I was here ten years ago and I collected pretty awesome art directory, but I need your help.
I am making a pulpy weird victorian age RPG in FAE and I need some arts to inspire me and to help my players.
First adventure is supposed to be in India (before fall of Mughal Empire) or in Malaysia in the same time, later we will move to Hong Kong.

- Ignore the lore
Play tips:
- Your life points are a resource; don't get attached to them, and don't worry about losing life if doing so gives you an advantage
- Unless you can use then to kill your opponent, save burn spells for opposing creatures
- Being able to draw more cards than your opponent (card advantage) is very useful
- When deckbuilding, make sure to have a nice range of spell costs, weighted towards the lower end (mana curve). Powerful expensive spells are useless if your opponent takes you out before you can play them.

Following new Magic lore is rough. Instead of a whole series of books you get snippets online, and even the books have a wide variety in author and quality.
Also, the fan wikis leave much to be desired as far as finer details, as does the Magic site really. There's nothing wrong with getting into the lore but just don't put too much investment in it, because Wizards has kind of stopped doing so.
If you find a card or set that looks or sounds cool, look up stuff for it. Otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way to read or emotive everything.

Alright forreal, if you wanna know what's going on in the stuff that's coming out now, the link I'm about to post has the background story of our five protagonists. (http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/magic-story/magic-origins-new-era-2015-06-03) The current story is a bit... unpopular with /tg/, but it's what's going on now. Just read the "Magic Story" column on the website, updates every Wednesday.
If you wanna go beyond that, well, you're entering the maze. For about 6 years "Magic Story" was called "Uncharted Realms" and varied from "The Story, period" to "A short story from one of the dozens of planes Magic has been". Beyond that there's a bunch of books that go from a solid read to absolutely bumfuck awful.
mtgsalvation has the barest bones of lore, and what they do have is pretty god damn spotty.

I'll be DMing for the first time on Wednesday and I am building the campaign now. Looking for a bit of help/inspiration.
I know that I want the map to be the island of Okinawa (but not focusing on the Japanese aspect, I just like the simplicity of a mostly linear landmass). I know that the campaign will revolve around the genocide of gnomes, whether the adventures are willing to take a headhunting contract of 25 gold for each Gnome head, or oppose the contract and fight to save the gnomes (or generally fuck about fiddling with unrelated shit as players are usually inclined).
More details in the comments, suggestions welcome.

Ultimately, the anti Gnome front is silently being run by a dwarven mining interest of two companies wanting land the gnomes occupy as well as generally hating the weakness they represent.
Any attempts on the dwarf strongholds would rely on defeating traps, puzzles and brute strength.
Establish the world first and see how the PCs react to it first. If they decide to go with evil or good alinged characters, you can prep the campaign with that slant in mind rather than planning two entirely different story arcs.
A session zero where character motivations and pre existing character relationships are established will go a long way to prevent giving you headaches.

Could there then be a reason to make some slightly scarier ones as a Distraction Carnifex of sorts? I was thinking something like a tiny Netch from Elder Scrolls, but with twin lasgun barrels pointing out from under the lens cluster in front. Go poke people and try to get them to shoot it, since it's probably going to live through someone trying to perfunctorily remove it with a Rhino.
Or do you want them titchy and hidey until you can use them to block, so they don't notice? I admit I didn't exactly think of them as actual units until you mentioned blocking things. I could use the spider swarms that come with Xander's Abeyant, rather than using them as basing material for the Myrmidons to denote personal favour.
You could also hide a couple behind your Myrmidon squad, providing cover fuckery and Interceptor, then afrer shooting jump them over the squad to block pretty much all charges and also provide cover if they're modelled slightly taller than the baby sneks. The possibilities are ENDLESS! Muhahahahah!
