How you feel about the concept of male sirens that assist the sailors of the seas instead of preying on them, /tg/?
>male sirens
it's weird, i find it hard to believe a bunch of pirates with feathers singing is all that entrancing.
>that assist the sailors of the seas instead of preying on them
that one i'm fine with, oddly enough. two seaborne hazards joining forces works for me.
>>55226759
>male sirens
Once again MTG promotes it's insidious anti-masculinity agenda!
> that assist the sailors of the seas instead of preying on them
Wow the SJWs are going to pounce on this and make a big deal about it.
>>55226954
>Grognards complain about"Strong independent women taking traditional male roles"
>Male in a traditional female role, and a benevolent twist on it at that.
>Grognards still complain about "hurrr durrr SJWs!"
I mean, what's next? A flying multiplanar ship captained by a dark-skinned, strong, independent woman? Pshaw! Knowing Wizards with all their pandering, they'd also probably give them a minotaur friend, a simpering goblin, a female inventor, and a dopey male swashbuckler. And just imagine if Urza had a multicultural band of heroes including a mixed-race elf/human girl and a black pacifistic time wizard! All this pandering these days!
Oh wait, that was back in the 90s?

I was once part of a knight errand fast response team, tasked with retrieving some execs kidnapped daughter. After successfully locating her and mowing down the would be ransomers, we stood before the last metal door and instead of cracking the lock our resident idiot mr. raptor-mc-cyberlegs-with-built-in-jump-hydraulic decided to kick the door down. He critically glitched, the door flew from the hinges, slammed into the oposite wall and in the process turned a cute 5 year old girl into chunky red paste.

Speaking of bad desicions, way to go me for forgetting the goddamn title.
I dun goofed and forgot to sell my 5 cocos while they were 25 bucks. Now I don't know what the fuck to do with them. Do I hold onto them hoping that they'll slowly climb up in price from Modern?

My favorite mage kill in demon was when I told this Obreimos master not to look up. Being the obsessive fuckers mages are he could not help but look up which promptly turned him into a pillar of salt. The absolute madman
For people that have played mixed games, how do you keep each splat relevant.
With school starting, my usual is meeting less frequently now. Would people see me joining a second group as bad form?
>>55223986
Its only a problem when you ditch one game for another.
It entirely depends on your schedule and theirs. For a while I had one group meeting on Friday nights and another all day Sunday.
Theoretically you could get into trouble if they're neets and you're employed, and they want to change session times to a weekday. That however, is on them and not you.
TTRPGs are not a secret club unless you're dealing with prudes or playing WoD with closed-minded folk.
anyone who would be offended/consider it bad form is probably someone/s you don't want to play with in the first place
>Earth gets invaded by lovecraftian creatures.
>These things take the form of whatever humans see as negative, despite not truly being these things. Their power limited to how much negative energy they can harvest.
>These things feed upon negative emotions and energies. Since traditional weapons have so much negativity associated with them they do literally no damage.
>Things start to seem dire until someone throws a basketball at one and a perfectly ball shaped hole goes through it.
>Turns out since toys are so filled with positive energy it's to them what salt is to a snail.
>When people actually start believing this they sort through their dusty closets, raid toystores, and bust out the collector edition lightsabers to go fight off these creatures.

If you like mash ups and subversion of the fantasy genre, numenera scratches that itch. The basic premise is that the world has gone through so many cycles of rising to ultratech and then getting blasted back to the stone age that you can't walk down the street without tripping over something ancient and wondrous. Even the soil is suffused with nanotech which may or may not be working. The mechanics of the system buy into this wholesale, encouraging the player to find and expend any working gizmos they come across.
I'm not a fan though. The writing in the crpg gets pretty pretenous about the setting and how just EVERYTHING is fantastic and wonderful and weird. The stats system is odd as well... everything is based on pools of resources. Like a big strong guy isn't actually bigger and stronger than the team nerd, he just has more ability to dig deep and be big and strong more often in a day, at least until you stack up some discounts and such so that you can do strongman stuff for free. It feels very... meta.. with the pools dictating your actions and how hard you want to try at something.
You can just have the setting be anything more or less and fit. My team of Anime-like heroes were investigating what looked like an ancient castle, which ended up being the insides of a giant whale, then portal'd into space shortly after where we fought a living comet that spat zombies.
Got a chapter?
is it missing any details?

Give me more names. Bonus points for hateful / very imperial names
Moon was often believed to be somehow related to magic and supernatural but in modern fantasy I see a lack of monsters related to it.
Sure there is a number of cults that venerate the Moon as a Goddess or Beasts that have written "originates from the Moon" written in their description. But very few things that are influenced by moon phases or interact with moonlight. Hell I was only able to find three. THREE!
From popular culture.
Werewolves: human most of the time. On the full moon transform in monsters.
From D&D.
Moonrats Strange, large rodents that change under the influence of the moon, becoming stronger and smarter as the moon becomes fuller, until they rival any human in power and intelligence on the night of the full moon.
From Maze of the Blue Medusa.
Selenian, or Sub-Lunary man. His head is a moon that fills the room with pale white light. The moon of his head is always the same shape as the moon in the sky and the strange power of its light differs according to the stage the moon is in. Detaching one’s own head is horribly impolite. But when crescent and in extremis, he can remove his and fling it like a boomerang. It returns to his hand on a miss. He can slash it like a saber, too. No one can stand in the light of his head when it is full and tell a lie. No one can stand in his light when crescent and tell the truth.
From stuff I came up with while writing this post.
Mjesec Curse. A person affected by this curse have his Iris follow the stages of the moon. When a the moon is full the iris is iris is normal. As the moon grows the iris is partially covered by a milky circle mimiking the moon. Subjects vision deteriorates but they are now able to see ghosts, hidden doors and portals. On the full moon they are totally blind but can now create portals.
What other stuff that interacts with the moon you know of? Should we homebrew a couple of monsters?

Legends tell that the horrible monster Rikuaj was imprisoned on them moon by the gods ages ago. They are wrong. Moon i
s not the prison, Moon is the Rikuaj . He was bound, thrown in the sky and turned to stone. Forever watching the
world from above. But he is too powerfull to remain petrified forever. For this reason medusas were created. Their duty
is to look at the sky continue to petrify him. If a full month passes without a medusa somewhere glancing at the moon he
will start getting free.
And with the late dvelopment of the humans and exterimnation of medusas the world may face a terrible danger.
Do you not like the moon?
The Poltergeist Moon
For a few days, the ten-million pound mass of stone hung in the air, insulting all of the physical laws and natural inclination of stone. It contained ko Macchen's now-empty tomb and several small cave systems. After a day of confusion, the displaced bats learned the new location of their old home, and nested there each night after a full evening of mosquito hunting. No trees or other structures were brought--it was just a mass of featureless stone.
Then, the poltergeist elementals began to carve away the peaks and tors. They didn't work during the day, and during the nights the forest below was filled with sound of boulders falling from several hundred feet up. At first, the observers thought that the poltergeists were merely shaping it into a sphere. Later, it became apparent that they were carving it into an exact replica of the moon.
Five weeks later, the miniature moon flew away, taking its caves, bats, poltergeist nests, and at least one giant cave sloth that sometimes crawled out of a mock crater in order to regard the surroundings disapprovingly.
Since then, the Poltergeist Moon has flown all over the world, chasing the shifting currents of planet's magnetic field. Scholars can find patterns in the Poltergeist moon that relate to coronal ejections of the sun and the rhythms of the aurora australis.
Did you ever play a character who was genuinely fat? Not "stocky", not "girl with big boobs", actually fat. Why/why no
I rolled a orc sorceror on ESO that was pretty chubby (thinking about it now, he was pretty bara)
