Magic: The Gathering
>>55246021
I wish there was a game like this. Sacrifice was the shit. Underrated masterpiece of its era.
What is the most based class and why is it Paladin?

Some Japanese artist, probably

Lawful goodness
>Magick
Is that even a word?

Is it evil to buy a slave from a race that accepts slavery of their own people?
>>55245728
Not at all.
>>55245728
1. How do you define evil?
2. Is the slave themself consenting, or are we just saying that it is considered normal among their race?
>>55245728
I'd say it depends on what you plan on doing with said slave, as well as what the laws of your own land and faith have to say on the matter
Why do some people play certain tabletop games competitively? Aren't tabletop games mostly about laying back and relaxing rather than winning at all costs? It just seems like a strange choice for a competitive outlet.
>anime poster asks inexplicable nonsequiter question again
>>55245758
Would you be happier with a different OP image then?
/NEWG/ General.
>Still three weeks out until Yagmon coalition gets new Fishman models.
>Red River Kingdoms still too expensive.
>Orbs still broken.
What the fuck am I supposed to do at my meetup, /tg/? I'm sick of using my Neo-Alquire and Mud Lummox models.
>>55244754
Do the Akashic Engrammites still have rules in the current edition? I loved how they worked like Megazord or Voltron.
The edition that came out when I was a teenager is objectively the best one all subsequent editions are pure shit
How do I use Snake Dogs competitively without running out of Energy Bones? I always seem to run out on turn four.
This doesn't include the launch of 8th 40k, yet there have been two very positive quarters for GW.
What's going on?
They got better at marketing
They stopped doing shots on the """non-toxic""" paint before board meetings.

They copied Blizzard back.
When the fuck is anyone gonna make a fucking Worm RPG so I can play with my friends?
Fuck I just want a good super hero rpg where you can roleplay as hero, villain, or policemen arresting powered people
>>55244623
Ran a game inspired by the Worm universehadn't finished the seriesusing Hero System.
As a setting it's nothing really special. Just grittier than average Supes.
>>55244623
>inb4 Wormfag shows up and gets massively triggered someone is talking about the setting that killed his family or some shit.
OP play Wild Talents, or Weaverdice if you want the "official" Worm RPG
>>55244623
Wildbow wrote a ton of material for PRT quest. Check that out ASAP if you haven't already. You can also check out the Weaver Dice stuff he wrote.
Alternatively, just get a group together for a game of Mutants & Masterminds or something.
>In which we scour fashion-shoot photographs for character portraits
This is how I leper-mage
>Necromancer-King's daughter
System for pic related?
GURPS
>>55244282
Wasn't there All Quiet on the Martian Front?
Wasn't there an EABA version?
Or an older Action! System game?
Seriously curious. I don't dislike the game, I'm just curious why so many people on /tg/ consider Magic the be-all-and-end-all of card games? What do you like about Magic, and what do you dislike about other games?
The sunken cost.
>>55244092
You can actually find people to play with.
>>55244204
But can't you just cash out for parity or more whenever you want? That's what I keep hearing.
>>55244221
There are regular communities for Yugioh, DBZ, FoW, and Pokemon near where I live, as well as a meager community for that new Star Wars game.
How do you prefer your paladins, thematically speaking? Absolutely righteous? Absolutely naive? Absolutely incompetent?
Only good Paladin is a dead one
>>55243697
Absolutely righteous!
>>55243714
Fuck off skellington.
>tell players I am running an intrigue game with multiple competing groups with competing interests
>players agree, say they are excited for intrigue
>suddenly they all go brain dead during sessions
>all their solutions are 'beat up so and so'
>not only has this gotten them into trouble when it does work and they kick a baron unconscious but has gotten them killed when they go up against someone too big for their britches
>had the first party end in a public hanging
>the second is now mostly dead
I don't know they're acting like a pack of retards.
Will agree they seem dumb, but sounds like a dumber game would be more appropriate. Unfortunately.
>>55243161
Players don't want intrigue, even if they say they do. It is not advisable to attempt to indulge them in this, for reasons which you have experienced directly.
When players claim to want intrigue, they most likely just want to do whatever they were doing before, but with more detailed factions and a feeling of impacting the setting.

When asked people say they like strong dark coffee.
When ordering people go for a latte with caramel
Trying to set up a game for absolute beginners, /tg/. Is dungeon world good for that purpose? Haven't had time to truly sit to read it. MIght go with D&D 5e, but I'd like some options.
As a rule of thumb, anything that's simple (but not braindead), and generally plays with familiar concepts from media and videogames is welcome.
Go with microlite20. The 5e version, whatever that one is called. Very simple, but still DnD dungeon crawl style game.
>>55243112
Here you go. M20 fifth. DnD 5e, but lite enough to just get a taste.
>>55243112
>>55243184
Huh, didn't know this existed. I'll definitely keep it around as an option, thanks anon!
