, all that matters is if you had fun and there are already no small amount of let's plays that focus on board games. If you and your friend are knowledgeable in game design like >>53013916 you would at least have a sweet niche.

I'll share a joke at least.
I like to add the modifier "ies" to any of the armies I play against or players I reference. Started with Space Wolves, "Space Puppies." Then began trying to link various armies to that way of saying it.
So I'm talking to several players and begin referencing to their armies in this manner
>Space Wolves played by a white skinny dude
>Space Puppies
>Tau played by some fat nerd
>Blueberries
>Dark Angels played by an African American gentleman
>Darkies
RIP me.
If the Imperial Guard had a Primarch-equivalent, what would he be like?
You pictured him.
>>53010522
Well space marines are just watered down versions of their Primarch right? So I imagine an Imperial Guard Primarch would look like an Iron Warrior space marine.

You've been offered the chance to re-locate off of Earth to one of the many Colony Planets being worked on. One of the planets currently being offered is Ocassia which is a water world rich in natural resouces and alien fauna. However, to accept this invite will require extensive augmentation both mechanical and biological in order to survive the environment which will no doubt hinder your ability to travel off world or even back to Earth.
Do you accept the conditions?
>>53009298
Maybe
>>53009298
What's the purpose of these modifications? I suppose the immediate thing that comes to mind would be the usefulness of having a diving suit for protection but not needing an air supply if you have built in gills in your body so all you have to do is protect against pressure. Then again even if you have gills would they still work below a certain depth? Would your diving suit instead just oxygenate and filter the water that your are breathing in?
>>53009298
>>53009348
Will I have a dick? Can I fuck the fauna?

>>53009042
first for da waaaaaagh!
okay /tg/
what one 40k character/god would you want to be able to punch in the face and get away with it
>the adeptus terra will pay for the cost of your broken hand if you punch any space marines or primarchs, only a small copay
> other player uses mind control constantly
> shitty wis so there's no way to protect against it
> doesn't matter if I've got good wis either
> pretty much just becomes "put down controller time" because there's nothing I can do to stop it
Just end me
>>53009037
>other player uses mind control
>player casting any kind of mind control on another
>player taking control from another player
There is something you can do to stop it - leave the game. It's shit.
>>53009053
The thing is I enjoy most of the game - it's just that it's a tedious experience to be forced into doing things because "lel mindcontrol lamo" and there's nothing I can do to stop it - I can't even circumvent it in a clever way. In one instance, I'm playing a skeletal knight and we're in a room full of traps - I'm forced to purposefully take damage for no real point other than another players amusement. It didn't achieve anything other than ensure if I was around in the next fight, I'd go down.
So it becomes a case of "serve or be forced to" and it's the kind of mind-control where the servant doesn't even know they're being mind-controlled - so I can't actively rebel
>>53009112
Murder the other PC in their sleep. Given they've repeatedly mind-controlled your character against their will, I'd say it's justified.

Posting again for advice
This recently happened to me in a campaign I'm in:
>finally got a meeting with the governor
>we've been trying to get an audience for two sessions now
>did some business for a local bureaucrat to get him to sponsor us for a meeting
>the meeting went well
>convinced him to lend us aid
>we were supposed to head out with a force to investigate weird shit in the hills
>weird shit mainly including random famers showing up with strange injuries and no memory
>as we were leaving we head into the market to get supplies
>GM tells me to stop for a moment
>tells me that some window, two birds, ivy, and a stoop form a perfect representation of the golden ratio
>at it center sits an old man
>tells me my character suddenly has a blinding headache and nausea as I look at him
>the old man stands up
>tells me everything has slowed down around me
>the old man walks over and whispers to me 'fear the fox in the hen house'
>suddenly everything starts moving again and the old man is gone
what should I do? what does it mean? who was the old man? who is the fox?
I can answer more questions if it'd help solve this.
Vult is a parody of a human being.
