A friend of mine invited me to join a light-hearted 5th ed D&D game he is running. Everyone is rolling up characters this Friday. I'm thinking of making a chef/paladin who worships a food pantheon. I need some recommendations for race and build as well as a few ideas for the fluff of the character. I'm thinking of making him a paladin along the lines of Eastern Shinto priest beliefs rather than a western Catholic priest style paladin. The campaign will probably degrade into a spoof of Dungeon Meshi, but that's not really a bad thing for this crowd.
Any suggestions?

I think it looks good but I'd personally go a little lighter and less blue on the grey.
It might be cool to really scratch and weather the black parts while leaving the grey clean to emphasize that they're replacements. Just a thought.

The new mtg set, amonkhet, is kind of underwhelming. I'm someone who enjoys cracking booster packs. Now that they've started adding these "masterpiece series" things, I'm even happier to open some packs. Problem is, Amonkhet masterpieces have barely any value. Why should I care, if I can pull a fucking gideon that's comparable in price to a masterpiece? Guess I'll open some battle for zendikar... Anyone feel the same?

When is it the time to forcibly change someone's alignment? I have a wizard in my game going by chaotic neutral. He's taken to actively thwarting the plans of the other party members and started a genocidal crusade against goblins because one managed to hit him on the first encounter.
Really seems to me like he's not being neutral at all, but I don't want to push it too far.

Your party wanders into a medium sized town of less than only 100, looking for shelter for the night.
The townspeople are friendly enough but tend to keep to themselves and avoid talking to the party spellcasters as much as possible.
The town elder offers you all a night in his home explaining his family used to be larger but is no longer with him.
Upon prodding he reveals that the town was populated 5 fold at one time but a small group of them left to get supplies from a larger city as they usually do but upon returning everyone was gone without a trace.

Obligatory ugh.
Always immaculately groomed. She usually has her batman carry a few extra uniforms in case she gets blood or grime on it. Keeps her hair short, shorn completely on the sides. Rather plain-looking on the whole, even before her years in the military littered her body with scars.
In terms of personality and appearance, I'm repurposing her from a video game I'm designing.Although in said game, as things progress, she winds up sorta losing her grip on sanity and eventually turns herself into a sort of hybrid-synthetic dragon body. It makes more sense in context.

Excuse the Disney direct-to-dvd reference pic, but you try finding a gnoll pic that doesn't have the character's face all mangled up like they stuck their face into a motorboat's fan or one that isn't straight up furry porn.
Also, I wouldn't mind if you draw her in something you feel more comfortable drawing than her armor.
Asides from her fullplate she has a set of rather colorful civvie clothes, and a dress she doesn't wear anymore because when she was a dwarf, it was a nice fit. On her new body she easily passes for a gnoll prostitute, and that ain't something she wants to put up with again.

I haven't decided exactly what he should look like, but he would be confident and attention-grabbing, shiny armour and ruffles and fancy duelling swords rather than practical, mundane gear. Preferably showing off his lustrous, boofy fur at any chance. If you'd like to give him a daring facial scar, or a flowing cape, or anything like that, I'm open to most interpretations of the idea.
