Perilous Wilds is pretty good for this kind of thing

it has a good random locations table which can be used to create places for the PCs to come across when exploring the wilderness

even if you're not playing Dungeon World it's easy enough to use on its own

I Really hope you are not putting your players in a white box encounter, as in "the two sides start to fight each other immediately until one side is killed" every single session. That shit gets boring quickly.

Pics of civilization building beings and Space monsters or simply weird Flora and Fauna.

So, Luther Strode: Had to go back and change it a bit due to reflection and indecision. I picked up the Jumper's Job and Red Handed Faith drawbacks, and swapped out Ways of Eros for Chaining Cain. It really didn't change anything of the build or my stay, aside from coming across more disciples of Cain than I otherwise might have. Which gave the would-be Samson more chances to screw with me.

Moving right along...

Jump #319: Seven Deadly Sins
>The Tower: An abrupt change, perhaps leading to a new lifestyle and enlightenment.
Several of my companions occasionally gripe about the whole 'you were an evil vampire' thing.
I'll give them a reason to gripe.
>Location: Free Choice
>Race: Vampire (-100)
Seemingly one of the last vampires, considering they were almost all nuked not too long ago.
>Identity: Fugitive (-100)
Well, obviously if a vampire shows up and is playing up the part, they're going to bring the wrath down on themselves.
>Drawbacks: Punching Ban (+200), A King's Burden (+300), Traitor (+300)
Well, this is about typical, I suppose. If I take damage, I REALLY take damage, and thanks to A King's Burden I am going to be taking that damage more often than I'd like. And it turns out the vampires aren't as extinct as I expected... and they pretty much all hate me. What a joy!
>The Next Generation (1400)
Hm, well, at least now I can impart a hefty number of perks onto others via blood donation.
>Surprisingly Classic (Free, Vampire)
WHAT IS A MAN?! A miserable pile of secrets! But enough talk.
>Darkness Fears Not Light (1300, Vampire)
Granted, I've got perks that make me a daywalker, but having a backup to keep direct sunlight down to the level that an albino human would suffer rather than turning into a pillar of ash. The corresponding decrease of other vulnerabilities helps as well.
>Till There's Nothing But Bone Left (1100, Vampire)
Oh hohohoho! If you'll excuse me I have a philosopher's stone full of trillions of Dark Eldar souls to consume. I'll be right back.

Batman can't testify in court since he's technically a vigilante and viewed as such. Unlike Superman or Flash or whatever who is legit just recognized by the public as a straight up superhero. Also because for some reason the legal system keeps throwing Joker into Arkham.

I mean I know Batman could just kill the guy and get it over with, but that just completely goes against what Batman stands for. I think more responsibility lies in the judicial system. Batman keeps handing the Joker over on a silver platter, they don't have his oath of not murdering people and yet they keep thinking it's a fair, just and good idea to throw Joker into the insane asylum or prison. Honestly it's not even corruption, who actually wants the Joker alive?

>>53017950
You could also get someone else to kill him though. It's not like he's especially resilient. Or you could penetrate the law enforcement of Gotham and shoot him or get him convicted for the Death Penalty that way.
>>
>>53017918
That's mean but I like it.
I'll also teach Bane, just because.
Maybe the Joker too. He's just too skinny.

The Hercules Method, from the Luther Strode series.
It's a bunch exercises and meditation techniques to give your mind better control over your body, but it also has a tendency to turn people who use it into berserker killing machines.
The better you are, the stronger the urge seems to be.
Cain (from the Bible, father of murder) developed it after killing his brother.

It turns you into a total badass and gives you some neat tricks on top of the super strength and speed and stuff. Turn your muscles into a bulletproof vest! Unbreak your own shattered spine! Push your disemboweled intestines back inside! Heal without scars or permanent damage! Slay armies! Live forever!

you have an aura of passivity that extends 10 feet from your body, its stronng enough to deescalate major conflict(murders, rapes) into minor ones(assault) and completely stops minor conflict.

you can turn the effect on or off but have no control besides that, you are resistant to the effect of your own powers but far from immune.

What do you think about this idea for a setting?

Female elves marry male humans. Female humans marry male dwarves. Female dwarves marry male elves.

Think about it for a second, the male elves are way too feminine so the female elves all prefer the male humans. The male humans find the eternally youthful and attractive female elves superior to the human women and end up preferring them. The female humans, instead of turning to the feminine male elves, instead turn to the next manliest (albeit short) thing, male dwarves. Now, male dwarves don't exactly like female dwarves much, because they are very masculine, so male dwarves are very happy to take female humans instead. Finally, the female dwarves only have male elves left to partner with, and so they do, and as a result you have a civilization where female dwarven amazons are the warriors while feminine male elves provide the support and women's role.

I've never been a big fan of big dungeons. Things always take longer than you expect, and dungeons with more than a couple dozen rooms can grind on forever. Personally, I like to pick a theme and build around it. What was the dungeon in the first place and what is it being used for now? Just off the top of my head...

Maybe it was originally a shrine / base of operations for a militaristic cult that was abandoned after new construction hit an underground river and flooded significant portions of the dungeon. Now, a whole host of nasty critters have laired there, but the main force at play is a tribe of troglodytes who have grown increasingly bold in raiding the surrounding countryside for plunder and food. In addition to livestock, they have a handful of peasants housed in cages, awaiting the slaughter.

The main threat to the troglodytes is a giant slug, which they carefully avoid. It blocks access to the deeper, more sacred parts of the shrine, where, past armored double doors, undead and magical traps protect the relics of the cult. This is where the true treasure lies.

As for the cult, it was locked in a secret war with a holy order, which sought to eradicate it. The flooding came at an inopportune time for the cult, when it was beset and could not leave itself exposed. Thus, it abandoned the flooding shrine, intending to return with greater forces to reclaim their base. But before that could happen, the holy order decimated their ranks, leaving the survivors to scatter and hide themselves among the populace. But a handful of cultists still reside in a nearby town and keep an eye on the area. They will likely try to ambush the weary PCs, when they depart from the dungeon with their riches.

So at this point, the dungeon pretty much populates itself.

The fact that you're even using dungeons leads me to believe you'd be interested in OSR.
In that case, you need Wander Monster tables (to penalize poor time management) and traps that act like puzzles.

Normally I'd refer you to /osrg/, but some blowback from /pfg/ stirred everyone up and we spent half the thread bickering over a chariot axle, so...
maybe wait 'til the current /osrg/ dies to go check it out?

Is it at all possible to outfit a (relatively) small IG Regiment with Power Armor on par with the ones the Echlisiarchy and Inquisition use?

One of my player characters might be pregnant.

What manner of early signs and symptoms might there be that could come up during the adventure, and how to portray these in a subtle enough manner that it's not immediately obvious where it's going?
49 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
Pregnancy is basically one of the oldest human states and oldest tropes in stories.

Everyone knows all the signs, because it's basically inherent to being human to recognize these things.

Even in the IRL, if a girl throws up once in the morning people start wondering if she is pregnant, even if she is obviously sick.
>>
>>53011349
Enter google.
Type "early symptoms of pregnancy".
Choose some that aren't obvious.
Reference them in general terms to that player, initally related to other events.
Then again later when there's nothing that could obviously have triggered them.
>>
>>53011349

Morning nausea and abdominal pains.

There isn't much of a way to hide it. If you say "you wake up and feel nauseous" then someone is bound to say, even if just as a joke, "lol she pregnant!". You could try to smuggle it in at an opportune moment, like they eat something at a tavern that you described as shitty and unclean.
