The meta is starting to get fucked BUT it is absurdly fun for casual play. Grab some ships you find interesting and start dogfighting.

The strategy can be boiled down to;
>Turrets
Ships which do not fire exclusively out of their forward arc, often reliably able to chip away at other ships. Often lose to swarms of disposable fighters.

>Swarms
Cheap disposable ships which, when taken in bulk, can overwhelm by volume. TIEs are the classic for this. Often built around force-multiplier cards. Often hurt against arc-dodgers who defy their ability to get enough guns on target to do the job.

>Aces/Arc-Dodgers
Point-heavy specialty craft which can put out big hurt and often run roughshod over the basic action economy. Poe + BB-8 is a good example; he is more difficult to get into your sights simply because his movement options are very broad. Often hurt by turrets which could give a fuck about his nimbleness.

I'm actually not too familiar with our medieval period, but the area around the rhine has lots and lots of very small castles, pretty much all of them open to the public. Something that's really cool is the medieval market in Ebernburg, the city center is from the middle ages and kept in very good shape. This year's market is 15th to 17th of September, and there's anything from medieval music to medieval food and drink, and of course clothes and actual blacksmiths crafting weapons and tools for sale. They don't have an english website, though.

Besides that, if you're visiting Europe because of its medieval history, you should see Prague. First university in Europe in 1348, and they still have the oldest active synagogue in Europe. And, of course, the castle.

On the question of where you should start your tour of Germay, I'm sorry I can't give a definite recommendation, I've got to admit I have not been around too much within my own country. But you should not start in Berlin. It's very different from the rest of Germany, and in my opinion a rather dirty city. Trier would be a good point, it has a rich history since the times of the roman empire, several World Heritage Sites and is generally a rather nice city.

It's fun. A lot lighter and fluff-focused than D&D/PF, but I think that makes it a lot better. One thing that trips people up is most of the rolls are on the player's side: the GM only really breaks out dice when something is harming a PC.

I've run a short adventure of it. It was ok, the players didn't find their character options too interesting though and I didn't really like its version of fronts so we eventually moved on to other systems.

It's probably worth giving a go, but do a one-shot before commiting to a campaign.

The DM is very experienced so I trust him. We also ran into the same problem that characters were a bit boring. He's running it with a cyberpunk setting since he found a Shadowrun hack for it. He's pretty good about us using 3rd party stuff and knows enough to make sure things are balanced.


I chose to play a gunslinger that acts as a vigilante in the poor areas of the city. Basically just making the mysterious stranger.

How can I provide the party with an option to support a zealot in the creation of a vicious Inquisition? Got a character who wants to exile every elf in the city, but the king has only humoured her so far, and she needs some sort of resources to prompt the king to switch over to supporting her cause.

She's not evil enough to play tricks or illusions, but she's also mostly unjustified.
