This game had a few good ideas getting slowly snuffed out by the developer's greed. Instead of going more open and encouraging others to help flesh out the game the dev is basically DRM-ing it to shit while milking people for more money to develop the same type of shitty stories.

The way I see it he either hires more people, actually pays them and develops a game he can actually charge money for. Or he just charges a small fee for the base and opens it up for others to build upon it. Very very slowly yes. There is one custom story mode, which is not compatible with current versions, as far as I am aware there are no modded models in the game, you are stuck with the few in game (Just two if you are in 3.5) and there are a few minor mods that don't do much. The game is fun for like 30 mins, would not recommend even torrenting.

Doesn't seem like the game is all that popular, since all I could find was from their own forum.
The mods that seem to get the most attention are for the 3.5 version.

the only old mod I can remember is the tentacle dreams ex mod; it lets the player undress saiko and monica when meeting them not in a sex scene, and when pulling your dick out (from what I can remember), instead of the screen going black and monica/saiko dissapearing, they'd bend over in doggystyle and you'd be able to fuck them

this torrent somehow bypassed the drm on this, but the patches are drm protected; can't believe im asking here, but does anyone here know how to bypass the DRM protection on the 2 patches (one was a normal patch and the other was a beta patch)

xstoryplayer is particularly infuriating to me. If they sat down and explained a bit of their AI/Conversation/Control system I could see this thing taking off like no one's business. It seems like it could have near chatbot-level conversational prowess, which is absurd and not matched by much of anything but AIF games. Yet all they keep doing is dicking around with their horrid little scenarios that are way too involved in stuff that is not fucking. I mean, it's neat, but tell your users how to work with it and I could see the money just rolling in.

What I don't understand is how the chatting has gone down from the initial release through version 2. Those two girls responded to far more comments and actions, and these two are just there.

The chatbot algorithms are really quite basic. It's much more apparent when you learn it's limitations.

It's reasonable, since it's actually a bit of a ballache to program stuff like that. I could easily see it being removed in future iterations in favour for a more traditional linking dialogue box/list.

he does updates like once every year or two... during the offbeater campaign he promised people who donated certain amounts to get version 3, 4 etc. but later he changed his mind and made all upgrades cost about 12$ since he couldnt deliver fast enough and the money ran out. Also since he reworked some of the base systems, none of the earlier stuff is in the game and he doesnt even plan on upgrading the old stuff since "the models have too different bone structures"

basically its a slow-ass project that isnt worth paying for... sure its fun, but its going to only a few hours of fun at most

It's a shame that copying my save from 3.0 doesn't work. I spent all that time and I don't want to do it again to continue the shitty story. Pressing the elevator to go to floor 16 and then waiting for every damn floor like it's real time is excruciatingly boring, not to mention the time it takes to just get the starting plasma thing to work.
