Yeah it didn't air in the US and it's lot more darker than the later series. Also Yugi and friends get their asses beaten at the beginning of the series.

Through out a few of the episodes you see a blur line go up, like it was ripped from a vhs.

Also about half way through episode 14 there are some annoying errors. A half width and mostly magenta version of the frame pops up and flashes for a few seconds. I don't know if its the file or the player (vlc).

well it could be that the anon who started the seed got a bad copy of it.

They could also not care as much since it was a season that released only in Japan and they made way more money off of those dvd sets and the card game that the later seasons promoted.
